Adam Savage of Mythbuster's fame has become a staple at the annual San Diego Comic-Con and released a video yesterday in which he discussed getting ready for the big event.
Each year, Savage and the mythbusters crew have a panel during the con, but on top of that he also goes "incognito" around the convention floor. Over the years he has appeared in costume as a number of characters including a ring wraith from Lord of the Rings, The Rocketeer, Jack Sparrow and more. This year he is teasing an all new costume he has created.
Savage spent years working as a model maker at Industrial Light and Magic working on films like Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Since leaving the model making business Savage has continued to make prop replicas and often posts videos on his progress.
The gang also discussed the Comic-Con party scene, including Savages failed attempt at crashing the EW party and thus starting his own annual Comic-Con party. They go through the "real comic-con," artists alley and talk about etiquette when approaching cosplayers, especially of the female variety: "Don't be a creeper!"
