Were all those Marvel movies really that bad?

Were all those Marvel movies really that bad?

People complain so much about Daredevil,Blade trinity,Fantastic Four, and so on and I say why?

Daredevil.I remember going and seeing all those big MARVEL movies for the first time, and then thinking...Wow! That was pretty good!I really enjoyed Daredevil and I thought that the dark, gritty side of it was perfect, and all the actors were excellent themselves in portraying their very complex characters.I thought it was just another great Marvel movie.

Blade Trinity.I remember watching Blade trinity and thinking to myself, this is definitely the best of all three.I loved the nightstalkers and I REALLY liked the fact that Dracula had finally got his match with our little Blade.I had fantasized about that fight since I was little cause I grew up watching Blade.

X-men 3.Why so much negative reception?I mean come on, it had everything that everyone was asking for...well almost. The main enemy being Magneto(again)WAS a little boring.I wanted at least Apocalypse or someone new.Besides that, I thought it was really good and I loved Beast being portrayed by Kelsey Grammer. I was sitting in the movie theater and I knew I recognized Beast's actor.I figured it out by his eyes and voice and excitement filled my head as I discovered that it was Frasier.(A great show me and my girlfriend both grew up with.)

Hulk.I know that this poorly received film was not as good as it could have been(also could have left out Nick Nolte)but to my child-like eyes,(and my father's)this was gold.because to me, Hulk was alive!!He was throwing tanks and smashing walls and crumbling the foundation of the speakers in the theater room.
I loved seeing him run.I honestly felt as free as he did in that movie, when I saw those green tree trunks whizzing past like bullets, I was four again.Too much story maybe...but you still have to admit that Hulk looked great and the action was decent.

Fantastic Four.I was so fascinated with this when it first came out, I started reading comics and playing the game and when I finally saw the movie I truly was amazed. For those characters and the roles portrayed, I think the actors did truly well.Galactus's run disappointed me, but The surfer and the others were played out fantastically I think.

My point is, is that these movies that the critics and the box office and even you guys are so picky upon, can always bring out the kid in us,and were not BAD movies...just misunderstood I think.Sometimes, people just go by what others say, not even watching the movies for themselves, adding to further rejection.
I've always been able to watch these movies all the way through.I bet a lot of you fans out there that knock these movies can too.

We have to be happy when these filmmakers make some of these movies.they aren't no Nolan or Goyer, but they still try hard and deserve more. The movies can't be exactly like the comic book, and even when they are, they can still be poorly received. I just think that we shouldn't nitpick so much and just be happy when they ARE watchable films worthy of the fans. These movies should be given credit for what they did right, and just given a break and simply enjoyed instead of argued over for its flaws, when the flaws really aren't as great as we all sometimes make them out to be.

I just wanted to get this off my chest, for anyone that reads this, I appreciate you taking the time to read it, and I say to you all...
Good Day peeps!!

Well some of the were not the best but they did not suck. The good thing about franchises continuing is that mistakes are learned from and that films become better, I believe DC & Marvel have learned the do's and don'ts. Look how Nolan improved Batman films and I look forward to X-men the last stand and other new films like Superman and Spider-man. I know its mainly a Marvel discussion I just wanted to point some things out. With new material on the way thats a good thing because some times theses films need to be renewed with a new style, BTW Cool Article!

the only marvel movies that dissapointed me was elektra and blade 3. i love all the rest. for me it is enough to see live action versions of the heroes of my childhood, even if there are some changes.

@dellamorte1872: Since when did you have to be an avid comic book reader to be a comic book movie fan? Calling him ignorant because he hasn't read all the comics is just ridiculous.

Ok yes, saying that the are good interpretations is wrong. But saying that they are good movies is another matter.

Its people who lack the capability to accept other people's opinions that ruin this site. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I liked Daredevil, X3 wasn't bad. But even with these good points I still think most of these were bad. FF was nothing like the comics at all, Blade was ok but I liked the second one the best. Hulk was trash. Nice article dude.

@ della Please keep your negative comments to yourself. What have you contributed?

Oh, so only comic book ignorant ppl can enjoy the above movies? LOL, wow! What a load of shit! I have been enjoying comic books for the majority of my 33 years on this planet and I still enjoyed most of those. DD was a disappointment to me when I saw it,(director's cut's better) and I think that FF could've been better, but I quite enjoyed Hulk & X3, & I have been reading both of those books since childhood. Never been a big Blade fan, so no opinion there. It's his opinion, get over it!

I really enjoyed the Fantastic Four movies ~ I thought that they were excellent; and the same goes for Daredevil! I agree, these were really good, and I don't agree with putting them down. Now Blade, I must admit that I haven't seen it yet; but my son loves the series! Thanks for sharing.
