POLL: What Do You Think About DEADPOOL's Big Screen Costume?

On Friday, we got our first look at Ryan Reynolds suited up as Deadpool for the 2016 movie. Arguably one of the most comic book faithful costumes ever to be brought to the big screen, how would you rate this live-action take on the Merc with the Mouth? Here's you chance to tell us!

It wasn't too long ago that a Deadpool movie appeared to be an impossibility, especially after Fox botched his big screen debut in 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Ryan Reynolds spent years deflecting questions about when and if the movie was going to happen, but it really did appear to be dead for a while. However, some "leaked" test footage showed the studio once and for all just how passionate the character's fans were about seeing Deadpool finally get his due.

Following confirmation of a release date and some impressive casting additions, production recently kicked off and the first official image of Ryan Reynolds suited up as the Merc with the Mouth was unveiled this past Friday. It's still hard to believe, but Deadpool is happening!

So, what do you think of the suit? Does it stand out as being too unrealistic in a world full of comic book movies which give their lead's realistic makeovers? Is it nice to finally see a superhero wearing the costume they're famous for donning in the source material? Here's your chance to let us know, so cast your vote below and then be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place!

Copy and paste costumes work sometimes. Sometimes it just doesnt work live action but in this case it does. But I can tell the subtle changes they made.

Been reading up on some Deadpool, they should really have Nolan North be the voice in his head.

Oh yeah, this movie will be b-a-n-a-n-a-s. Can't wait.

@kevberg

Spider-Man lenses were still, they never popped out.

Even if you pop them out to show expression, it won't make any sense since real eyes inside can't do anything to pop those lenses.

And if you believe he will have some device all the time when he is talking to control the popping then it sounds ridiculous.

The eyes are clearly CGI, I thought it was obvious?
Which is really great to add the cartoon-like expressions of DPool.

This CBM is really going to be very very unique and can probably even grip those experiencing CBM fatigue.

If they're keeping DP's costume this accurate, I wonder if Morena Baccarin is going all out blue skin, white hair too!

It just goes to show that Fox has mercy on all MCU fans. They dont want them to cry anymore.

Dude, I know they were not part of the mask and added after wearing the mask but those were not dynamic lenses which can show emotion. And they were same size thorough out the whole Spider-Man movies.

I understand what you are saying that when even there is need to show emotion change the lense, but it doesn't not make sense in movie, since nobody can show emotion from his eye inside of a mask to the outside of the mask.

By your logic the movie won't be live action but an animated cartoon.

Deadpool looks amazing, I hope that Wolverine and Cyclops also get their Iconic comic book costumes in future X-men movies.

It sounds like your trying to explain Deadpool as if he existed in the the real world....

Stop! He's not Batman, haha

I said it was perfect! Like I said before, I just wish it was made of a more leathery material.

@Kevberg

Yes I did! I'm thinking they're going to CGI enhance the eyes for when the performance needs some emotion.
Like with Mystique, who's eyes were digitally turned yellow after Romijn had some problems with the contacts.

Best costume in Fox's history!

Looks pretty cool. I mean, it's pretty much exactly like the comic and videogame counterparts. People have long since complained about costumes deviating too far from the source material (though to be fair, sometimes the original designs don't translate) so here we go, a very accurate costume.

Ahbi, your current lack of film imagination is making me weep.
There's a million and one ways to do it. Any way the director see's fit is usually the best answer.
I only have to live to see 2016 end to die a happy geek.
AbhiShake

@DrKinsolving

I know he is not Batman, but whatever powers are shown in movies are made believable like in Avengers or Captain America etc.

Batman had white eyes in TDK too but it had good explaination for it and it wasn't used to show emotion.

It's not a comic or animation or Game, it's a live action adaptation of Deadpool, so it should have those basic believable things.

CGIng his eyes will make it look like animation not live action.

When you adapt anything from one medium to another then you have to follow the rules of the medium it is adapted.

What? Deadpool is all about NOT following the rules, he breaks the 4th wall....

This movie will be pure entertainment for me, I loved the way the eyes looked in the test footage!!

Me too, I think Marvel has the rights to Taskmaster and Bullseye now, I wonder if Sinister will be involved at all, probably not.... Can't wait though, I still can't believe this movie is finally happening!
