Enter The Night Fan Cast

[Spoilers] A fan cast for the spin-off/sequel of the Dark Knight trilogy, featuring Nightwing!

By now everyone has seen the amazing Dark Knight Rises. Although I don't really think a spin-off/sequel is necessary, I had too many good ideas to pass up. So although I don't even approve of the idea, if this were to happen, I believe this premise and cast would be perfect for the next installment of the Dark Knight.

Enter The Night-

After the events of the Dark Knight Rises, Gotham City is rebuilding. Former cop “Robin” John Blake (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is now a private detective, also trying to unfold what Bruce Wayne has left for him. After learning Wayne’s gadgets and cave, Blake takes the name “Nightwing” as he looks to resume what Batman had left. As his job as protecting the streets of gotham seems easy at first, Nightwing faces a new threat in crime boss Waylon Jones (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), who otherwise is known as “Killer Croc.” Born with a skin disease that makes his skin hardened and scaly, bullets and blades deflect of his body with ease making Jones a impossible villain for the new hero of Gotham. Only one man can teach Blake the true skills to overcome such a strong villain, Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale). Presumed dead, Wayne and his girlfriend Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway) come back to Gotham secretly to teach Blake what it takes to become Gotham’s new hero. Along the journey, Blake falls for the daughter of Commissioner Gordon, Barbara Gordon (Rachel Nichols), and must deal with a psychopath villain in Edward Nash (David Tennant), whose intent is to only wreck havoc on the people of Gotham. A new hero in Nightwing is needed to save Gotham, and with the people of Gotham facing a new threat, time will tell if Blake can save Gotham.

Cast-

Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Nightwing/John Blake

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Waylon Jones/Killer Croc

As in the description, Waylon Jones is born with a skin disease that makes his skin hardened and scaly, bullets and blades deflect of his body. A mob leader, he is a extreme challenge for Night wing.

Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon

Rachel Nichols as Barbara Gordon

NO Batgirl! Plays very hard to get with Blake, but in the end they fall in love

David Tennant as Edward Nigma/The Riddler

This is a very hard role to get right, but with the look and good acting skill, I believe Tennant can pull it off. Riddler will come in later and play with Nightwing, eventually capturing Comissioner Gordon, making Nightwing go rescue him and helping Barbara.

Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman

Comes back in a fight scene to help out Nightwing. Trains him, and before he goes to battle, Batman and Catwoman tell him he must fight his own battle.

Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman

Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox

As told from Bruce Wayne, he makes suit and helps create weapons for Nightwing.

Again, not a big fan of the idea, but I believe this would be perfect if this were to happen. And it is also realistic. Check out my fan site for more editorials and fan casts, and be sure to give this page the THUMBS UP (Y) if you like it!

not bad. I'm personally not really a fan of Killer Croc and would rather see Black Mask or Mr. Freeze, but your description would fit within the Nolanverse and I could see it working.

@scmittydude

Bro I honestly thought he would become killer Kroc after TDK.
And the third movie would of been based on Brian Azzarello "Joker"!

IT WOULD OF BEEN EPIC!

scmittydude: Glad to see someone having a same opinion as I do. His character in The Dark Knight has enough hideous scars on his skin that can make him the "Croc"...yes, I'd like to see him in the role.

This is good. I do like it. But let's see, Barb is somewhere around 7-10 in TDK, because she is younger than James Gordon Jr. Thus, 8 years plus that, she is around 17-18. Rachel Nichols is 32. Batgirl should be played by an actress around 18 years old or more reasonably, someone who could pass for an 18-19 year old, like Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Ramona Flowers, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World), Tina Majorino (Debbie, Napoleon Dynamite) or *Sigh* judging by the reptitive use of actors and actresses in Nolan's Films, Ellen Page (Super, Inception, Juno).

Also, let Bruce and Selina be. What they need to do, if they were to go this route, is truly make Ra's immortal and go from there.

Good stuff, anyway, but I'd also like to see Juno Temple's "Jen" (whom I suspect is Nolan's answer to Holly Robinson) having a role in such a story. Everyone seems to be forgetting her! I also agree that Barbara should be a bit younger.

And, if it's Nightwing, what about him traveling to Bludhaven, too, perhaps? Just a suggestion; good idea, overall.

Oh yeah, let's take KILLER CROC and turn him into
a non-super villain!

Let's replace ALL the DC COMICS with the NOLANVERSE!

SUPERMAN will be just a really strong guy named CLARK
who wears a red leather jacket! Whoops, I think
SMALLVILLE almost already done that!

WONDER WOMAN will be just an MMA FIGHTER like GINA
CARANO, in tight black leather pants named MISS WONDER!
Oh, and GINA CARANO can play her!

FLASH will be an OLYMPIC long distance runner!

MARTIAN MANHUNTER will be, uh, will be, uhhhhhh........

Pretty cool, I have a different take on a spin off film

I call it Return of The Joker and I've been posting the script and plot on my blog

I've even decided to put up a couple of bucks and hire some amateur artists to make a graphic novel like a movie

I go with the Nightwing/Blake idea as well

Id love ur take on it, maybe we can bounce some ideas off each other

check me out at blogspot.darkknightdiatribes.com

stay cool my friend

Im thinking Joker busts out and Nightwing goes after him but is definitely overmatched

I also have created the idea of flashback sequences where we see that Bruce Wayne visited The Joker in Arkham during his 8 year seclusion

Bruce was obsessed with understanding the Jokers warped mind because he will admit that is no different then his own

the new mayor of Gotham has no faith in going after joker without The Batman so they bring in an expert, Edward Nygma, aka The Riddler

by the end of my flick Riddler is going into Arkham and Batman will be brought back from the dead when Joker stalks and finally tracks down Bruce Wayne and murders Selina

still playing with the plot but i have my first artist submissions if anyone knows any pencillers interested im paying $100 for the first 5 pages
