Bruce Campbell May Have Confirmed His Involvement In DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS

While there's a chance he's just having fun with April Fool's Day, frequent Sam Raimi collaborator Bruce Campbell may have just confirmed his involvement in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

In late February, actor Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead; Spider-Man trilogy), a frequent collaborator of director Sam Raimi (Spider-Man trilogy), teased that he'd had "a blast, working in a certain city, with a certain director on a certain movie with a certain actor."

While he could've been referring to any project, he attached a photo of the London skyline to his tweet, which just so happens to be where Raimi is currently filming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Considering their history and his memorable cameos across the original Spider-Man trilogy, it's not a stretch to assume Campbell could have a small part to play in the upcoming Marvel Studios sequel, and he may have just inadvertently confirmed his involvement.

Earlier this afternoon, Campbell, as part of an April Fool's Day joke, shared a tweet with fake script pages from In the Multiverse of Madness where he references the Necronomicon and his role as Ash Williams in the Evil Dead franchise. Now, while this could be an elaborate prank, the tweet is notable for being the first time he's actually directly referenced Doctor Strange 2

Raimi is in the director's chair with a screenplay from Jade Bartlett and Michael Waldron. Filming began in November in the United Kingdom, but was put on hold in January due to a new lockdown in England. A restart was never officially announced, but production is believed to have resumed principal photography in mid-February.

Benedict Cumberbatch is headlining the sequel as Doctor Stephen Strange with a supporting cast consisting of Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Benedict Wong as Master Wong, Rachel McAdams as Dr. Christine Palmer, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Karl Mordo, Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez, and Adam Hugill as Rintrah (rumored).

Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness hits theaters March 25, 2022.

Don't tease me like that. Bruce could play dr. Druid as a Justin hammer to doctor stranger given that druid is played as a second rate strange in the cómics

Being only slightly familiar with the Evil Dead movies (I've never actually seen any, in fact), it feels like a joke like this might be lost on a large part of the audience... so, I'm not sure I buy it at this point.

Oh MAN, if only... though he might show up in MOM, didn't he make some vague tweet about working with a "certain director" wherever they were said to be filming?
