We're still waiting on the first trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder (perhaps it will drop on Thors'day?), but Marvel Studios has just released six new character posters for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. As you can see, these highlight the sequel's leads, though there are no signs of any Variants...well, we're assuming none of them are from alternate realities, anyway!
Featured here are Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), Wong (Benedict Wong), Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor), and Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams). They're cool posters, but don't really reveal much more about what we can expect!
Marvel Studios has kept this Doctor Strange sequel shrouded in secrecy from the start, so that's no great surprise. It certainly wouldn't hurt to drop another huge reveal before May 6, but Kevin Feige and company might be hoping that the Professor X tease is enough to generate intrigue among fans.
In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the Marvel Cinematic Universe unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. We'll journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.
The movie's cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. The film is directed by Sam Raimi, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Loki Head Writer Michael Waldron.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to be released on May 6.
