Runefyst's Pick for Captain America

Runefyst's Pick for Captain America

Here's my two cents on who I think should play the Cap! I'll also weigh in on who I think Ackles should play.

My choice for Steve Rogers is none other than Matt Damon. Some people think he's too old to play the part. Some people would rather see someone like Ackles or Worthington.

I just think Damon's a superb actor, and he's had the experience needed to play the Cap.

He did an excellent job as Private Ryan in one've the best WWII movies I've ever seen.

You know he could handle the fight scenes! The only proof you need would be to watch any of the Bourne movies.

And the guy would probably be able to add creative input as well. He did win an Oscar for writing after all.

And as for looking the part, well I think the way he looks in the new movie, Invictus is just about perfect for the Cap. Maybe just bulk up a little more, and you've got Steve Rogers.

Here are a few pics from the movie:

As for Ackles, I've finally taken the time to watch Supernatural. I'm a few episodes into the first season. (So far, it's great, thanks for the recommendation Josh :) ) From what I've seen, Ackles just seems like he's too good at playing someone who's rough around the edges. And I just don't see Steve Rogers when I look at him!

Do I think he should be in the Avengers???

Yes.

But for me, I picture him either as Hank Pym (I actually think he'd be wonderful for this role!) or Hawkeye (yes LEEE, I said it ;) )

So that's what I think about Captain America.

What do you think?
