Fancast: Green Lantern Trilogy (Part 1)

This is the first installment of my Green Lantern Trilogy.

This is my fancast for "Green Lantern". I am making my own unique cast, and it will have nothing to do with the movie Martin Campbell is making (although I want to see it).

My choice of director would have to be Duncan Jones. His films "Moon" and "Source Code" were really impressive.

Heroes:

Chris Pine as Hal Jordan: A test pilot for Ferris Aircrafts who becomes the Green Lantern of Sector 2814, after his predecessor, Abin Sur, dies. He is given a ring that gives him an immense amount of power that lets his thoughts become reality.

Reason for Casting: Pine showed both cockiness and bravery in "Star Trek", which was something I was looking for when casting Hal Jordan.

Mila Kunis as Carol Ferris: The vice-president of Ferris Aircrafts and Hal's love interest.

Reason for Casting: She was awesome in "Black Swan".

Gary Oldman as Thaal Sinestro: The Green Lantern of Sector 1417 and Hal's mentor.

Reason for Casting: Personally, I wished that I had a time machine so that I could go back in time and get David Niven for a the role. But seriously, Gary Oldman was the first person I thought of for the role of Sinestro (this was before he turned evil).

David Tennant as Tomar Re: The Green Lantern of Sector 2813, who teaches Hal in the use of the ring.

Reason for Casting: I have to admit that I "borrowed" this from SuperDude001, but David Tennant seems like an excellent choice for Tomar Re.

Mickey Rourke as Kilowog: The Green Lantern of Sector 674, who serves as a drill sergeant for new recriuts. He is skeptical of Hal Jordan, who is the first human to become a Green Lantern.

Reason for Casting: He seems like an ideal Kilowog to me.

David Bowie (voice) and Doug Jones (motion capture) as Abin Sur: The former Green Lantern of Sector 2814, who is mortally wounded in a battle with the evil dictator Kanjar Ro. He crash lands on Earth, where the ring selects Hal Jordan to become his successor.

Reason for Casting: David Bowie used an Alien persona named Ziggy Stardust in the '70s for his concerts, and he has a heavenly voice. So he would be good as Abin Sur's voice. Doug Jones is the Lon Chaney Jr. of the 21st Century, so he would be good as the physical Abin Sur.

Villains:

Eric Bana as Neal Emerson/Doctor Polaris: A scientist who works on the effects of magnetism on human health. After long exposure to magnetic energy, he obtains the power to control and manipulate magnetic fields. He becomes Doctor Polaris to get revenge on those who mocked him.

Reason for Casting: I thought he played a good villain in "Star Trek".

Michael Ironside (voice) as Kanjar Ro: An evil dictator who invades Sector 2814. After Abin Sur fails to defeat him, He decides to add the Sector to his empire, but is challenged by Hal Jordan.

Reason for Casting: He played a great villain in "Scanners".

Duncan Jones, David Bowie's son, as director, I would love this movie already

Chris Pine he is the ultimate choice for Hal Jordan/Green Lantern, if anything he should have been cast as Hal in the first place, not that I think Ryan Reynolds is a bad choice, but because Chris Pine he would be better suited for the role

Mila Kunis as Carol Ferris, love the casting choice, not that I think Blake Lively is a bad choice because she isn't, I just can't see Blake as Carol, if anything I see Mila Kunis in the role

Gary Oldman as Sinestro, he would be the perfect Sinestro, but to me he is just Jim Gordon, if anything Mark Strong he makes the perfect Sinestro

David Tennant as Tomar Re, equals winning right there, as how Charlie Sheen would say

Mickey Rourke as Kilowog, not a bad choice at all, but I see Michael Clarke Duncan more as Kilowog

David Bowie/Doug Jones as Abin Sur, equals winning again

As for villains Eric Bana as Dr. Polaris, awesome

Michael Ironside as Kanjar Ro, again a perfect choice, if you ask me

Overall great cast, 10/10 on everything, the only thing though would be where is Hector Hammond in your fan cast, how come you didn't cast him as a villain?

@Shadow11

I wanted to have a cast that is different from the movie, so no Hector Hammond.

Cool cast :)

Why pick a big name (like Doug Jones) to merely do motion capture? It makes more sense to either have Bowie do it or a mo-cap performer...

Anyways, like this cast! Much better than the upcoming movie, IMO.

If the actual movie for Green Lantern fails, they can always reboot it by using your cast to make the movie

Wow! Pretty sweet cast man, quite a few good actors on here
Not too sure about Kunis though, she's hot n all but not quite who I imagine 4 Carol
Pine as Hal would've been better still; he's a better actor than Reynolds plus he can actually play believable characters rather than a weird ass man-children that Reynolds loves playing
But the stand outs 4 this cast has 2 b Rourke n Oldman, just brilliant casting there, I actually considered Oldman 4 my Sinestro pick, but Isaacs won me over lol

Overall, sweet stuff overall man! Looking forward 2 the rest of ur Green Lantern trilogy! ;)

@supersaiyanfan1 I feel honored that you think my picks are better than the films.

@SuperDude001 I'm glad that you like Rourke and Oldman.

@LEEE777 Thanks man. Do you have some sort of vendetta against Pine?

@AK47 Thank you! I agree that Pine would make a superior Hal. And thank you about Rourke and Oldman. Jones does need to do more work (he's sounds like a good choice for an Assassin's Creed movie.

In my opinion, it's Michael Clarke Duncan as Kilowag or bust.

I dunno, I'm thinking a Hardy-Kilowog might work out... but, you know, Djimon Honsou is another choice, 'cuz I choose Hardy to much, plus it IS a good choice!
