As you should be aware by now, the latest script by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick has leaked online. I just got done reading and thought I'd give you guys my take.

Oops! Apparently Fox don't want anyone saying nice things about their scripts, so we have had to take down the review. Still, its only been up long enough for every single one of you to read, so no harm done like.

Shane Black should Direct it FTW! But seriously I'm glad you enjoyed the script of theirs. I figured we had nothing to worry about with Reynolds and Zombieland writers on board. It'll probably be no different in changing tones than a film like Zombieland or Kiss,Kiss Bang Bang would be.

Great review @Ror, I thought the script was pretty cool too, and I hope Reynolds sticks with it.

I've got to read this script. Your review has me very curious and anxious. Looked for the script on Cinema Blend but couldn't find it.

Reynolds should just stick to GREEN LANTERN now, but as he's played DEADPOOL (sort of LOL) already, I suppose he's cool 4 this, but they could get away with an unknown good actor you know too! We want MASHED UP FACE PROPER DEADPOOL not REYNOLDS mug all the way through it or BARAKAPOOL! : P

No to R.I.P.D. let another actor do it, sick of the same old actors, Geezuz lol.

The sad thing is tho... FOX shouldn't have to change the chararter in the first place... he should have been perfect or near enough in BORIGINS, sad HOLLYWOOD 9 times outta 10 gotta do weak twisted their take version piece of sh1T lol.

From what I've read up top ^^^

It could be good but come on... this is FOX!

They wont ever put a bit of blood in a WOLVERINE movie ffs???

I hate knowing about early scripts because the end result is normal a let down later on!

Damn X-MEN: FIST A$$ lol.

After reading their review, as fun as it was; I don't think the guy who wrote it knows DeadPool is not a Marvel Studios Film.

Check out the comments...

I'm amazed at how many people still don't know what is and isn't a marvel studios/universe film. The Avengers will probably clear most of that up... But I'd be lying if I said it didn't eat at me a little bit.

Sounds really good. Hope that it happens with Reynolds and that 20Th Century Fox uses this script. Sounds really funny and gory at the same time which is what Deadpool needs.

For the director, you need someone who can handel comedy, action, and characters. My votes for director would be for...
David Wain (Role Models, The Ten, Wet Hot American Summer)

Greg Mattola (Superbad, Adventureland, Paul)

Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang)

Kyle Newman (Fanboys)

David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express, Snow Angels, Your Highness)

Jody Hill (Observe and Report, The Foot Fist Way)

All 6 of theses directors would be good because they are good at comedy, have done and have the potential to do really good action, and we know what they can do as far as comedy while pushing an R rating (which is what Deadpool needs), but could do some funny gory violence, with no limits. Plus imagine seeing one of theses guys names on the poster for a Deadpool movie and knowing it ways also from the guys who wrote Zombieland. You know it would be a really funny movie.

I just read how they are going to connect/disconnect it from the Wolverine movie.

Wouldnt be awesome if this ended up being made by Marvel and they did that to bring X-Men and Deadpool (and those characters) into the Marvel Ciinematic Universe.

That would be the awesome way ever to make it in continuity and pretty much every fan would love it.

I decided to quit reading it. Its good enough that I really want to see it on the screen.

I gotta say, though, the swearing is a bit much. I feel it runs counter to Deadpool's child-like zaniness.

After reading all 112 pages, there is only one thing I would like to see revised.

I won't go into specifics just in case some members would rather wait if/when it shows on the big screen, but I would like the gunfight scenes in the lobby changed. It seems too "Hollywood"

Other than that, it's a great script :D

it sounds promising, but its being handled by fox.

maybe it might have the look & feel of "natural born killers".

i'm still not sure weather or not it should get made.

i don't want to see it f*cked up.

Ahhhhhhh just finished and have gotta say that was F*#€%]#* amazing!!!

This has got to be made ! This would be so cool, it's funny, action packed and totaly crazy and pretty damn true to good old wade Wilson/ Deadpool! Ryan Reynolds has GOT to do THIS movie, if they stick to the script I can wait until he's free to get it on the big screen.

Yes I'm Geeking out big time but that script is pretty dammm sweet!

Sorry for the nerdburst!

iconstatic - 10/13/2010, 5:48 AM
Anyone know where to download it?

It sounds [frick]ing great, but an R-rated Deadpool sounds like a bad idea. You end up alienating a good chunk of the people who usually pay to see superhero films, and you end up with bombs like Watchmen.
