When you think about adapting
Deadpool to the silver screen, one of the most essential elements that you absolutely need to translate well is
Wade Wilson's sense of humour.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine failed miserably at this, and that was one of the many reasons that film, and especially its version of
Deadpool turned out so poorly. Furthermore, you can't really just write a bunch of "funny" lines for the character in a script and expect the portrayal to be humourous - as it is with any truly good comedy, the person portraying the character needs to be somewhat funny themselves.
Cue
Ryan Reynolds and
T.J. Miller, who play
Deadpool and
Weasel (respectively) in the upcoming mutant film. Both actors are known for being A-Grade comedians, and, according to fellow
Deadpool star
Ed Skrein, they've brought just that to the scenes of
Deadpool.
Skrein's next film to be released, the action
Transporter: Refueled, releases September 4th, and thus he is currently on a press tour to promote the film. While in an interview with
USA Today, Skrein praised the ad-lib skills of both actors, and expressed his hope for a blooper reel that showcases all the hilarious content that doesn't make the final cut of the film. Talking of the scene in the extremely well-received
Deadpool trailer (the hyperlink is to the

Francis (later to be known as
Ajax) is wheeling Wade Wilson in for the
Weapon X operations to be begun on Wilson, Skrein made the following comment:
"The only sad thing about the scene was that Ryan did about seven different versions of that, and being called ‘Posh Spice’ is the only one I’ve seen so far. I hope that some of the other ones come out. Maybe (the filmmakers) will release a blooper reel with all the other alternatives. Ryan is such a funny guy and had so many comedic moments. That was just one of them".
He went on to speak further of Reynolds & Miller's ad-lib skills, saying:
“When you have people like Ryan Reynolds and T.J. Miller in the movie, you can guarantee that they are going to be riffing. Especially T.J. He was like an uncontrollable substance. He made everyone on the set laugh so much, he had everyone in tears".
How about it, folks? Are you hoping for a release of the
Deadpool blooper reel? With the liks of Reynolds and Miller involved, it would be sure to be full of hilarious (and totally inappropriate) moments. Make sure to sound off with your thoughts in the comments below, and don't forget to share and hit that thumbs up button!
