DEADPOOL Screenwriters Say To Expect More Obscure Characters Like Negasonic Teenage Warhead In The Sequel

The first Deadpool film featured a cameo by Hydra Bob and a surprising, breakout role for Brianna Hildebrand's Negasonic Teenage Warhead. What other obscure X-Men do you hope to see in the sequel?

Speaking to Latino-Review about their upcoming Sony film, Life (which is not secretly a Venom prequel), screenwriters Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese said that while Domino and Cable are the big, headlining additions to Deadpool, comic book fans should keep their eyes peeled for more obscure X-Men characters.  In particular, it sounds as if it will be more than just Cable and Domino that team-up with the Merc with a Mouth to stop whoever is the villain this time around.

"Yeah, Cable and Domino grabbed the headlines on Deadpool.  But there are definitely some more obscure characters that people know or that real diehards know that will be in there just by virtue of we need a new villain, and we need some new good guys to compliment (Deadpool), but it is growing. Of course, it will be all about the lunacy that is Deadpool himself."

What other obscure X-Men characters owned by Fox would you like to see appear in the movie? Sound off in the comment section below.

@ThatAlexDude - Pretty much. And I dunno. I always thought the Deadpool Corps was jumping the shark in a way. Like saying "Hey! We ran out of ideas and we know you love Deadpool, so here! A whole lot of Deadpools!". It also makes Deadpool less unique of a character, and that'll take away from whatever novelty he has.

@BillMurray - Sorry for late reply. But because of deathpool, the corps are pretty much destroyed

@BillCipher999 - Really?

@BillMurray - As i recall, deathpool kills them all. So one movie would mean a quick end for the deadpool corps.

@MarkJulian

Great find, man. You accidentally put "comic book fans should should keep their eyes peeled for more obscure X-Men characters." in the article.

@BlackBeltJones - I would wanted to see a bit of conflict with him and Wade in the Hellhouse in the first movie as a bit of a cameo but I hope he does turn up in the second movie

After the subtle inclusion of a Helicarrier in the first movie, I believe the writers are ballsy enough to include a cameo of a version of Taskmaster called Masktaster or some shit.
