Possible SPOILERS: Has The Identity Of Marvel's New HULK Been Revealed?
The other day Marvel announced that they would debut an all-new, all-different Incredible Hulk after their Secret Wars event, and since then the rumor mill has smashed into overdrive. Talking Comic Books has it on good authority that the new Hulk is... well, someone you won't expect!
We were told that the character chosen to be the new Hulk would cause a bit of controversy, and if the following is true then that may be an understatement. Many guessed that since Jane Foster now wields the hammer of Thor, that it might be Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk that'd take up the mantle of the Green Goliath, and Bleeding Cool got a reader's tip that it'd be the psychopathic Ultimate version of Reed Richards, but Talking Comic Books claims to have the answer. According to them the new Hulk will be none other than Amadeus Cho.
This super-genius, also known as Mastermind Excello, is said to be the seventh (or eight, or tenth, depending on who you ask) most intelligent character in the Marvel Universe, and has been an ally of The Hulk's for years. He was co-created by Greg Pak, who is believed to be heading up the new book along with Frank Cho. The site also reports that "Bruce Banner will be separated from the Hulk persona, but will still remain a part of the universe."
Obviously we don't know for certain if this is true or not, but chances are we'll find out soon enough one way or the other. Thoughts?
