I agree with itbegins2005, a little detail on why you chose characters would be better.

@supersayianfan1....c'mon now, what other black actor would you choose for captain freakin america? :-) ask around (do a poll) who you would pick for cap as a balck actor and big wil is gonna be the choice for most.

the switch with terrence howard and RDJ on ironman and war machine....nice touch, michael williams as red skull...on the money. i would maybe say sam jackson as odin though. "you dam right i cast you out..and id do it again" could be the phrase of the year :-)
always a fun twist to these, keep up the fun guys.

1st, i hope u read in ur earlier fancast how i felt that ur statement of my being jealous was very ignorant.

2nd, i was hoping, after that bogus (and assanine)statement, that this cast was going to be ur worst.

it is probably ur best though, i thought it was really funny how u switched the "Iron Men" and Norse Gods

Loki, Volstagg, Odin and Ross are my favs.

Please dont acuse me of childish jealousy, i enjoy ur work but no cast, not the best of them, deserve front page as it is not news nor informative

Pretty cool! I don't really like Tyrese that much, but I think he'd be a better fit for black Hawkeye than Chestnut. He plays characters with more attitude. Chestnut seems better suited to someone more serious.

Bow Wow for black Human Torch and David Boreanaz for white Blade :)

An alternate cast for Ross would be Al Mathews.

@ itbegins2005
That's why I said Id go into a discussion if necessary
Im not going to type for hours just to get 10 comments... and still not get paid like the other users...
IMO, I thought James Avery would be better for Odin, but my brother(dmb1511) & I got into a deep discussion over the choice: Avery= menacing voice.... Lindo=Idris in 30 years
but b/c youve taken the time to comment, I am really reconsidering just going wit it man... on the next article: i'll type my judgments
-even if CBM never had fancast on homepage, why does Pollmaster have his fight club? I dont get the difference...
Thanks

@ supersayianfan1
Man I really appreciate you
you kept your support for us, even when the whole geek community turned us out
Thanks

Now, Morris had to be matched with movie version of the character b/c Im not that familiar with Hawkeye as i am Thor or Cap
-Someone would be like a james bond type... not to mention I remember Morris before he had his new TV show

-why is that no-one gets angry when there's an American turned British (vice-versa) fancast? Are you angry that we have Brits portraying American(from the look of avatar) fictional characters?
So what's the difference here on my fansite?

@SuperDude001

lets just continue working
Much love

@ BIGBMH
Great work on your poster!
just keep doing what you do
-Tyrese? Why hadnt I thought of that?!? And I like Ty

Bow Wow for black Human Torch and David Boreanaz for white Blade :)
Thats funny
my brother and I actually have a Miscellaneous Marvel fancast where its F4,DD, Punisher, which will be posted after our Spider-Man
Love the suggestion but we already used Bow Wow as Pyro in our Xmen fancast

come on..it's fan fiction.
@captaiamerifrog & @RoyalTenebaum go for it..take the time to make fancast of the jla with a cast of all brown haired actors or all openly homosexual actors. who does this really hurt? its all in fun (as a black guy, it's nice to see the heroes you grew up with resemble you in away, it makes the whole escapism of comics a bit easier). this actually reminds me of something i saw on youtube from an interview with dwayne mcduffie.

Its amazing how you guys discredit our work as "pointless" when comicbookmovies are pointless... they'll just be rebooted everytime

and @ logicoflame

I would love to see your fancast and how much time you would put into it-
I know you dont like my work so stop coming by here... its like buying tickets to Michael Bay films when you know you hate them-
waste of time
-LOL at that-

ellispart3
ellispart3 - 7/8/2011, 4:33 PM
@CaptainAmerifrog it's the misinterpretation of an idea. Just as the fans who saw the 'all black' jla that they thought mcduffie was putting out, it was met with fear and anger, regardless if that was the case or not (it was a cover with black people on it and white fans thought the entire team went to hell in a hand basket without even reading the book). Here we have the same issue, this is a FANCAST...nothing official about it. It's fun, just like comics and comic book movies should be. Long story short, it's not hurting anyone by doing this, it actually feels good to see more black superheroes, even if it isnt official.
ellispart3
ellispart3 - 7/8/2011, 5:11 PM
@bigshow2312 not a problem
ellispart3
ellispart3 - 7/8/2011, 7:42 PM
@CaptainAmerifrog are you sure you're not confusing GOOD with AVERAGE? The average fancast looks for the best guy for the job, because it is fun. It doesn't mean that it's automatically a good fancast. just like looking for which black actors could fill the shoes of our favorite comic book characters..its fun.
And i dont know if there is anyway to explain 'it feels good to see more black superheroes' to you? with comic book shelves being covered with white, purple, horned, faces, it feels good to see black superheroes..simple as that. good for you that you like the aliens, i like peter parker. that doesn't have anything to do with the fact that a fancast with certain stipulations, like an all black cast, all asian cast, all actors from the 80s 70s or 60s, all blind actors, whatever, doesnt hurt anyone.
maybe you're not fearful or angry, but it did touch a nerve for some reason in you and instead of judging the the actors for their talents or ablities to tackle the roles they are fancasted (not sure that's a word) for, your biggest issue is them being all black..wonder why that is?
ellispart3
ellispart3 - 7/8/2011, 8:12 PM
I can see this will kinda go in circles. go ahead and make an all white fancast of 'the roots' or 'a rasin in the sun'..whatever floats your boat. Will i be there screaming 'this is racist'...nope, hollywood does this already. all white casts are the norm..toss in one of us to bring in black viewers but that character is seen as just the token..throw in more than 3 or 4 then it's a black movie or show(mcduffie wasn't lying about that) and that's how it's judged at first glance. so they decided to turn the avengers into a black show..did they decide to have captain america roll through france witha bucket of chicken and loud music screamin' "white folks shooooo is crazy"? no. its still cap..if it helps, he isnt black, stevey just got a tan.
ellispart3
ellispart3 - 7/8/2011, 8:49 PM
I'm not trying to turn anything..i'm just replying to what I'm seeing. Beyond anything and everything opnions don't hurt anyone..actually sparks good conversation.
This is the big issue, is it wrong to put stipulations on a fan cast for fictional characters. I dont' think it is. like i said, if you make an all white blade fancast, will it offend someone, will someone laugh, is it awful...to someone the answer will probably be yes. but it's not unnecessary, it's your expresion of what is interested in seeing or an idea made visable.
The so called 'need' to see a figure that physically resembles you in some way is actually fueled by external forces. is it nice to see a black superhero instead of a ignorant rapper promoting self-destruction, yes. It doesnt mean that black people are unable to relate to anything that is not black. again, my favorite hero is spider-man..i get him, i can relate to him. hate playing the 'poor black people don't have role models' card, but there really aren't enough. even with half a black guy in office, the biggest role models are immature ball players and retarded hip hop artists. your opinion is yours and thats cool. but when it gets down to it, its all in fun..in your words 'silly' but it is what it is. if you don't dig them, there is a very easy solution to that. don't look at them. I don't go google aryan brotherhood websites..i know i'm gonna be offended, but they have the right to say what they feel..i guess it would be the same here.
bigshow2312
bigshow2312 - 7/9/2011, 12:36 AM

@ CaptainAmerifrog

When I read your comments, it seem like you dont like black people in general... which is your problem and you would have to see God for
-I was inspired to do these articles b/c of the backlash white male fans gave about Donald Glover and Idris Elba's roles in Marvel films
-its fiction... its not right for 1 group of people to control everthing

"It is not looking for the best possible actors for the roles, it is looking for BLACK actors who could play the roles best. That, right there, is racism."
- Im sure thats what Hollywood does on a daily basis but I am no racist, just ask your mother
-this is racism:

You see, this article doesnt teach hatred, its self promotion and love for ones self and how to be proud! Look at all the black users on this site that have commented on this article... none have opposed!

-you already look like the bad guy

"If these fancasts want to continue being BAD, then I will continue to voice my opinion on them."
Sure go ahead... i mean... you did say it... "fancasts"... but just dont pull that 'well if blade was white then you people would be mad'
... its not coherent
1. i have posted pics for you to enjoy
2. would you steel from the poor? Would you take from indigent? You know, the people on this planet that are shitted on daily... Probably not, so why take the little bit of characters that we have already?
You have a good night/day and enjoy this video

ellispart3
ellispart3 - 7/9/2011, 12:56 PM
@Cap well then simplify it..don't click on things that read 'all black cast of' blah blah blah if it irritates you to see stipulations fancasts. that googling the aryan websites wasn't a snarky remark, but its true. i'm sure you have enough judgment to stray away from things that irritate you. but to each his own.
heres another tip..saying 'i like black people' doesn't always fly with black people. i'm going off the whole irritation at an all black casting of fictional characters. which is cool i guess..you like black people just as long as don't express an idea that makes people uncomfortable..do you. it's not always 'spinning' someone says 'racism'. sometimes a spade is a spade (gotta love old racial slurs). and good luck with the all white casting of blade, i say put up clive owen for the day walker.. he can pull off the cool lone wolf character type pretty damn well.
long story short, we both have different backgrounds and ideas and we aren't going to back down, so the only thing left to say is see you at the next all black casting of [insert favorite superheroes here].
ellispart3
ellispart3 - 7/9/2011, 5:56 PM
@cap maybe its just me,but using ones imagination to visually thier favorite characters as black people is slightly different from government back laws put in place to keep an entire race down..just a bit differnet. Didn't confuse irritation, because that's what it feels like. your first words were about will smith against uncle phil while, i'm guessing, rolling your eyes. seems like more irritation than simply disagreeing with the concept, then maybe i just read it wrong.

donald glover's petition was mentioned as an inspiration for the fancasts, and the first thing you bring up is i was all for donny getting the part..which is not relevant. you liking donald glover doesnt shine new light on your stance on disagreeing with racial-stipulated fancasts.

id be right there with you if they guys cast yaphet koto as captain america because it doesn't fit. no better actor is losing out to these black actors, they are the other side of the same coin. everyone up there can do the job and do it well, but because they said out loud what hollywood does silently, it's an issue?
ellispart3
ellispart3 - 7/9/2011, 7:06 PM
@cap lol well i agree with you..id love to live in a world like that. we disagree about the fancast situation, but oddly enough i enjoyed this back forth. either or, we'll probably talk again on some thread, we might even agree next time. at the end of the day this fancast does promote discussion about a topic that is very sensitive to some people, and i always felt the only way to ease that tension is to simply talk about it.
