Beginning February 9th, Rhodey will have his own ongoing series titled IRON MAN 2.0.

“It was a pretty incredible feeling,” the writer shares of both seeing Kitson’s work and being part of the redesign process. “I’ve never had a hand in a [redesign] like this for one thing—though to be fair, [Barry] did most of the heavy lifting. It’s exciting to think about how we might be making a lasting change to the character here, introducing a new armor that could last for years. I was even excited for the character; Tony changes armors on a somewhat semi-regular basis, [but] Rhodey far less often. So it was cool to see him finally get a serious upgrade."

Now without further ado, here are the sketches by Artist Barry Kitson:

I'm sorry but I do prefer the classic, bad-ass, heavy tank looking War Machine. He is supposed to be all fire power, not sleek and aerodynamic. The design looks cool for anyone BUT Rhodes......I agree with Grif, if it ain't broke don't fix.

the original made him actually look like a tank which, in that case called a war machine looks better being bulky then look ing like a frickin ailen

Doesn't the evolution of "War Machines" armor make sense from both the perspective of war/fighting and the progress of technology?

From a realistic military stand point the objective equipment especially heavy artillary is to make anything produced in a certain respect, effective but not obvious.

Evolution is neccessary for progress.
