SPOILERS AHEAD!

So, you've watched Age of Ultron. You're either left butthurt, or excited for the upcoming movies. I, for one, liked the movie. But there was also a scene -or should I say several- that I didn't see much people mention, but was a big deal to, not just me, but the whole [frick]in' world itself! Or maybe not...

Vison was able to carry Thor's hammer. Wat.
 

1.) He's a Machine (Hammer in an Elevator Theory)


Odin: Holy crap. Thor, [frick] off! The elevator is the one-true king of Asgard! All hail the mighty Elevator!

Since he is technically a souless, heartless object (like your mother-in-law), he isn't considered a real "being," like a floor, or a table. And when you put Mjölnir in an elavator's floor, it is able to "lift" it, right? Put it in a table, you can carry the table with Mjölnir on it... right? Sorry, I didn't check my Marvel Writer's Dues Ex Handbook...
 

2.) He's [frick]ing worthy


I make this look easy...

Step aside, Thor. The 9 Realms got a new protector, and his name is VISION! Maybe because of the Vision's righteousness and over-all good guy attitude, he truly is a worthy being.

I don't think you're supposed to put too much thought into it.

Vision handing Thor his hammer was just a clever plot device that was supposed to show that the Avengers could trust him, since they were arguing about their suspicions.

Vision has the Mind Stone literally implanted in his forehead

He has full control of one of the most powerful objects in the universe

If you listen to his dialogue, he's also a true warrior, and is fighting for all of the right things

He is definitely worthy

Plus, if you need more, Thor helped create him, and Mjolnir was involved in his creation

Hey let's not forget that Vision has an infinity stone in his head, like DrKinsolving said. But more importantly, Thanos needs that stone to gauntlet it up. In summary, Thanos will kill Vision in Infinity War part 1, and he will come back to life in part 2 after Thanos hath been defeated.

Without arguing the specifics, that is the one part of the movie I did not like. It was all pretty well done with a lot shoved into a little time. This one item was on the weak side.

As far as Thanos needing the Mind Stone, I think what will happen is that Thanos will remove the Mind Stone, which will cause Vision to die. Then Scarlet Witch and/or Dr. Strange will find a magical way to bring him back to life (Scarlet Witch seems the most obvious, since she received her powers from the Mind Stone.) He doesn't have the Mind Stone in the comics, so there must be another way for him to have life.

I have avoided almost all spoilers for this film. I got ambushed by the death of an Avenger on a Deadpool thread. Dick. Other than that have done a good job avoiding them. But this article drew me in. Glad I read it so I don't waste time during the film trying to figure anything out and can just enjoy it. Interesting theories. Will see it this weekend. Him only being a couple days old makes more sense to me I guess. Will see how I feel after the film.

I usually read almost all spoilers before I watch a movie. I know some people that thank that ruins it for them. Not me though. Like I said then I know what's going on exactly and can just enjoy the film. Gonna try it differently this time. Avengers is my all time favorite CBM. So I have high hopes for this.

How does one become WORTHY? Thor was a douchenozzle until he proved himself in the first film. So how does one BECOME worthy? Cap is at least as noble as Thor. How is worthiness judged is what I want to know. It's not just about being a great warrior. It's something more than that. Thor still has an ego and is still worthy. So it's not about being humble. He's not really considered innocent. So what did Odin mean when he placed the enchantment on the dang hammer?

Exactly. Plus he's not entirely robotic as he's made with robotic and organic tissue. The Vision is worthy, plain and simple.
