The present day incarnation of this team is made up of some of it's founding members from the "Golden Age" of superheroes who are dedicated to passing on the heroic legacy of the Justice Society to a new generation of heroes, some of whom are the children of former members of the original incarnation of the Justice Society.

Like most comic series, the Justice Society's status is all ways evolving, so for this initial movie take not all of the characters will be seen right away. Some will be appearing in sequels. Here is what I'm going with as the team roster for the movie.

Ed Harris = Alan Scott/Green Lantern. He's the leader/father of the Justice Society so I went with an actor that can come across as being the tough no nonsense type when needed.

Bruce Greenwood = Jay Garrick/Flash. If Alan Scott is the "father" of the team, Jay Garrick could be considered the wise and kindly "uncle" of the team. Greenwood when potraying good guys always seems to have that likable down to earth quality need for Jay Garrick.

James Brolin = Ted Grant/Wildcat. Grant is the gruff and tough "uncle" of the team. Brolin when he has played bad guy gives off the quite menace vibe, that type of vibe that says "Cross me in any way and your ass is f**ked."

Eric Bana = Carter Hall/Hawkman. Is an explanation needed?

Chiwetel Ejiofor = Michael Holt/Mr. Terrific. a solid versatile actor. A perfect match as this character.

Katee Sackhoff = Kara Zor-L/Karen Starr/Power Girl. Another casting that shouldn't need explanation. Anyone riding the talentless, big boobed, eye candy as Power Girl train enjoy the ride until you run off the tracks. I'll stay on this train, thank you!

Anthony Michael Hall = Sanderson Hawkins/Sandman. Hall impressed me back when he was on the Dead Zone series some years ago so based on that acting turn I'd give him a go as the current version of the Sandman.

Jessica-Biel = Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl. Biel has the right cross between nice girl and tough girl needed for Hawkgirl.

Daniel Craig = Kent V. Nelson/Dr. Fate. Went with a solid actor, who doesn't look like the "sterotypical geeky" magic user, much in the same way as the character of Kent V. Nelson.

Jamie Bamber = Rick Tyler/Hourman. Rick Tyler comes across as an average guy when not playing Hourman. Bamber go in this type of role.

Ali Larter = Jesse Chambers/Liberty Belle/Jesse Quick. Larter a descent actress and has some action/fighting sequence experience under her belt.

Wentworth Miller = Pieter Cross/Dr. Mid-Nite. Miller proved he can play cool and intellectual during his run on the TV series Prison Break, so he should be a good fit as this character.

Brandon Molale = Captain Marvel. He's not as well known as most of the other actors and that's just fine, especially for Captain Marvel, who's one of the many comic characters that have constantly been named for solo movie projects.

Hayley Erin = Courtney Whitmore/Stargirl. Going again for an unknown for this character. She's an up and coming soap opera actress for those who need to know.

Shad "Bow Wow" Moss = Jakeem Thunder. Just the right amount of "street cred" and "good" kid attitude for this character.

And finally the perfect villain to start with to go against the JSA : Gerard Butler = Vandal Savage.

And just for s**ts and giggles, here are some of the casting choices I had in mind for possible sequels as JSA members.

Kellan Lutz = Grant Emerson/Damage.

Joseph Gordon Levitt = Tommy Bronson/Wildcat II.

Gina Torres = Jill Carlyle/Crimson Avenger.

Rachelle Lefevre = Maxine Hunkel/Cyclone.

Alan Ritchson = David Reid/Lance/Magog.

Stephanie Jacobsen = Sonia Sato/Judomaster.

Kyla Pratt = Jennifer Pierce/Lighting.

Liam Hemsworth = Nathan Heyward/Citizen Steel.

And Ving Rhames = Markus Clay/Amazing Man.

A JSA Prequel Casting featuring the original founding members coming soon.

@Leee777 I am that "Other Dude" from that other "Comic Site". I posted these on two other sites besides this one. Do you want the names of the sites as proof? My real name is used on one in fact. Tankgirl has posted several of my posts from one of the other sites right down to some of my comments. It's the reason I started an account here. Some friends of mine saw the postings she did and told me to come check this site out. Amazing that no one else here noticed any of her post, but when the actual person who made the original post actually comes to this site all of a sudden "I took it from someone else" and you don't think it could be the actual person you are thinking of?

And I had actress Jamie Chung originally posted the first two times as Judomaster and did not post Amazing Man, Cyclone, Citizen Steele or Lighting on either of the two other sites. Need more proof? Tankgirl said she thought my Luke Cage posted look familiar and I hinted to her that it did and to think hard why it did. That's because some two years ago I posted it on another site. The version I posted here has been updated. I as I said if you need the name of two other Comic Site I name them. And as I hinted to Tankgirl check my Eye of Horus avatar. I use a different version on the comic site that I use my real name on.

Lol HORUS @ Opps.. Whats the point of using another name, just makes you look like copying dude???

Let ya off, i believe you, its just we tend to get ppl that rip other people off all the time, stories too, its cool dude, your the original poster so all kudos goes to you!!

In fact i saw your work accidentally when i was looking for stuff on google and fell into comicvine months back, matter of fact i was going to use your ALI LARTER one when i finally did do a JSA casting, already had the same SANDMAN (loved the DEADZONE), also cast your POWER GIRL too but as a smallville version, though she could do either, great stuff!

Also i was tempted to maybe use ED HARRIS but i kept to NATHAN FILLION, though thats for a younger ALAN SCOTT!

I really like your BROLIN pick for WILDCAT and your CRIMSON AVENGER II! (I've cast that one but don't know what actress I've used, can't remember lol).

Much respect to ya bro, yeah sorry for that but you gotta admit it looked fishy, if you used the same username, i wouldn't have said a word! : P

As for TANK, well I've never seen all your stuff, like i said just fell in and saw your JSA casting, oh and your IRON FIST casting was there too dude!

See ya changed ya PAUL WALKER pic lol, good stuff! ; D

When i saw NIGHTAVENGER'S FLASH pick, it looked familiar, even said i'd use it and give him credit, but now to think of it i saw it at an old casting of yours, so both of you will get credit for that one! : P

Yeah I got JAMIE CHUNG as DR LIGHT but i was thinking of her for JUDOMASTER!

Luv SAMURAI GIRL, pity it got cancelled! : (

TANKGIRL @ Tut tut!

Again sorry dude, and a high 5 from me, quality casting, and a thumbs up from me too!

Hey you seen my EXCALIBUR casting further down?!?

Looking forward to your next one, you indeed have a talent m'man!

Lee.

P.S. I much prefer LEVITT for WILD CAT II than him for a clone of HEATH LEDGER as the JOKER! Excellent casting man and again, very solid JSA!

An really glad you joined up at CBM.com bud!

@Leee777: It's all good. No harm. No foul. Just to let you and everyone else know I didn't come to this site to cause any trouble or start any beefs or to even "rat out" Tankgirl. I only want to at least catch her attention with my presence on this site to basically say "Hey Yo! I know who you are and have seen what you've done. So chill with what you're doing." Personally I don't care that she or anyone else for that matter may have come across any of my postings on either of the two other sites I have posted on and decided that they wanted to "borrow" a casting choice. I kind of take it as a compliment that someone saw it and thought that it was a good enough call that they would want to claim it. The only thing I have any beef with is if someone does decide to "borrow" a casting choice I made and post it here or somewhere else as "their own" at least do one of these two things :

1. Have the decency and common sense to at the least put in some work and change the pictures of the actors/actresses and characters they are cast as and not use the exact same pictures I put in work to put together. It makes it harder for anyone who may have seen any of the original postings somewhere else to think you swiped it from another person.

2. If you decide to keep the exact same pictures that someone else created at least have some balls and acknowledge that someone else "inspired" your choice even if you may not actually know that person. I personally have give nods to others on one of the other sites if they make a casting call I think is top notch and want to "borrow". It's all about respect. Tankgirl unfortunately did none of these things.

Yes,I do change some of my casting picks from time to time, especially if I think a different actor/actress would be a better choice as a character than the person I originally posted. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who does it. If you are anything like myself when it comes to casting comic characters it's only nature that you constantly are thinking that "Actor/Actress X would be great as Character Y/Z or maybe Character A/B. No wait...even better, how about Actor/Actress E/F as Character Y/Z."

And thanks for the welcome. I may hit you up sometime on personal e-mail since we now have each others e-mail addresses when not interacting on this site.

HORUS @ Cool dude!!!

An great stuff, its cool in a way TANK getting your attention, (well not the perfect way of doing it lol) but still great your posting your stuff here now, more quality castings the better!

Yeah, I've changed a few pics too from time to time (we all do) yeah i think I've got a better Jean Grey than my previous one that i picked an as far as i know, knows ones picked her but it depends how long it takes me to do a casting lol.

Hey yeah dude, hit me up anytime ya like, kudos!

Forgot to say, touch on AMAZING MAN, STEEL and MAGOG, really love them picks, an not to sure who your JUDOMASTER actress is, but by looks alone shes perfect, a good actress right?

Anyway as DDD said.. WELCOME AMIGO! ; D

@ DDD : Thanks also for the welcome.

@ Leee777 : My updated Judomaster, actress Stephanie Jacobsen, has been in a few Sci-Fi and Horror genre movies and TV series. She's a pretty decent actress. The most notable thing, if you had a chance to watch it when it was on, the Fox series The Sarah Connor Chronicles. She played the character of Jesse Flores, the one time lover of Brian Austin Green's character Derek Reese, the brother of Terminator's Kyle Reese. She is a mix of Chinese/Norwegian/English and Portugese descent born in Hong Kong but raised in Australia.
