Is Deadpool 2 going to be full of Easter Eggs? Based on that recently released trailer, yes, but Ryan Reynolds' Merc with the Mouth is celebrating the holidays in style with this new promo poster for the highly anticipated sequel. As you can see, it doesn't exactly reveal anything about what's to come in the movie but it is a fun way to remind us that it's on the way and now set for release even sooner.

Originally scheduled for a June debut, Deadpool 2 is now coming on May 18th which makes it competition for both Avengers: Infinity War and Solo: A Star Wars Story. Tracking points to the movie not matching its predecessor but it should still be a hit and that means we'll get
a third instalment?

As of right now, it's thought that X-Force will follow this instalment but with the Disney/Fox deal in the process of happening, it may never become a reality. What do you guys hope comes next for the Merc with the Mouth? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts

@aflynn - Yeah. Seems like with Deadpool you could have found some way to throw in a joke or inuendo.

@Cayde6 - That would have been perfect. Imagine Deadpool as Veruca, Ajax as Wonka, and TJ Miller as an Umpa Lumpa. Comedy gold right there.

This is exactly what everybody means about the marketing being shit this time. Especially compared to the first's.

@Nebula - it might be crap now but give some time. It's gotta deal with Infinity War. They don't want to get lost in the marketing shuffle.

@Nebula - Agreed. Marketing this time around is completely uninspired. That is what happens when people become complacent because of their success. Why even make an effort anymore.

Couldn't they be a little more creative? I hope Reynolds is preparing something big...

Yea, the movie itself may be better but the marketing has been far less fun so far. They're likely waiting for late April to really ramp it up

I dont like the fact that Reynolds had something to do with Tim Miller not coming back to direct this time. It makes me not even want to watch this movie. What an ego Reynolds has. Just by the first few trailers, it’s apparent that the touch of the first movie isn’t there smh.

All the promotions for this have left me uninspired. I guess the promotions for the first one were done by Miller?.

@AnthonyVonGeek - I'm guessing the difference is that this time Fox knows the movie could make them a lot of money, and so this time they've brought in the same marketing team they use for all their big movies and (with the exception of a wrinkle or two) they're following the standard Hollywood marketing playbook, step-by-step.

Please do X-Force next. Let Feige collaborate with them on it to fit it into the MCU and just establish that it takes place there. All it would take is for Cable to be a little grayer and older looking, establishing that more time for him has passed than it has for everyone here in the present. Then Deadpool makes some crack about it, and Nathan gives some cryptic speech about having been “here, there and back again” like he used to do in the comics, and how he’s created “ripples in the timestream” and things are different now. Something like that, while looking at something very much MCU related (a SHIELD helicarrier overhead perhaps?). Then Wade breaks the fourth wall and looks at the audience and says, “How f*cking convenient is that sh!t?” Or something along those lines.

X-Force could basically be the first true MCU X-film that way.

Everything about this movie screams "comedy sequel curse". It worked the first time because it was fresh but now they're just repeating the same old thing.
