News has been fairly quiet on the Daredevil front lately, but a Tweet from director David Slade seems to indicate that a first draft of the script (from Fringe writer Brad Caleb Kane) has been completed. While there's still clearly some work to be done, the promise of some sort of update in the New Year is very promising, and with any luck, it will be news on the start of production or even a release date. Here's what Slade told his followers just a few moments ago.

Daredevil comic book series has recently been relaunched by Mark Waid, stepping out of the shadow of the Frank Miller years and returning the character to his swashbuckling roots. Whether the big screen reboot will follow this direction or maintain the "dark" tone established by writers such as Millar, Brian Michael Bendis and Ed Brubaker is unclear.
