After playing the Man Without Fear in three seasons of Daredevil and crossover series The Defenders, Charlie Cox finally made his MCU debut in Spider-Man: No Way Home last December. Rumour has it we'll see the hero make his presence felt in She-Hulk and Echo, but Marvel Studios may have even more ambitious plans beyond those shows.
Following recent rumours of plans for a new movie or TV show, Production Weekly has listed a project described simply as "Daredevil reboot." It's unclear whether this would be for theaters or Disney+, but an MCU-set "season 4" would make fans very happy.
While there was a lot of disappointment surrounding Netflix's decision to cancel its Marvel Television TV shows, Daredevil was the only one fans campaigned for with the #SaveDaredevil hashtag on social media. As a result, Marvel Studios and Disney are bound to have taken note of the character's popularity, so a fresh start on the big or small screen stands a strong chance of being a hit.
Production Weekly tends to be a little hit-and-miss (sometimes sharing loglines based on rumours or what they've found on Wikipedia), so it's best to take this with a pinch of salt for now.
Either way, Marvel Studios clearly has big plans for Daredevil over the next few years. Even across three seasons on Netflix, the hero's world wasn't explored to its full potential, so we have faith in the MCU rectifying that.
