It seems Doctor Doom will be getting exactly what he wants this Christmas as the Latveria dictator will get his own X-Men team this December.

They'll be debuting in X-Men #29 from writer Gerry Duggan and artist Joshua Cassara.

The reveal was made this past weekend during the Designing the X-Men Panel at SDCC.

"This is Doctor Doom with his own personal team of mutants," said Jordan D. White, X-Men Sr. editor at Marvel.

Doom's X-Men will factor into the overarching 'Fall of X' storyline playing out across several X-Men titles.  It seems the X-Men's time in the mutant utopia of Krakoa is finally about to come to an end after the mutant paradise was first introduced in 2019.

There's currently speculation that the cover below is incomplete and that several members of a new X-Men team are being kept a mystery. Doom's lightning mutant and Ms. Marvel don't appear to actually be fighting anyone.

What are the odd's we'll hear Doom utter, 'To me, my X-Men!'?

Doom's X-Men

X-MEN #29 OFFICIAL SOLICITATION: ENTER: DOOM’S X-MEN! With the X-Men at their lowest point, yet another group has moved to claim their title…this one a band of patriotic Latverian mutants loyal only to the great and terrible Doctor Doom! Beloved and celebrated by the nation they are bound to protect, this is one squad of X-Men for whom the Fall of X has given way to glorious summer.

As long as a white guy is leading, people will be cool with it.

@NegativeNerd - Why do you have to play the race card?

You know damn well if Bishop or Storm became the new leader of the X-Men people would be perfectly fine with it.

@CorndogBurglar - The race card has long been played. But if it was Luke Cage, or Echo, we would be getting the "go woke, get broke" messages. Same with why people were perfectly fine with Frank Castle being War Machine, and Doom being Iron Man. But had issues others (Sam as Cap, Jane as Thor, etc).
