(Sorry for no pics this time around. I couldn't really find any that I felt would visually aid the story well enough. But don't worry, I think that the hard work I put into this one should help make up for it. Enjoy!)

RECAP: Alan has officially fought his first true villain, "Ratt", but had to suddenly abandon Jess in order to subdue him. He is now a wanted man by the Chicago police, and he has also suffered a bullet wound to the shoulder from said authority. Now Alan has to explain his sudden disappearence to Jess without revealing his true identity, as well as remove the bullet from himself without letting anyone else know his secret.

PART 5: Alan comes home as quickly as possible, and calls TJ for assistance. Once he arrives, he is completely shocked at the total damage that Alan has done to himself. But, he helps Alan get the bullet out of his shoulder. (With the help of the stolen painkillers, of course.)
Meanwhile, Steven sees the antics of Spider-Man and Ratt, and he realizes that there's only one organization capable of creating a creature as deadly as Ratt, and he heads to Biotech almost immediately...
Meanwhile, Alan and TJ have discovered the bullet wound isn't as severe as they thought. Because he was shot at far range, the bullet wasn't nearly as deep as they thought it was. Now, I'm not saying it was easy, but they eventually remove the bullet from Alan's shoulder. TJ stays over to make sure that Alan makes it through the night.
At Biotech, we discover that Dr. Rattner and his team are also working on a chip that can be injected into each hybrid that will allow them to be manually controlled by Biotech. This will also come into play in helping them capture Spider-Man so that they will be able to create more mutations like him. (NOTE- The reason they need Spider-Man is because their recreation of the formula doesn't work as well as Steven's, where he simply made a human with animal abilities. This is why their new mutations take on more animalistic characteristics, as well as apperances.)
During a meeting between Anderson and his scientists, (Including Rattner) Steven barges in, confronting Anderson about continuing the mutation experimentation. Anderson refuses, stating that they are closer than ever to recreating what happened to Alan. Steven still doesn't understand why Anderson doesn't see that what he is doing is wrong and unethical, and Anderson mentions that they plan to capture Alan to use him in their research. Steven threatens Anderson about laying a single finger on his son, which shows us that Steven has finally found his sense of pride and acceptance of his son. Anderson sics his thugs on Steven. They beat him to a bloody pulp and abandon him in an alley, where he is eventually noticed by a bystander and sent to the ER.
When he is lucid before he falls into unconsciousness, he requests that they call his son to come to the hospital. The paramedics comply, and Alan and TJ receive the call at 1 in the morning. Alan and TJ take a cab, as Alan's shoulder is too torn up for a swing. Once they arrive, Alan finds the room as soon as possible, practically abandoning TJ in the lobby. By now we can tell exactly what's going through Alan's mind: He's going to lose his father too.
Alan quickly finds his father's room, and he's at his side. The doctors inform him that his father is expected to be fine, he's just pretty beat up. Alan and his father embrace, glad that the other is okay. Steven knows that he can't hide his secret any longer, and he tells Alan everything: the truth behind his powers, his mother, Biotech, everything. Alan doesn't know what to say. The whole time he felt he was responsible for his mother's death, but all the while it was the fault of his father, who he thought he could trust, who is also the reason Alan has his mutation in the first place. But then Alan realizes something. What's done is done, and everything happens for a reason. He can't bring his mother back, and nothing will. He simply leaves the room, leaving his father alone.
Meanwhile, at Biotech, Dr. Anderson dispatches his thugs to the hospital to finish the job, after finding out that Steven is there via spies he has at the hospital. (NOTE- Anderson is a man with MANY connections, considering his position at Biotech.) Alan angrily storms downstairs to the lobby, where he confronts TJ, who doesn't understand why he's so upset. Alan explains everything, then tells him he's off to find and kill Anderson and his thugs, then destroy the labs, formulas, and mutations so that nothing like this will ever happen again. TJ stops him, telling him that he can't do all of those things in his condition. Then, they notice the thugs, who look awfully suspicious. They follow them, and once they get close to Steven's room, he knows why they're here. He tells TJ to go, and he puts on his web-shooters in preparation.
This leads to an intense fight sequence, where Alan is suiting up in various sections at a time: first he puts on his mask, fights, removes his jacket and shirt, fights some more, the pants and shoes, and he fights some more. He soon realizes that he's too weak to take on four beefed up thugs in his condition. He tries to use his environment to his advantage by throwing things like chairs or computers, or maybe even smashing a pitcher of water into a thug's skull, but he is eventually overpowered and captured by the thugs after being knocked out by a thug swinging a rack into the back of his head. They quickly rush him to Biotech, where he is locked in a containment cell. Things are not looking good for our hero...

As always, constructive criticism is welcome and encouraged, annnnd  PART 6 will be up shortly! THANKS!

Great. Full of suspense, drama, and action. Can't wait for Part 6. How many more parts will there be?

You have yet again outdone yourself sir, again perfectly crafted and the fight sequence is AWESOME! You're a great writer, how old are you? That fight scene would be so cool in a movie, it would be iconic.

@superherofan21 There will probably be 1 or 2 more parts. It depends on how much I can fit in one article without it looking too packed together and boring. Either that or I could pack the rest into one big article and try to get a couple of pictures in. I don't know yet...

@Spidey31 I hope me telling you my age doesn't bring down your expectations of my writing or how you think of me, but the truth is I'm really only 15.

@Spidey31 Thanks, man. I've always kind of felt the same way, but just not in a snobby way.
