The Hawkeye mantle has been shared mainly by two characters, Clint Barton and Kate Bishop. Clint has not had a solo series for a while now and the recent comics that featured him also had Kate as a partner. However, Marvel Comics will feature Clint in a solo series this time around with a debut date of January 2020.

The new series is titled Hawkeye: Freefall and will written by Matthew Rosenberg and Otto Schmidt. According to Hollywood Reporter, the title will have Clint face off against some mysterious character that has picked up the mantle of Ronin as well as face off against the mystic villain The Hood.

Matthew Rosenberg is currently writing Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order - Dark Temple which is being used as a bridge to the release of the video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The latest issue, number 3, was published on October 9 and is pencilled by Paolo Villanelli.

It seems that fans of Clint Barton will have two new projects to be excited for. Disney+ will be launching a Hawkeye television series and now a new comic book series has been revealed. This is all the information we have on the new comic book series but stay tuned in case more information or even artwork pops up! Will you be reading the new Hawkeye comic? Let us know.
