Marvel Comics is describing this as the "greatest wedding" in the publisher's history, and while time will tell on that front, "The Bride of Doom" is fast approaching to celebrate Fantastic Four's 60th Anniversary.
Kicking off in the pages of issue #32, the storyline promises to include unpredictable twists that will change the dynamic of Marvel's First Family forever.
Doctor Doom has finally found a bride worthy of his grandeur - the Latverian hero known as Victorious. However, the Marvel Universe's chief megalomaniac won’t be the only Fantastic Four character whose life will be changed forever, and his upcoming nuptials may lead to the division of Marvel’s First Family (we've already learned that The Thing is fated to one day kill Reed Richards).
As for that other character's love life, Marvel Comics has revealed that The Human Torch will be forced to choose between his soulmate and his ex-wife. And because a simple love triangle isn’t enough, it seems Johnny Storm's first heartbreak, Crystal, will come back to rekindle their flame.
Now, to celebrate the upcoming nuptials of Doctor Victor Von Doom and Victorious, some of the industry’s hottest artists have turned out a series of stunning variant covers including Marvel's Stormbreaker Peach Momoko, Skottie Young, Valerio Schiti, and Ron Lim. There's even a "Hidden Gem" variant featuring some incredible Fantastic Four artwork by the legendary Jack Kirby.
