It has been about a week since it was revealed that Marvel Studios and Sony had worked out their differences to have Spider-Man join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
And given the awesome reaction of the fans when the news were announced, it was only a matter of time before we got to see videos or fan-art of what the new alliance could look like.

Screen Crush released a small video mash-up by Sleepy Skunk that gives us a glimpse of what it would have looked like had The Amazing Spider-Man met the Avengers before the Battle of New York and how his involvement would've been.

Granted this is a small fan made video using some of the scenes from the latest Spider-Man film that best match up with the first Avengers film, there is no doubt that Spider-Man would have had more screen time and a more focused fight scene.

What do you guys think of this new mash-up video and what would you have liked to see Spider-Man do in the Battle of New York?

Marvel Studios' Avengers: Age of Ultron will premiere on May 1st, 2015, and a new Spider-Man film is slated for release in July 28th, 2017. Before that though, it has been said that he will make his Marvel Studios debut in Captain America: Civil War which is set to premiere on May 6, 2016.

As much as I'm more than sick of this Spider-Man stuff...and as disappointed as I am that Garfield won't be the one to suit up in Civil War...I like that video. Pretty decent splice-up job.

Thumbed buddy. Good work.

I know everyone's all excited about Spidey in the Avengers. I am too.

But I'm even more excited about the fact that Infinity War is likely to have the Big 6, the Twins, Vision, Spidey, Ant-Man, and Black Panther... along with most likely Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, and Wasp, as well as possibly Daredevil, Power Man, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Quake, and Mockingbird... plus some characters that haven't even debuted yet.

If 2012's Avengers was a block party, Infinity War is going to be Mardi Gras.
