A YOUNG GIRL'S ABDUCTION REUNITES JOHN AND JIM CORRIGAN - EMMETT SCANLAN AND MICHAEL JAMES SHAW RETURN - John (Matt Ryan) and Zed (Angélica Celaya) return to New Orleans when Detective Jim Corrigan (guest star Emmett Scanlan) asks for their help in the case of a missing girl. Papa Midnite (guest star Michael James Shaw) takes steps toward exacting his revenge on John. Meanwhile, the truth behind the Rising Darkness comes to light. Harold Perrineau also stars.

Based on the wildly popular comic book series "Hellblazer" from DC Comics, seasoned demon hunter and master of the occult John Constantine specializes in giving hell... hell. Armed with a ferocious knowledge of the dark arts and his wickedly naughty wit, he fights the good fight - or at least he did. With his soul already damned to hell, he's decided to leave his do-gooder life behind. But when demons target Liv, the daughter of one of Constantine's oldest friends, he's reluctantly thrust back into the fray - and he'll do whatever it takes to save her. Before long, it's revealed that Liv's "second sight," an ability to see the worlds behind our world and predict supernatural occurrences, is a threat to a mysterious new evil that's rising in the shadows. And now it's not just Liv who needs protection; the angels are starting to get worried too. So, together, Constantine and Liv must use her power and his skills to travel the country, find the demons that threaten our world - and send them back where they belong. After that, who knows... maybe there's hope for him and his soul after all.

Constantine features:
Matt Ryan as John Constantine

Charles Halford as Chas Chandler
Angélica Celaya as Zed Martin

Miles Anderson as Dr. Roger Huntoon

Hopefully this will get another season. Tonight's episode was good. If this does get another season I hope Deadman & Zatanna will be in it. I'd like to see Swamp Thing too but with a tv budget I don't see it happening.

Well, at least Corrigan becomes the Spectre in the finale. According to Daniel Cerone's Twitter account,Dr. Fate would have showed up in season 1, episode 18. So maybe if a miracle happens and the show ends up somewhere, we'll see him this fall.

If we don't hear some renewal news soon, someone needs to start a petition. I rarely get on board with saving shows(Teen Titans, Green Lantern: the animated series and Young Justice) but this is a cause worth fighting for. #SAVECONSTANTINE

If the show really is getting cancelled then I say that WB should just cast Matt Ryan as Constantine in the Dark Universe film. If Constantine is cancelled, then they won't really have the "TV and Movies happening at the same time restricting the storytelling" excuse not to. The only thing I can think of is if they wanted to cast bigger names to play Constantine and Corrigan, which is likely since they seem to be making up for characters being lesser known by casting A-List Actors (Suicide Sqaud). However, I can't imagine any other actor playing Constantine better, Matt Ryan literally looks like he walked out of the comics.
