Deadpool theory.

Fox execs are shown DP test footage in 2011

Fox Exec - "I'm gonna record this on my phone so it can leak someday."

They don't green light it in 2011 because they want to see how FC is received.

FC = Good, but no money, so they don't leak the DP yet.

2014: DOFP, money + good reviews = yes

"leak" footage
Footage is leaked - "Oh, the fans like it.. take it down".

calls up Blur: "Yeah, can you release it in HD?"

Officially release footage

- fans adore it, want movie

take down footage

"TAKE IT DOWN, PUT IT ON YOUTUBE"

YouTube footage (under the guise of somebody who happened to download it)

take it down, but this time the fans have managed to download and share... they really want that movie.

Announce movie.

Think about it, if this leak was unintentional, the footage wouldn't have stayed up as long as it did. It would have been down within hours, not days.

This is definitely not something worth posting. It's like a bad IMDB post.
