Character biographical info courtesy of, and tweaked lightly for my narrative's purposes, the Fire Emblem wiki.

Also, sincerest apologies for the length.

And now, let's truly begin:

Season One: The Blazing Blade

The season opens with our narrator, a professor of medieval literature, mythology, and historiography--portrayed by Timothy Dalton--inviting us into his study. There, he briefs us on a series of medieval epics said to rival the works of Tolkein and George R.R. Martin, known by their umbrella title Fire Emblem. He mentions it as a series notable for one recurring element: the epynonymous Emblem, despite taking a different form in each saga, remains a crucial part of the narrative to our heroes. Picking one book off of the shelf, he begins recounting the most important event in the history of the (fictional) continent of Elibe.

"Once, dragons and men coexisted. They shared a peace forged in wisdom, a peace that lasted many generations. All that was lost when mankind disrupted this balance in a sudden onslaught. Man fought dragon is a savage war that shook the foundations of their world. This war was called The Scouring. All was thought lost, until eight legendary heroes--each armed with the mightiest weapon, crafted with the sole purpose of killing dragons--arose to free humanity from its plight. Defeated and humbled, dragons vanished from the realm. In time, man rebuilt and spread his dominion across the land and on the islands beyond. In that time, the Eight Heroes went their separate ways, each founding their own great nation or finding their place of peace. The champion Roland, wielder of Durandal the Blazing Sword, founded the union of Lycia, whose provinces make up the Lycian League; the berserker Durban, bearer of the Thundering Axe Armads, settled in the warriors' paradise in the Western Isles; the horsewoman Hanon, she of the Gale Bow Murgleis, founded Sacae, the kingdom of plains, home to nomad tribes such as the Lorca, the Kutolah, and the Djute; St. Elimine, keeper of the Sacred Light Aureola, establishes both the main religion of Elibe and the theocracy of Etruria, famed for its scholars of magic; the knight Barigan, who wielded the Ice Spear Maltet, headed north, founding the kingdom of Illia, home to its mercenary pegasus knights; Archsage Athos, master of the Infernal Element Forblaze, went on to settle in Arcadia, a village where human and dragon lived together in harmony, hidden by treacherous sandstorms of the Nabata Desert; the enigma Brammimond, guardian of the Silencing Darkness Apocalypse, retreated to a space beneath the Shrine of Seals, but not before leaving his lasting mark on the Dread Isle of Valor and its dark magic users; and the hero Hartmut, armed with his twin swords Eckesachs and the Binding Blade, became the first king of Bern, known far and wide for its military might, especially its wyvern riders. A millennium has passed since those dark days ended. Our story begins when a travelling tactician collapses while journeying through Sacae; he is found and nursed back to health by a local swordfighter by the name of Lyn..."

#Cast of Heroes
+Sam Riegel as the voice of Gareth the Tactician
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Sam-Riegel/
"The Tactician is portrayed as a mysterious traveler who is found unconscious on the plains by Lyndis at the beginning of Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. The tactician was introduced to give the player an actual role in the game and was a means to introduce players into the gameplay mechanics of the Fire Emblem series, of which The Blazing Blade (simply titled Fire Emblem for outside territories) was the first of the series to be launched outside Japan. Despite never having a set appearance or any dialogue in the story, some snippets of the tactician's personality are seen in conversations with other characters. They are compassionate, willing to let Lyn journey with them and helping her take back her land, family and inheritance. They can be rather incredulous at times, shown when Serra wonders why the tactician is giving her a strange look at her "generosity" when offering to heal Erk. They are also willing to go to any lengths for their friends, shown when they even join the final battle against Nergal."
Since the Tactician's normally supposed to be the player--namely, us--this would probably be the most radical change in the adaptation.

+The Main Lords
-Jamie Chung as the voice of Lyndis, princess of the Lorca and of Caelin
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1512166/?ref_=nv_sr_1

"Lyn was born in the Sacean Plains. Her parents, Hassar, chieftain of the Lorca tribe, and Madelyn, daughter of Lord Hausen of Caelin, were killed by bandits before the beginning of the game. She was named after her maternal grandmother. She lives alone until she finds a tactician lying on the ground. Upon meeting the Tactician, she decides to follow him or her in the interest of training her sword skills and avenge her tribe, who were all killed by bandits. Lyn decides to stop by a nearby town to resupply. She is confronted there by a horde of mercenaries led by the brigand Zugu, but they are disposed of by Lyn with the aid of Sain and Kent, knights of Caelin. They tell her that she is the granddaughter of Lord Hausen, the Marquess of Caelin, who wants to welcome her into his home (something he had refused to do when his daughter Madelyn eloped with a Sacaean “savage”). From her humble origins in the plains, Lyn has been noted as a deep, caring, and kind-hearted soul. She rarely thinks ill of others and, despite the circumstances, always believes on the best of things. However, due to the slaughtering of the Lorca tribe due to the bloodthirsty Taliver Bandits, she has a great hatred toward all bandits and pirates and refuses to be associated with them unless needed to. In fact, the motivation for her travels was to become stronger and kill each and every Taliver Bandit in the mountains in order to avenge her parents. However, she does show mercy to any brigand or pirate that is not a Taliver Bandit, though does not hesitate to defend her friends from them nevertheless. Her serene nature (and the fact that the Saceans "never lie")  has earned her the friendship and trust of many of her friends, and the affection of others, including fellow lords Eliwood and Hector, her knight Kent, or a fellow nomad, Rath. Though she seems innocent enough, she will kill anyone that attempts to kill or have any of her friends killed, showing her bravery and devotion toward revenge. Her main weapons of choice are the sacred sword Manni Katti; and its twin the Sol Katti, given to her in the final battle with Nergal."

-Luke Mitchell as the voice of Eliwood, prince of Pherae
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1446779/?ref_=nv_sr_1

"Eliwood was born of the noble house of Pherae; his father was Lord Elbert and his mother was Lady Eleanora. His childhood best friend was Hector, the younger brother of Uther, the Marquess Ostia. These two attended school together and, as they grew older, their friendship grew as well. By chance, one day, when Eliwood was scheduled to meet with Hector, he stumbled upon a group of bandits who had captured a young girl named Ninian. After he set about rescuing the girl, he met Lyndis and decided to see if he could help her in her quest to free Caelin from Lord Lundgren. Eliwood convinced Caelin's neighbors to remain neutral in Lyn's dispute. Eliwood, a year later, is on a quest to find his father, who had been kidnapped by the Dark Druid, Nergal. His objectives soon change, however, and Eliwood fights a group of assassins under Nergal's control called the Black Fang. As the story progresses, Eliwood comes to battle with Nergal's morphs (artificial humans, some of who are sentient), Nergal himself, and a renegade Fire Dragon to save the world. To defeat Nergal, he journeys deep within the earth to retrieve Durandal, a legendary sword and the eponymous The Blazing Blade or "Blazing Sword," which was used by Roland, the founder of Lycia. Eliwood's other primary weapon is a rapier."

-Joshua Sasse as the voice of Hector, prince of Ostia
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3173770/?ref_=nv_sr_1

"Hector is a young lord and a good friend of Eliwood. Hector’s parents died of a disease and his older brother, Uther, is the current Marquess of Ostia. He and Eliwood have had a regular sparring match every 2 months since they were 12, with 30 so far. His fighting style is rash and somewhat dangerous as a result of being self-taught in wielding an axe. He is bold by nature, and his straightforward, blunt mannerisms are often a source of consternation among Lycian nobility. Tiring of the inaction on the part of the Lycian nobility against Marquess Laus’s recent suspicious activity, he gathers his axe and sets out on a quest to help Eliwood search for his father Elbert with the assistance of some of his Ostian colleagues, Serra the cleric, Matthew the thief, and Oswin the knight. His personality has a surprising compatibility with Lyn’s and they strike up an unusual friendship ranging from provoking each other to chasing each other on with offhand remarks. This frequently confuses Eliwood, who cannot tell whether they are friends or not. Hector's friendship with Eliwood mostly is a friendly rivalry between the two."

+The Recruits
-Yuri Lowenthal as the voice of Sain, a cavalier from Caelin
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Yuri-Lowenthal/

"Sain is a jovial skirt-chaser of a knight who considers it his "curse" to be attracted to all women. Although he is a bit roguish, he is dependable and good-hearted. He was trained as a knight of Caelin along with his friend Kent by General Eagler, the knight-commander of Caelin. Sain and Kent were sent to Sacae on a mission from the Marquess of Caelin, Lord Hausen, to locate and bring back his granddaughter, Lyndis. While looking for information in Bulgar, the largest city in Sacae, the two knights have a chance meeting with Lyndis and the player. They escort her back to Caelin and help her defeat her granduncle Lundgren, who had been poisoning her grandfather in an attempt to seize the throne of Caelin. In the aftermath of the attempted usurping, Sain is promoted to sub-commander of the knights."

-Nolan North as the voice of Kent, a cavalier from Caelin
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Nolan-North/

"Kent is a stern, uptight knight who always follows the rules. He was trained as a knight of Caelin, along with his friend Sain, by General Eagler, the knight-commander of Caelin. As knights, he and Sain were sent to Sacae to locate the marquess's granddaughter and to escort her safely back to Caelin. While in Bulgar, the largest city in Sacae, they meet the granddaughter, Lyn, and join up with her and her friend, the player. They escort her back to Caelin and help her to defeat her great-uncle Lundgren to reclaim the throne for the marquess, Lord Hausen. In gratitude for his actions, Kent is promoted to the rank of knight-commander of Caelin. One year later, he joins Eliwood's party along with Lyn when Eliwood helps them to reclaim Caelin from Lord Darin's control."
Inspired by both Alfred Hitchcock's cameos in his own films AND the casting of Robotech, a few VA's here will be recurring in the remaining four seasons in certain roles. In North's case, he'll be a cavalier/paladin/great knight in each.

-Stephanie Sheh as the voice of Florina, a pegasus knight from Illia
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Stephanie-Sheh/

"Florina is a Pegasus Knight-in-training from Ilia. She is the younger sister of Fiora and Farina as well as a close friend of Lyn. Her pegasus steed is named Huey. One time when she was in Sacae, she fell off her pegasus and landed in a tree. She was found by Lyn caught in the tree when she was being attacked by a swarm of bees. Lyn helped her down, and the two became fast friends. Florina is very shy around the other characters, especially men and archers; she is reserved even when talking to women. Despite her general disposition, she is a very different person when she is at a festival and "starts coming out of her shell". It is also revealed she used to cry herself to sleep every night. Farina could also make her cry at every practice. She hopes to become like Fiora, whom she really idolizes. Florina eventually realizes that she will never become her own person if she keeps relying on Fiora to protect her. Despite her general fear of most men, she seems to have a small crush on Hector after he saves her from falling. However, she has trouble thanking him for it because of her timidness."

-Joshua Seth as the voice of Wil, an archer from Pherae
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Joshua-Seth/

"Not much is known of Wil when he lived in Pherae with his friends Rebecca and her brother Dan, although one time the two considered being mercenaries, and eventually he and Dan went to fulfill their dream, setting off and leaving a heartbroken Rebecca behind. They traveled for about a month before Dan got homesick and split up with Wil. Left astray in Badon, the archer wandered aimlessly before arriving in a village in the Taliver Mountains, being attacked by the bandits of the region. A cry calls out asking who lives in the village, and Wil answers it, coincidentally meeting Lyn and her troop. Learning of their battle with the bandits, Wil joins up with the group and fights them off, then joins them as he had no where else to go. Wil aids Lyn in her battle against Lundgren, then becomes a soldier of Caelin. A year later, Wil is one of the few survivors of Caelin’s occupying garrison, along with Kent, Sain, and Florina, driven out by Darin’s forces when they laid siege to Caelin. Eliwood and Hector arrive timely, and together they retake Castle Caelin. Wil then travels with the group as they quest to defeat Nergal and his Morphs."

-Kevin Michael Richardson as the voice of Dorcas, a fighter from Bern
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Kevin-Michael-Richardson/

"Dorcas is a reserved and silent man, making him contrast a bit with the more brash and headstrong Bartre. However, he clearly loves his wife, Natalie, and is willing to go to almost any extent to get the money to treat her illness, even resorting to banditry. However, he doesn't want to be a burden to his group, exemplified when Bartre offers to try and get a raise from Eliwood and Dorcas declines. Similarly, he refuses money Farina tries to lend him. The fact that once he can care for Natalie they live calmly together implies that he prefers a peaceful lifestyle. He originally is a mercenary working for a group of bandits Lyndis and her friends are fighting, but after he finds out Lyndis is protecting his wife Natalie from the very same group of bandits he is working for, he decides to join her group. When asked why he was working as a mercenary, he says that he needs money for his injured wife's treatments. A year later, Dorcas, along with his rival and friend, Bartre join Eliwood's group."

-Tara Strong as the voice of Serra, a cleric from Ostia
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Tara-Strong/

"Serra's past is never fully elaborated on, but it is known that she was born in Etruria, and for reasons unknown was raised in a scanty St. Elimine convent near the Etrurian/Ostian frontier, where she studied the teachings of St. Elimine. During her childhood, she was greatly neglected and badly mistreated, a miserable past that would contribute to her personality later on. Due to her misfortunes as a child, Serra is seen as a high-maintenance, egotistical, and somewhat cowardly cleric with a rapid tongue. Eventually, she became a cleric and entered service with Ostia. Journeying to Ostia with her (less-than-enthusiastic) escort, Erk, Serra becomes entangled with Lyn's group on the border between Sacae and Lycia. Much to the displeasure of her escort, Serra joins Lyn on her quest to reunite with her grandfather. After Lundgren is killed and Caelin's monarchy restored, Serra and Erk depart, and both part ways at Ostia. Serra is encountered again in Lycia, as part of Hector's group. Seeing Eliwood and his knights harassed by bandits, Hector orders her and Matthew to stay back while he and Oswin assist Eliwood. Serra, along with Hector's group, assist Eliwood with finding the missing Marquess Pherae, Lord Elbert."

-Wil Wheaton as the voice of Erk, a mage from Etruria
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000696/?ref_=nv_sr_1

"It is unknown whether Erk was an orphan, or was abandoned by his parents at some point. Possibly, he may have left them voluntarily, or they entrusted them to his master directly when he was young. Regardless, it is revealed that Erk was raised by the Mage General Pent and his wife, Lady Louise of Castle Reglay, in Etruria, ever since he was twelve. Erk followed in Pent's footsteps to become a talented mage in his own right, and became so obsessed with his studies that he fell ill and Louise had to nurse him back to health. Eventually, when Erk grew older, he ventured out on his own. He embarked on a training sabbatical as a mercenary, and was employed by House Ostia to escort the Lycian priestess Serra back to the castle, but they got entangled with Lyn and her companions on their quest to thwart Lundgren and liberate Caelin. Erk was opposed to joining them for reasons of delay, but was forced by Serra to comply. When Lyn retook the throne of Caelin, both Erk and Serra left them and reached Ostia, where he fulfilled his mission despite his and Serra's constant bickering along the way. In the following year, per Pent's instructions, he escorts the noblewoman Priscilla of House Caerleon in her pursuit for the truth behind House Cornwell's fall-out and for any signs of her family. However, they become trapped in Laus by Marquess Darin, who upon discovering Priscilla's lineage, and probably finding her attractive as well, imprisons her in one of Laus's villages until she agrees to marry him. Erk travels to another village up north to petition for aid, but is, unfortunately, unable to gain help from the peasantry. He leaves the village and runs into Serra, who is under Hector's employment. Though he is naturally hesitant to rejoin with his former contractor, whom he finds exasperating, he decides to take advantage of the fact that they are fighting against Laus and aids them. Priscilla also joins the group, which allows him to continue his mission to protect Priscilla."
Something tells me that with Serra and Erk's back-and-forth as presented, Wheaton and Strong might be the Tracy and Hepburn of the cast.

-Rino Romano as the voice of Rath, a nomad from Sacae
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Rino-Romano/

"As the son of the Silver Wolf of the Kutolah tribe, Rath was revered as the child with the most potential in the village. His achievements spread quickly through the village, even to Guy, who was never any good with a bow and spent most his time training his sword arm. Rath was banished from his village before the age of four, however, due to a prophecy that said he must leave the village to help "stop the burning". It is presumed that he fulfills this prophecy by joining Hector, Lyn and Eliwood's cause and helping to thwart Nergal's evil. After leaving his village, he wandered the plains of Sacae for several years, always on the verge of starvation. The people of other tribes would laugh and ridicule him. Over time, he learned to no longer feel emotion, and was spared from the agonizing loneliness that he felt during his time wandering."

-Grant George as the voice of Matthew, a thief from Ostia
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Grant-George/

"Matthew's life before his employment with the Lycian House Ostia is unknown. Soon after his employment, though, he began a relationship with fellow spy Leila and had a good working relationship with his lord, Hector. He also has a history with the Myrmidon Guy, having saved him from starvation once. Matthew's demeanor is cheerful and optimistic at best, rarely ever set back by the current situations at hand. He usually tends to give sarcastic and joyful responses to most threats and conversations thrown at him, though he has his slip ups in personality. He doesn't give an effort to hide the annoyance and grief he is caused because of Serra's presence. He also is aggressive and overreacts to Jaffar admitting the murder of Leila, even attempting to kill the assassin and threatening Jaffar with the life of Nino before he eased his grief, knowing that Leila wouldn't enjoy having her death avenged in such a way. Despite his happy outlook on life, he can be serious and solemn on matters, such as Leila's funeral and reporting Lundgren's influence on Caelin to Hector."

-Stuart Allan and Kim Mai Guest as the voices of Nils and Ninian
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Stuart-Allan/
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/kim-mai-guest/

"Nils and his sister Ninian are half-dragon, and were born and raised in Ilia. During the Scouring, their mother Aenir was kidnapped and taken away from her family causing their father, Nergal, to go search for her, but he could not do so with infant children in tow. After waiting for Nergal in some ruins near the Dragon's Gate on Valor, The Dread Isle, they eventually decided to pass through the Dragon's Gate, as they were told to do if Nergal did not return for them in 10 days. Years later, he and Ninian were lured from the world beyond the Dragon's Gate by Nergal, now corrupted by his dark magic, deprived of his memories of them, and ignorant of his original purpose. Drained of quintessence, Nils was forced to take the guise of a blue-haired boy, along with his sister Ninian taking on the form of a blue-haird young woman. Nergal planned on using both to open the Dragon's Gate and bring dragons back into the world, although he and Ninian quickly escaped and were pursued across Elibe as a result. The two of them are rescued at one point from a kidnapping attempt by Lyn and her group, and a year later are central to thwarting Nergal's schemes at the Dragon's Gate. During the journey, Ninian is accidentally returned to her ice dragon form and attempts to find Eliwood, who had just gained Durandal. The sword instinctively reacts in her presence and accidentally kills her, bringing grief to both Nils and Eliwood, with whom she has fallen in love with (and he her). During the final battle against Nergal, Brammimond revives Ninian to help send back the rogue fire dragons that had gotten through the Gate. When it comes time for the Gate to be closed, Ninian reveals her intent to stay with Eliwood, despite the shortened lifespan living in the human world would entail. Nils, understanding her feelings, gives her and Eliwood his blessing."

-Tom Felton as the voice of Lucius, a monk from Etruria
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0271657/?ref_=nv_sr_1

"Lucius was born in Etruria. His father was a famous mercenary for hire, who was killed by a thief in front of Lucius when he was three. His mother eventually died of sickness soon afterwards. As a keepsake, he still has the dagger that his father was stabbed with. Lucius was then taken into an orphanage, where he lived for the rest of his childhood and was often teased for his feminine appearance. He still remembers a teacher from there that was particularly cruel to him. Lucius left the orphanage and began to travel as a monk. He became a retainer to House Cornwell, where he met the Marquess Cornwell's child, Raymond. He served him for more than ten years, before Marquess Cornwell and his wife were assassinated for reasons unknown. The death of Raymond's parents prompted Raymond with feelings of vengeance. Raymond suspected Ostia for the crime, and became a mercenary under the alias 'Raven'. Lucius constantly tried to persuade his lord not to blindly take revenge on Ostia. Lucius is very kind and gentle to the other characters, often expressing the faith of Saint Elimine. He almost never conveys anger towards any of them. This includes aggressive and violent people such as Karel, if he interacts with him in their Support Conversation. Likewise, he tries to help others he deems to be suffering, and sometimes at the expense of his own health; Lucius suffers from a spiritual illness, which afflicts him when he offers relief to people that are emotionally tormented. This makes Raven no exception, who Lucius tries to turn away from blindly taking revenge on Ostia for the destruction of House Cornwell. Lucius' tenderness also seems to extend to those who have also caused him grief. He is quick to forgive Renault for the murder of his father, and empathizes with his regret. However, Lucius can also be very outspoken and stubborn. He refuses to withdraw when Raven tells him to stop following him and leave the battlefield. Similarly, he does not stop to badger his friend about his grudge against Ostia."

-Patrick Fraley as the voice of Wallace, a knight and general from Caelin
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/patrick-fraley/

"Wallace was the commander of the knights of Caelin. He later trained young knights, including Kent and Sain. Eventually, he retired and became a farmer. However, when Lundgren rose to power, he ordered Wallace to capture the "impostor" granddaughter and two "disloyal" knights. Upon finding Lyn, he decides to believe her claim based on the look in her eyes. He then joins her and helps her on her journey to defeat Lundgren. After the battle, he searches on for combat, his battle lust renewed, which is sated after joining up with Lyn, Eliwood and Hector during their campaign against Nergal and the Black Fang. Wallace is competitive and battle loving. He seeks out fighting and holds utmost confidence in his skills. He is proud of both his abilities and country to the extent that he seems arrogant. He was a rival to both Hassar and Vaida, and unwilling to yield to the idea that they might be his superior in battle. Yet, Wallace is also warmhearted and loyal. He believes he knows best for people, keeping their best interests at heart, as shown by his obliteration of the Taliver Bandits to prevent Lyn from being twisted by hatred and desire for revenge. However, he can be quite forceful about seeing that what he believes should happen to help someone does, as shown by his forced training of Wil. He appears to be appreciative of those who help him, as shown by his gratitude towards Renault. He also values honor, chivalry, and duty, always placing his lord over himself when he believes it to be in their best interests. He also trusts his instincts, as shown by his choice to believe Lyn based on her eyes."

-Kirk Thornton as the voice of Marcus, a paladin from Pherae
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Kirk-Thornton/

"Marcus is a senior knight of Pherae who acts as second-in-command to Eliwood and overall commander of the Pherae knights. He also serves as an advisor to Eliwood, and later fulfills the same duty to Eliwood's son Roy."
MAN, there is little history for Marcus. I'm honestly surprised.

-Mikey Kelley as the voice of Lowen, a cavalier from Pherae
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Mikey-Kelley/

"Lowen was born to peasants in a poor village on the outskirts of Pherae. Although the village was far from the castle and had little worth saving, the knights protected the villagers from bandits. Inspired by their valor, Lowen aspired to become a knight himself, and traveled to the castle to begin his training as a squire. His father also became the chef for Eliwood's grandfather, the previous marquess of Pherae, until he threw out his back, and cooked for Eliwood's father Elbert later on. Even though Lowen was a soldier, he followed in his father's footsteps and made sure that Eliwood was fed well up until he was chosen to go with Marcus on a journey to find Eliwood's father. Lowen is a very gentle but insecure person, who constantly berates himself despite possessing a lot of talent in both sword fighting and cooking. Nonetheless, he is incredibly determined as well, and does not let his shortcomings get the better of him, which is most evident when he spars with Marcus. Presumably, he is the army's cook, and is quite obsessed with staying full since he comes from a very poor village, even fainting when he heard Eliwood forgot to eat breakfast. According to the other Pheraeans, Lowen keeps emergency rations in his pack, in case he goes hungry while on the field."

-Mae Whitman as the voice of Rebecca, an archer from Pherae
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Mae-Whitman/

"A daughter of a Pheraean village chieftain, Rebecca is tomboyish, helpful, bright, and enjoys cooking. She joins Eliwood's group to search for her missing brother Dan, who, through support conversations, is hinted to actually be Dart, Captain Fargus' most trusted mate. He left her, along with their childhood friend Wil, on a journey 5 years ago, and has been missing ever since. She later becomes a retainer and nanny in the Pheraean court. In her conversations with Lowen, who rescued her from the bandits ransacking her village, Rebecca commends him for being an exceptional soldier, despite his self-doubts. They also bond over their love of cooking. This is rather different from her attitude towards Wil and Sain, since she acts much sweeter towards Lowen, because he rescued her from the bandits ransacking her village and helped her reach Eliwood."

-John DiMaggio as the voice of Bartre, a fighter from Pherae
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/John-DiMaggio/

"Bartre is very rash and reckless, but good-hearted. He also shows a lack of education; for example, he says "Hard words make my head hurt!" in a conversation with Canas, and showing Raven a family tree so illegible that Raven could not even read it. Bartre often encourages rigorous exercise, and will encourage people to hit him as hard as they can. During the course of the fight against Nergal, Bartre meets, forms a rivalry, and ends up falling in love with the swordmaster Karla."

-Robin Atkin Downes as the voice of Oswin, a knight from Ostia
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Robin-Atkin-Downes/

"Oswin is a Knight of house Ostia and is sent by Lord Uther, Marquess Ostia, to accompany Hector and to keep an eye on him as he goes out to investigate the disappearance of Elbert, Eliwood's father. Despite his high position in the Ostian military, Oswin is not noble-born, so he worked his way to the top. Oswin is also the one receiving all messages from house Ostia, including the one that announced the death of Uther, which he refrained from delivering to Hector in accord with Uther's dying wish; this was to prevent Hector from wanting to return home. Therefore, Oswin took Uther's dying wish above his duties, but it is shown on many occasions throughout the journey that Oswin's loyalty to house Ostia is unwavering. In a conversation with Priscilla, it is revealed that he used to work as one of the vassals for House Cornwell; therefore he witnessed its decline and fall but was unable to do anything. In speaking with Serra, it's shown that she looks up to him and craves for his praise, being completely devastated when he reprehends her and she mistakenly thinks he hates her."

-Gregg Rainwater as the voice of Guy, a myrmidon from Sacae
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Gregg-Rainwater/

"Guy is a confused swordsman from Sacae's Kutolah tribe who wishes only to be the greatest sword wielder in the world. He will do what he has to do to survive. Three years prior to Eliwood's journey, Guy left Sacae on a journey to become the greatest sword wielder. It is revealed in one of his conversations with Rath that he left due to him not being able to use a bow well nor hunt, but was told by the leader of his tribe that he had a good sword arm. Guy is very jumpy and stutters often. He also looks up to Karel and wishes to become Karel's apprentice so he can become the greatest sword wielder in the world."

-Wayne Knight as the voice of Merlinus, a merchant
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001431/?ref_=nv_sr_1

"Merlinus is a merchant who Eliwood and company rescue from a group of bandits after uncovering the Black Fang at Castle Santaruz. He acts as a transporter and supply master for the army. As a person, Merlinus is rather shy, cowardly and quirky, but also very kind and ultimately loyal, as revealed by his telling support conversations. It is also revealed that Merlinus is quite a good chef during his support conversations with Marcus and Vaida, as both characters say his food is some of the best they have had."
Honestly, this was a character I knew was tailor-made for Wayne Knight, his voice just fits so perfectly for Merlinus.

-Cree Summer as the voice of Hannah, a fortune-teller
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Cree-Summer/

"She is a fortune-teller who joins Eliwood and Hector's army in their advance on Laus to offer augury of the battles ahead. She leaves the group after they proceed to visit Bern, and her task is then taken over by the newly re-recruited Nils, who offers his services for free."
Alternatively, I could have also gone with Tress MacNeille, BJ Ward, or even Betty White to supply the voice for this army's resident oracle.

-Kate Higgins as the voice of Priscilla, a troubadour from Etruria
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Kate-Higgins/

"Priscilla is a troubadour born of the Cornwell house of Ostia, who was adopted by Count Caerleon of Etruria when she was only six years old. In the events following the destruction of House Cornwell by the corruption of Ostia, she was adopted by Count Caerleon of Etruria and lived her life in nobility. She often thought of her older brother, Raymond, who was separated from her in the aftermath of the destruction. Apparently, she was quite oblivious to the details about her origins (likely because of her youth, and it is also possible that the Caerleons hid them from her), but when she heard rumors of the destruction of House Cornwell and the possible survival of her brother, she quickly arranged to set off. Count Pent Reglay of Etruria assigned his pupil, a Mage known as Erk, as her bodyguard. They set off, but were deterred in Laus as the marquess of the land, Lord Darin, learned of her and tried to marry her. After being rejected, Darin, in rage, leaves guards to imprison her in Laus until she agrees to marry him. After a few days of deliberation, Erk leaves the village and travels north to seek aid from other Laus villagers, inadvertently leaving the princess vulnerable to attack from pirates to the east. They are both saved from Erik's cavalry by Eliwood's and Hector's army, which happened to be visiting Laus to confront the marquess about the disappearance of Marquess Pherae, Lord Elbert. Priscilla decides to join their group to keep her protection and to search for her brother. Later, when storming Castle Caelin to rescue Lyn's grandfather, Priscilla encounters a notable Mercenary bearing a great resemblance to herself. With her discovering her long-lost brother, she weeps with joy only to be met with a cold rebuttal from him. His thoughts of not joining the army are quickly evaporated when Raymond learns of one of the Lords in the group, Hector of Ostia. Finding an ample target to exact his revenge on Ostia, Raymond joins, coldly reminding his sister that he is known as Raven now. Priscilla travels with the party for the rest of the journey, helping Raven make amends with his checkered past with Ostia and befriending Raven's retainer Lucius. Priscilla is extremely polite and a bit feminine, as well as selfless, but also naïve and stubborn, much to the chagrin of those who care about her."

-Jason Marsden as the voice of Raven, a mercenary
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Jason-Marsden/

"Previously known as Lord Raymond of Cornwell, a house destroyed by Ostia for corruption, Raven is the brother of Priscilla. He is recruited by Priscilla once she finds him serving as a prisoner turned mercenary on the enemy's side. Knowing that she is a member of Eliwood's army, Raven joins in hopes of getting closer to Hector (brother of Marquess Ostia) for revenge. He later gives up on his plans for vengeance. He is accompanied by Lucius, his vassal and only friend. Due to his past with Ostia, Raven comes off as distant and anti-social, coldly reminding Priscilla that he is now Raven, not Lord Raymond. Raven seems to despise everyone at first, but eventually warms up to them."

-Benjamin Diskin as the voice of Canas, a Shaman from Illia
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Benjamin-Diskin/

"Canas is a passionate scholar who has a tendency to read on the battlefield and unintentionally neglect the people he cares for. knowledge of the ancient magics has been passed down in his family for generations. He has three brothers, but all of them were taken by the forces of darkness. The elder magic Canas uses, like his brothers before him, is based on the forces of darkness and to use this magic, one must invite the dark forces within him. It is tempting to submit to the darkness, which is why Canas' brothers merely subsist. Canas is afraid of suffering the same fate of his brothers, but as he puts it: "However, I must see the other side. My curiosity pushes me ever deeper. It will be my undoing." Canas joins Eliwood, Lyn and Hector's forces when they undertake a challenge from Fargus' pirates in the port of Badon."

-Josh Keaton as the voice of Dart, a pirate of Fargus' crew
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Josh-Keaton/

"Dart is foulmouthed, but kind and extremely loyal to those he puts his trust in. Although never fully revealed to be true, Dart was most likely born as Rebecca's brother Dan. Years ago, he and Wil left the village on a journey. The two were separated in Badon and Wil never found him. Dan wound up washed up on the shore, but none of the villagers would go near him as it was a religious holiday in which it was taboo to touch blood. Finally, Captain Fargus and his crew picked him up. He became an amnesiac, and was given the name Dart, and soon became Fargus's most trusted mate. Fargus allows Dart to accompany Eliwood and friends, acting as a liaison to the crew of the Davros. During the journey, Rebecca and Wil realize Dart must be Dan, and do what they can to help restore his memory."

-Tara Platt as the voice of Fiora, a pegasus knight from Illia
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Tara-Platt/

"Fiora is the honorable commander of the 5th Wing of Ilia's Pegasus Knights, and also the older sister of Farina and Florina. Fiora and her subordinates were sent on a mission to investigate the Dread Isle under orders from their current employer, Lord Pent of Etruria's House Reglay. There, her entire army is slaughtered by the Black Fang, leaving her as the sole survivor. Believing it to be her duty, she embarks on a suicide mission to avenge her fallen comrades. However, when Florina speaks to her, she snaps out of her overwhelming guilt and asks to join Eliwood's army. Fiora is dutiful and responsible to a fault, often compromising her own safety to help others and fulfill her duties. In her recruitment conversation, she states that she hates to admit her inability to complete every task alone. As expected of a knight of Ilia, she is deeply loyal to her homeland. She is also overprotective of her youngest sister, Florina, whom she still views as a little girl. However, she is on rather poor terms with Farina, who left their family after an argument between them that occurred several years prior."

-Daran Norris as the voice of Legault, a thief and former Black Fang operative
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Daran-Norris/

"Legault had been a member of the Black Fang organization since its inception. He is said to be second in ability to none except the Four Fangs, implying he had earned himself quite a reputation while he was still a member. According to him, Legault was able to join the Black Fang because of his nimble agility. He was already known as the Hurricane at the time, and was tasked with "cleaning house", which involved assassinating anyone who betrayed the Black Fang. Legault admits that his job made him unpopular, though it was not until Sonia's arrival when he began to really consider leaving the organization after noticing that the Black Fang was beginning to crumble from the inside. Along with this, his duty as the cleaner was changed from killing only traitors into targeting anyone who was wounded and could no longer fight competently. The last straw came when he was forced to kill Aesha, a fellow assassin who had received a crippling injury that cut her career short. He appears to deeply regret killing her, and his decision to abandon the organization solidified at that point. Legault joins Eliwood, Lyn and Hector's group during their first battle on the Dread Isle. Throughout the rest of the journey, he proves to be a valuable expert on the inner workings of the Black Fang."

-Danielle Nicolet as the voice of Isadora, a paladin from Pherae
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0630379/?ref_=nv_sr_1

"She is a female paladin in service to house Pherae. She is a steward to Lord Eliwood's mother Eleanora and remained in Pherae with her until she was told to go help Eliwood. Isadora is a daughter of a noble family and the only female among the knights of Pherae. She studies to be a lady and was engaged to her fellow knight Harken, but their relationship is not exempt from trouble."

-Liam O'Brien as the voice of Heath, a wyvern rider from Bern
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Liam-OBrien/

"Heath once served Bern as a wyvern rider under the command of Vaida. Among his wingmates were Isaac, Lachius, and Belminade, none of whom ever appear in the story. His unit was sent down to suppress an uprising; what they found, however, was a group of unarmed peasants who fled at their approach; a general had drummed up a false rebellion in order to further his military career. When ordered to kill the peasants, his unit refused and tried to stop other Bern forces from harming them. For this treason, they were branded traitors and to be hanged. The general responsible for the false rebellion also spread a lie that the unit had killed innocents, while the opposite was true. Vaida served as a decoy as the rest of the unit fled to cross the border, but was seriously injured in the resulting battle. However, his former wingmates, save Vaida, are now all dead because of their desertion from Bern. After fleeing Bern, he falls in with Eubans' mercenary group to make a living. When they attack Eliwood, Hector and Lyn's army at a fort on Ostia's border, he voluntarily defects to their side after Eubans orders his troops to kill anyone--women and children included. Heath is honorable with a strong sense of justice and morality. His wyvern's name is Hyperion."

-Jamieson Price as the voice of Hawkeye, a berserker and guardian of the Nabata Desert
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Jamieson-Price/

"Hawkeye is best described as quiet and introverted, speaking little to most of his companions. To Pent and Louise, he speaks his mind more often, but is usually reserved from most of his companions, an exception being Ninian, who resembled his daughter slightly. Hawkeye's history remained relatively unknown, although it is speculated that, ever since his childhood, he was trained to be protector of the Nabata Desert, as he did later to his daughter Igrene even after the death of his wife. During his time as Guardian of the Desert, he met the Archsage Athos, as well as Pent and Louise. Eventually, he would meet Eliwood, Hector, and their group, traversing the desert to find the "Living Legend". He would join them after speaking to either Eliwood and Hector and traveled with them for the rest of their quest."

-Cam Clarke as the voice of Pent, a sage and Count of Reglay from Etruria
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Cam-Clarke/

"Pent is sage living in the Nabata Desert with his wife Louise and his teacher Athos. He is actually Count Reglay of Etruria, and a legendary Mage General of Etruria, as well as Erk's magic teacher. He is an avid scholar similar to the shaman Canas. Throughout the story, he is, in fact, completely absent from his post in Etruria, absorbed in his studies and his role as Athos's student. Even more odd is his choice of wife in the sniper Louise, a woman who is neither of a high noble origin or skilled in courtly pursuits. Pent joins Eliwood and friends after encountering them in the desert whilst he searched for lost tomes and artifacts. The bandits Paul and Jasmine ambush him in an attempt to rob him, therefore Eliwood's mission becomes to protect Pent. After defeating the bandits, Pent and Hawkeye lead the others to Athos, and from there, accompany the army to Bern. During the final battle, Louise reveals to him that she is pregnant with Klein, their first child. Some time later they have a second child, Clarine. After Athos's passing, Pent takes over his teacher's research and resigns as Mage General of Etruria, which sends the local nobility into a frenzy."

-Wendee Lee as the voice of Louise, a sniper and Lady Reglay from Etruria
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Wendee-Lee/

"Louise was actually not born a high noblewoman, rather a girl from low nobility. In order to get Pent to choose her as his wife, she gained his admiration by vowing to protect him with her bow, with which she possessed deadly skill, rather than singing and dancing like the other girls who had been summoned to meet with Pent so he could choose a bride from them. Ironically, she grew up into such a gorgeous and elegant woman that Rebecca, in a conversation between them, begs her to help her become a true lady. Louise then explains how she and Pent met and married, telling her that her "secret" was being strong-willed and focused."
Well well well, a couple of former Robotech castmates working together again--and both veterans of many anime dubs, natch.

-Troy Baker as the voice of Geitz, a warrior from Illia
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Troy-Baker/

"Geitz is a tough-as-nails warrior embarrassed by his past and wishes to make his own destiny. Geitz was born to a merchant in Belger. He and his family helped the people of Ilia when their crops died during the winter. As a child, he ventured into the hull on his father's ships to see children and slaves rowing the boat. Ever since then, he hated his father and broke all ties with his family. He joins Eliwood's group during their fight against Linus, one of the Four Fangs of the Black Fang."

-Ashley Johnson as the voice of Farina, a pegasus knight from Illia
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0424534/?ref_=nv_sr_1

"Farina is a famed member of the 3rd Wing of Ilia's Pegasus Knights, and is the middle sister of Fiora and Florina. When she was a pegasus esquire, her squad almost died in a practice maneuver. However, Fiora left her own mission and arrived to save them, which resulted in her being charged with a massive termination fee. While Farina says that Fiora should have left her to die to preserve her own honor, she is also grateful to her for her actions and wishes to help her pay off the loan. Some time before the story's events, Farina got into an argument with Fiora that caused the two of them to separate. She meets Eliwood's forces during a fight with a Black Fang squadron in an area of lakes and marshes, and offers to be hired by Hector for the large sum of 20,000 gold. Hector reluctantly does so, setting off a tit-for-tat between the two that ultimately results in the two of them getting together. Farina appears to be miserly and crude at times, but she does care deeply for her friends and family. She is very greedy and seems to be obsessed with money. She also has a high opinion of herself, as she believes that she is the finest mercenary that can be bought with money. Although Farina is on poor terms with Fiora due to their past, she gives her a portion of her 20,000 gold payment to pay off the termination fee at one point in the journey."
This was a casting that amused me in that, after years of hearing her voice in various 'toons and seeing her now in a serious drama like Blindspot, it'd be pretty funny hearing Johnson play a crude, money-grubbing mercenary.

-Benjamin Bratt as the voice of Karel, a swordmaster from Sacae
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000973/?ref_=nv_sr_1

"Karel is a Sacaen swordmaster who has had two titles over the course of his career: the battled-crazed Sword Demon, and the sage-like Sword Saint. He lives only to find challengers worthy of his blade and will kill opponents in battle without remorse or hesitation. To obtain the infamous Wo Dao, he murdered his entire family, with the exception of his sister, whom he saw as no threat at the time. His feats — including fighting armies alone and slaying a wizard that could freeze blood in a person's veins and killing a stone giant who was three times the size of a regular man — have earned him infamy across Elibe, as well as the title of "Sword Demon". He is Karla's older brother and also taught Guy swordplay. He joins Eliwood's army when they storm the Black Fang's mountain fortress in Bern."

-Michael Trucco as the voice of Harken, a hero from Pherae
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0873998/?ref_=nv_sr_1

"Harken is a knight in service to house Pherae of Lycia. On a mission accompanying Lord Elbert, he becomes the last survivor of his knights after their infamous trip. After the Black Fang's attack on his group, he decides to take revenge on them by infiltrating their ranks and destroying them from within. Like Karel, he joins Eliwood, Hector and Lyn's army during their assault on the Black Fang's mountain fortress in Bern. His suicidal tendencies are only matched by his self-worth troubles coming from his blurry background and his love for his fiancée, the paladin Isadora, who he promised to marry once the war was over and he returned. Watching Nergal wipe out the Pheraen Knights drove Harken to near-insanity because of his powerlessness, which in turn led him to forget his promise to Isadora, who would greatly resent this when they found each other again. However, Harken's former instructor, the paladin Marcus, helps him greatly to remember his duty to Pherae and ease his doubts about his worth as an ally, and he also becomes a guide and older brother figure for the young Lowen. Harken's talk with Marcus also reveal that he already was a very troubled individual before joining the Pherae army. According to them, Harken served an unnamed lord who treated him very badly, and ultimately threw him out of his household. Due to this, Harken hides an already seriously damaged self-esteem, and greatly fears that he'll be questioned or hated if it's known that he served a cruel lord, which also explains why he lost it so badly upon not being able to aid a master who treated him kindly without caring about his shady past."

-Sophie Oda as the voice of Nino, a mage from Caelin
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Sophie-Oda/

"Nino's family--her father Juge, her mother Iris, and her older brother Kai--were powerful mages, and Nino had the potential to be one herself. They lived peacefully until they were suddenly visited by Sonia, one of Nergal's minions, who held Nino hostage and interrogated her family for their secrets about the dragons. Nino's parents and brother were killed, but Nino was spared by Nergal, who, thinking she could be of some use, had Sonia adopt the orphan mage as her daughter. Sonia resented her "daughter" for as long as she has ever been her mother, and Nino found it impossible to bond with the cold Morph. Instead, she became close friends with her step-siblings Lloyd, the White Wolf, and Linus, the Mad Dog. She also became close with her new stepfather, the founder of the Black Fang, Brendan Reed and good friends with The Hurricane, Legault. In a talk with Canas, it is revealed that Canas' wife is the sister of Iris (Nino's mother), making Canas Nino's uncle-in-law. Nino also formed a bond with the Black Fang assassin Jaffar, which ultimately changes him for the better, causing him to protect her instead of killing her during their assassination attempt on the prince of Bern. Nino finds new friends when she joins Lyn, Eliwood and Hector's forces after they help her confront Sonia, who reveals her true heritage to her. Nino, despite being neglected and hated by her foster mother on several occasions, has retained a sense of loving optimism and deep caring to those in need. She rarely receives compliments and treats them and those who give them with great respect. Despite her anger toward Sonia, she is hesitant to kill her, as she is with her stepbrothers. She is also very sensitive, as seen from one talk with Jaffar, where she quickly overreacts."

-Khary Payton as the voice of Jaffar, an assassin and formerly the Angel of Death of the Four Fangs
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Khary-Payton/

"Jaffar was discovered by Nergal as an orphan, sleeping among a pile of dead bodies. Nergal took in the boy, impressed by his evident skill, and began to train him. At some point later, Jaffar was sent by Nergal to infiltrate the Black Fang, an infamous league of assassins. His natural talents, combined with Nergal's training, allowed him to rise through the group's ranks quickly. He eventually replaced Jerme, The Death Kite, as one of the Four Fangs, the most powerful members of the organization. During the first clash with the Black Fang and Nergal on the Dread Isle, Jaffar assassinates the Ostian spy Leila (who had infiltrated them) and subdues Lord Elbert when he attempts to escape. He begins to change after meeting and being nursed back to health by Nino, which helped him on the path to regaining some sense of emotion. This becomes evident when, during their assignment of assassinating Prince Zephiel of Bern, he begins protecting Nino instead of killing her as ordered. After helping defeat Sonia, Jaffar (along with Nino) joins Eliwood, Lyn and Hector's forces to atone for his sins, though not without strong concerns from Hector and Matthew due to his past crimes."

-Gina Torres as the voice of Vaida, a wyvern lord from Bern
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0868659/?ref_=nv_sr_1

"From what can be told from an ex-comrade, Heath, she is a former commander of Bern, indicating her high rank as a Wyvern Lord. She was known as the "Dragon Fang General" and said to be stronger than the Wyvern Generals. Vaida lost her honor and rank of commander after a Bern general concocted a fake rebellion to enhance his military prestige. Vaida and Heath's unit (which, in a support conversation with Heath, she calls "Vaida's Raiders") was ordered to kill the so-called rebels, who were actually unarmed peasants. Instead of carrying out orders, they attempted to stop the slaughter of innocents; for this, the whole unit was condemned to death by hanging for treason. Vaida ordered the rest of her unit to flee to Lycia while she stayed behind as a decoy; it was in the subsequent fight that she received the scar on her face. She wandered aimlessly until she fell in service with the Black Fang. Though she has great disdain from many of the veterans of the Black Fang, Ursula, a valkyrie of the Four Fangs in particular, who secretly aided the party in defeating Vaida by giving them a Hammerne staff, she was an interesting specimen to Sonia and Nergal. When it came time to confront Eliwood, Hector, and their companions, Nergal augmented her Spear with his magic, hoping that the ruthless knight would slay the lords. They were mistaken, however, as Vaida quickly tired of the battle and retreated. For her incompetence, she was demoted by Sonia, but was not dealt the Fang's Judgment for she was not an official Black Fang member. She returns later on during the fight against Lloyd of the Four Fangs and the remaining Black Fang troops, leading a division of Wyvern Riders. Whether she expected to run into Eliwood and the group again was unknown, but she engages them in an instant. Eliwood, however, speaks with the enraged Wyvern Lord telling her about how they saved Zephiel. Vaida, still loyal to Bern, joins the army because of a sense of debt. Her wyvern is named Umbriel."

-Irene Bedard as the voice of Karla, a swordmaster from Sacae
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0065942/?ref_=nv_sr_1

"She is the emotionally distant, naive and cool-natured sister of Karel, known as the Princess of Swords. Although she has mastered the art of swordplay, she generally dislikes fighting and often finds peaceful methods of resolving conflict. She fights in arenas in hopes of finding her brother, who killed their parents, although Karla is not aware of this until finding him; and even after she finds out the truth, she strives to redeem him, or die trying. She joins Eliwood's army while they're stocking up on supplies in Ostia's town square before the final battle on Valor. She meets Bartre in the arena and the two find themselves evenly matched, leading Bartre to invite her into the group, where she reunites with Karel. She and Bartre eventually go from being rivals to lovers."

-Phil Morris as the voice of Renault, a mysterious bishop
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0606862/?ref_=nv_sr_1

"Renault fleetingly encounters Eliwood's group at numerous points in the story, his history proving to be mysterious, until he tells all during the final battle on Valor. It is understood that Renault was once a soldier of the Caelin army, even knowing Wallace when the latter was just a recruit, but lost his best friend during a battle. Driven mad from this, he became a blood-thirsty mercenary, killing many that opposed him. A victim in particular was Lucius's father, who was killed in front of a young Lucius and his mother. (Lucius later forgives Renault for killing his father.) Eventually he associated himself with the Dark Druid, Nergal. Later learning of Nergal's intentions of raising morphs, Renault aided him faithfully in the hope that his deceased friend could be reborn with his magic of morph development. Doing so made him "less than human". Based on this, it is possible that part of Renault's essence was used in the creation of the morphs, or it could be a non-literal statement meaning that he discarded the empathy and decency that makes people human. Also, it is quite possible that Renault's (morph) friend was Kishuna, the morph with emotions. Nergal reincarnated his friend, but Renault saw the error of Nergal's ways and the atrocities committed as a result, and abandoned him. Wishing to atone for his sins, he joined the St. Elimine clergy, becoming one of its most powerful, yet mysterious Bishops. Eventually, he sought sanctum on the Dread Isle, wishing to atone for his sins from his past, though the most reasonable explanation is that he wished to eventually exact revenge on Nergal. When found by Lyn, Eliwood, Hector, and their companions, he found them suitable soldiers to oppose Nergal and his morphs, and joined them."

-Patrick Stewart as the voice of Athos the Archsage
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001772/?ref_=nv_sr_1

"Athos is one of the Eight Legends from The Scouring framed by future generations as the Archsage. He is incredibly old and is a master of all forms of magic. As one of the Eight Legends, Athos helped to drive the dragons out of Elibe during the Scouring. After this war had passed and Elibe was divided into its different territories, Athos secluded to the Nabata desert. About 500 years before the story of Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade took place, Athos met Nergal wandering the Nabata Desert. Their shared desire to seek truth and knowledge in the world brought them together, and they became fast friends, as well as equals in knowledge and magic. One day, as Athos charted the desert, he discovered a sanctuary where surviving dragons of the Scouring, most of whom were Divine Dragon refugees, and men lived in peace with each other. Athos and Nergal used their magic to create a paradise for the inhabitants to the sanctuary and the two men settled there. The sanctuary then came to be known as Arcadia. Over the many years that Athos and Nergal stayed in Arcadia researching in the dragons' libraries, their paths to knowledge began to differ. Athos wished to use the knowledge he'd acquired to expand his dragon-human paradise across Elibe, while Nergal learned how to steal another being's life force, or quintessence, and turn it into power. Starting with small animals, Nergal eventually began killing humans to gain more quintessence. Athos and the village elders tried to persuade him to stop, but by now the power he'd gained from the essence had bewitched him. To prevent Nergal from stealing the quintessence of dragons, Athos and the elders faced off against him, then tried to drive him into the desert, where he would meet his end. During this confrontation, Athos inflicted a heavy wound to Nergal's face, deforming his right eye and leaving a scar across his forehead. However, Nergal had escaped with his life and fled to Bern, gaining power slowly to avoid detection. At some point before the events of Eliwood's journey, Athos met Hawkeye, who became his vassal; Pent, who became his student; and Pent's wife Louise, who kept him entertained during her visits. Hector's brother Uther managed to find out that he was still alive, leading him to Athos the Living Legend. When Eliwood and friends arrive at his temple, he tells them about the Shrine of Seals, gives them Afa's Drops, and sends them back to Pherae where Eliwood meets his mother. He later meets them again at the Shrine of Seals and convinces Bramimond to release the seal on the divine weapons. Nergal appears, and takes Ninian, with Athos admitting that his power was not enough to stop Nergal. In the final battle with Nergal, Athos joins Eliwood's group, providing them with powerful weapons such as the Sol Katti, Durandal, and Armads, which are for Lyn, Eliwood, and Hector, respectively. He also comes with his personal Anima tome the legendary Forblaze and Saint Elimine's legendary Light tome Aureola. After Nergal's defeat, Athos foresees the events of Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade, mainly a child of fire, and then dies from exhausting his powers."

-Michael Bell as the voice of Lord Hausen of Caelin
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Michael-Bell/

"Hausen is Lyndis' grandfather and Marquess of the Lycian province of Caelin. He is targeted by his younger brother Lundgren for death in his scheme of taking the throne of Caelin, and becomes poisoned while having lies of his granddaughter's fate spun before him. He manages to cling to life long enough to meet Lyn, and is inspired by her pleas to continue on living, making up for lost time. A year later, he is targeted again by Laus's marquess and the Black Fang and is nearly killed, but is secretly saved by the Ostian infiltrator Leila."

-Frank Welker as the voice of Lord Helman of Santaruz
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Frank-Welker/

"Lord Helman is the Lycian Marquess of Santaruz. He is assassinated by the morph Ephidel after he turned against Nergal and Darin and their plans to start a war in Lycia by overthrowing Ostia as the ruling territory of the Lycian League. He is an elderly man who had no children of his own, but is old friends with Elbert and Eliwood. He is described as more of a follower than a leader. In his final moments, he tells Eliwood and Hector to go to Laus and confront Darin."

-Jim Ward as the voice of Lord Elbert of Pherae
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Jim-Ward/

"Elbert is the Marquess of Pherae, and father of Eliwood. Having left Pherae to investigate mysterious rumors, Elbert and the knights of Pherae were attacked by Nergal and his subordinates. All of his retinue were slain, and their Quintessence stolen, except for Harken, and Elbert himself was imprisoned in the Dragon's Gate by the Black Fang. While he was kept prisoner on Valor, The Dread Isle, he befriended Ninian and Nils, and manages to keep them from ending their lives to thwart Nergal. During their imprisonment, he tells them of his family Elibe, his home of Pherae, and his son, Eliwood. He helps them escape the grasp of Nergal, but remains a hostage on the island. Despite being previously wounded by Nergal's Angel of Death, Jaffar, he still manages to deal Nergal an almost fatal blow as the Dark Druid attempts to open the Dragon's Gate, but with his Quintessence stolen from him, he passes away in his son's arms."

-Iona Morris as the voice of Lady Eleanora of Pherae
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Iona-Morris/

"She is gentle and beautiful, but also has a rather strong will. She is said to be an excellent dancer, according to one of Eliwood's conversations with Ninian. Eleanora is also the commander of Isadora, and orders her to join Eliwood's group after the first battle on the Dread Isle Valor."

-Callum Blue as the voice of Lord Uther of Ostia
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0089485/?ref_=nv_sr_3

"Uther is the strong-willed older brother of Hector. He became the marquess of Ostia after their parents died from a sudden illness. Afterwards, he overtaxed his body managing the many affairs of Ostia, which was the main territory of the Lycian League, and trying to control Hector and prevent him from doing dangerous and reckless things. He became more like a father to Hector, despite Hector's many protests against Uther's overprotective behavior towards him. However, Uther later began to suffer from an illness similar to the one that had killed their parents. It is noted by Hector that Uther prefers to make quick decisions. After Lord Elbert went missing, Uther sent Leila to infiltrate the Black Fang organization and investigate. He claimed to Hector that he would not make any move to search for Elbert, claiming that he had no reason to since it was not Ostia's affair. Hector snuck out anyway to join Eliwood in looking for Elbert (possibly what Uther had in mind all along), and but Uther soon found out and sent Oswin to watch over Hector. Eliwood and Hector's group later visited Uther, at which point Uther directed them towards the home of Athos, knowing Athos could help them to defeat Nergal. His condition worsened, and Uther knew that if Hector found out about this, he would be stuck in the decision between helping Eliwood or abandoning him to help Uther. Either way, Hector would feel guiltridden afterwards about abandoning one of them. In order to save him from the decision, Uther sent word to Oswin about his condition and swore him and all the castle's soldiers to secrecy concerning his condition. Uther finally died sometime prior to an assault by an army of Morphs on Castle Ostia, and Hector found out the truth soon afterwards. Hector then paid his respects to his brother at Uther's empty throne and succeeded him as Marquess Ostia."

-Michael McConnohie as the voice of King Desmond of Bern
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/michael-mcconnohie/

"Desmond was married to Hellene of Etruria, Prince Zephiel's mother, but this marriage was forced on him for political reasons when he had wanted to marry an unnamed commoner who later became his mistress and Princess Guinivere's mother. Described as a man of average skill and intellect, as well as a tyrant, Desmond viewed Zephiel as emblematic of his hated marriage to Hellene and believed Zephiel was plotting against him despite Zephiel idolizing his father and only wanting to make his father proud at this point. This was heightened by Desmond's jealousy of the gifted and well liked Zephiel. He also despised Zephiel's relationship with his favored daughter Guinivere and actively tried to tear them apart (such attempts seemed to verge on cruel, such as ordering the death of Guinivere's pet fox because it was given to her by Zephiel). This jealously would lead him to declare that Guinivere's husband would be the next king of Bern, but when Zephiel did not mind this, the calls of the common people following would cause Desmond to turn to another method: assassination. To that end, he makes a deal with Nergal's henchwoman Sonia to have the Fire Emblem (Bern's imperial seal) 'stolen' and then have Zephiel killed by one of the Four Fangs."

-Julie Bowen as the voice of Queen Hellene of Bern
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0100866/?ref_=nv_sr_1

"According to Louise, Hellene is a distant relative of hers, and states that she and Desmond were 'ill-matched' for each other, as Hellene's marriage to the king of Bern was arranged for political ends, and is therefore evidently barren of love, the sweet and kind woman she used to be barely there. As a result of this and his love for another woman, the relationship between them is rather turbulent. While the king and his lover reside at the palace with their illegitimate daughter, Guinivere; the queen must live away at the manse with Zephiel whom the king bears no love either. She, in turn, clearly begrudges Guinivere, stating that the girl is destined to be "nothing more than a baseborn shadow". Though she does truly love Zephiel, she allows her obsession and ambition to eclipse her care for him. Prior to Zephiel's coming-of-age ceremony, she jeeringly reminds his father the king that it is her own son, a prince of noble Etrurian blood, who is going to ascend Bern's throne. When the prince's attempted assassination takes place shortly afterwards, she expresses concern only for the Fire Emblem that is needed for the ceremony, rather than the well-being of the boy himself. Eliwood, who initially seeks her help to access the Shrine of Seals in return for retrieving the emblem, is appalled by this and takes his leave of her. Once she realized that her obsession with securing the throne resulted in her failing to care for her own son, she realized the error of her ways and proceeds to help Eliwood for saving her Zephiel's life. She is able to reconcile with her son, and reluctantly accepts Guinivere as well."
Given that Bowen experiences a lot of family drama on Modern Family, having her take on same on a royal scale would be an interesting thing to see.

-Chandler Riggs as the voice of Prince Zephiel of Bern (pictured here with sister Guinivere)
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3385128/?ref_=nv_sr_2

"Zephiel is the heir to the Bern throne, and the son of Queen Hellene. Zephiel is a very gifted child, and it is obvious that he will become a fine ruler of Bern. However, his spiteful and paranoid father, King Desmond, tries to stop him from taking the throne, wanting his favored daughter Guinivere's future husband to rule instead. Despite this, Zephiel and his half-sister, Guinivere, love each other dearly, but Desmond also wants to bring an end to their contact, starting with the order of killing a baby fox that Zephiel captured and gave to Guinivere as a pet. Zephiel is nearly assassinated by Black Fang operatives, but is saved by Eliwood, Lyn, and Hector's group."

-Travis Willingham (with a Germanic accent) as the voice of Murdock
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Travis-Willingham/

"Murdock is the humble military commander of Bern, leader of the Three Dragon Generals, and second only to Zephiel in the Army of Bern, a notable feat considering he came from a peasant family."

+Mercenary Forces
-Lacey Chabert as the voice of Leila
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Lacey-Chabert/

"Not much is known of her history, though it is known that she had served as a spy for Ostia, keeping watch over the events of the Lycian league for the current Marquess of Ostia, Uther. Sometime in the past, she ran into Matthew when he was first employed, and the two became fast friends. Later, their relationship deepened, and they fell in love. Matthew had thoughts of asking if they could both leave this spying business behind, though he procrastinated until it was too late. During her time infiltrating the Black Fang, she prevents Lord Hausen of Caelin from dying. During the first battle with the Black Fang on Valor, Leila's cover is exposed by Ephidel, who has Jaffar kill her. At Ephidel's orders, Jaffar leaves her body in the forest for Eliwood and his companions to find. While for a short moment they see her figure and believe her to be well, they quickly realize that she is dead. Hector and Matthew are particularly saddened and enraged. She is buried on Valor. Matthew also reveals his plans to marry her to a supportive Hector."

-Clancy Brown (using a variant of his Mr. Krabs) as the voice of Captain Fargus
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Clancy-Brown/

"Fargus commands the pirates of his ship the Davros. Fargus's history is very obscure, but what is known is that, a few years ago, he came across an unconscious Dart on the shores of Badon. Due to a religious holiday, the villagers considered it taboo to touch blood. Fargus therefore took in the boy and tended to him. Dan turned out to have amnesia as a result of what washed him up, and, having no where else to go, Fargus dubbed him Dart and the pirate quickly became one of his most trusted mates. Fargus and his pirates resided in Badon for the next few years, inspiring respect and awe rather than fear in the villagers until a few years later, where the Lycian lords Eliwood and Hector arrive in the pub, seeking transport to the enigmatic and dangerous Dread Isle, Valor. Due to a villager's advice, they were seeking the pirate captain for transport to Valor. Fargus agreed for a small fee of 100,000 gold, which Eliwood agreed to finance through use of the arena in town. Fargus, either through generosity or boredom, offered an alternative form of payment; he would give them transport for free if the lords could manage to speak to him at the pier. However, barring their way was a group of Fargus's elite pirates, and compounding their troubles was a contingent of Black Fang cavalry, led by the paladin Damian. With the helpful advice of Anna, a young, red-headed barmaid whose sweetheart Jake is one of the pirates, Eliwood, Hector, and their companions quickly disposed of Damian and spoke with Fargus. Despite suffering minor casualties as a result of the skirmish earlier, Fargus stays true to his word and provides transport to Valor. He continues to be a staunch ally of our heroes during the whole fight against Nergal."

-Jim Cummings (using a variant of his Winnie-the-Pooh) as the voice of Jan
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Jim-Cummings/

"Jan is the younger brother of Brendan Reed, and was one of the founding members of the Black Fang. Nino saw him as an uncle. Not much is known about him, aside from the fact that he can be considered a coward, evidenced by his fleeing from Sonia after she kills Brendan. After her defeat, he meets up with Nino and reveals what Brendan uncovered about her past, and gives her a pendant that belonged to her late mother. He then leaves for parts unknown."

+Survivors of the Eight Heroes and their servants
-** as the voice of Bramimond

"Bramimond the Enigma is a hermit that sleeps beneath the Shrine of Seals in Bern, and was one of the Eight Legends who fought in The Scouring, wielding his tome of Silencing Darkness, Apocalypse. Bramimond is associated with Valor, The Dread Isle, where he perfected dark powers to best dragons by sacrificing his humanity. Alongside the Archsage Athos, Bramimond is one of only two legendary heroes alive during the events of Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade, and is presumably deceased during the events of Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade, as implied during the epilogue just before Athos' death. Though Bramimond was originally male, due to his perfect mastery of dark magic, he no longer has any specific gender or personality, instead mirroring the personality and voice of the person speaking to them."
With the case of Bramimond, basically its voice would be a vocoder'd version of whoever is speaking to him.

-Fred Savage as the voice of Roland
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Fred-Savage/

"Roland is one of the eight legendary heroes of Elibe, who fought against Dragons during the war between dragons and mankind known as the "Scouring", and was framed by future generations as the Champion. He is also the founder of the Lycian League, which is a country made up of a cluster of territories located in the center of the continent of Elibe. Roland was also the first Marquess of Ostia, Lycia's ruling territory. Roland used the blazing sword, Durandal, a divine weapon which is effective against Dragons to fight them during the Scouring. The sword is said to be quite large, even though Roland is a small person in size. Due to his height, Athos, another of the 8 Legendary Heroes, called Roland the 'Little Knight'. During the events of the story, Eliwood, Hector, Lyn and company enter a cave in the Lycian territory of Ostia to recover the Durandal to use to fight Nergal. After defeating the ghastly guardians of the blade, they approached where the blade was kept. When they did a ghostly apparition of Roland appeared. Roland's soul has apparently been kept intact within the cave to watch over Durandal. Roland's ghost speaks with Eliwood and Athos briefly, and in the conversation it is revealed that Roland's spirit would pass on if the blade was removed from the cave. Despite this however Roland's ghost insists they take the blade, saying that he'd be happy knowing he could help his 'children' as Hector and Eliwood were descendants of Roland."

-Richard Moll as the voice of Durban
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Richard-Moll/

"Durban was one of the Eight Legends that defeated the Demon Dragon during The Scouring, and was framed by future generations as the Berserker. He wielded Armads, one of the legendary weapons of Elibe. According to legend, Durban was said to be an absolutely colossal man who laid waste to even the most powerful opponents with his Herculean strength. Durban founded the Western Isles in the aftermath of the Scouring and hid his axe in a secret cave filled with toxic gas. His axe, Armads, is effective against dragons and apparently is charged with thunder. Hector claims this axe and talks to the spirit of Durban, finally putting him to rest."

-Kevin Grevioux as the voices of Georg and Kaim
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Kevin-Grevioux/

"Georg, a berserker, is the ghostly guardian of Durandal, while Kaim is the guardian of Armads. Eliwood and Hector, in their respective trials to claim the weapons, must defeat them."

#Cast of Foes
+Major Villains
-Martin Jarvis as the voice of Nergal
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0419089/?ref_=nv_sr_1

"Nergal was not always evil. Prior to the events of the game, he met Athos in Nabata and they quickly became friends. They were equal in knowledge and power, and together discovered the desert village of Arcadia, a place where dragons and humans coexisted peacefully. Athos and Nergal were both surprised that such a place could exist, and upon invitation from the village leader they stayed there for hundreds of years learning from the dragons' vast libraries. They constructed an oasis for the villagers and hid the city behind a veil of sandstorms. Nergal and Athos eventually drifted apart in their beliefs. Nergal discovered a magic which could take the life force, or quintessence, of other living creatures and turn it into power. He began experimenting with small creatures, and as he grew more confident he used this same technique on ever more complex animals, eventually taking the life of a human. Athos and the village elders discovered Nergal's secret deeds and urged him to stop, but Nergal would not listen. Athos and the Divine Dragons managed to strike him down, and Nergal was banished from Arcadia. He vanished and slowly built up his power again to avoid the eye of Athos. It is eventually revealed that Nergal was in fact the father of Ninian and Nils because of a relationship with a dragon, Aenir, and sent them through Dragon's Gate on Valor to protect them when his wife was kidnapped. Afterward, he turned to dark magic to make himself stronger so he could open the Gate himself and reclaim his children. However, Nergal lost himself in the darkness and forgot why he even wanted to open the gate in the first place, only remembering that he needed power and that the Gate must be opened. Nergal was the one who called Ninian and Nils through Dragon's Gate a few hundred years after he was banished from Arcadia. He did this so that he could use them to call more dragons into this world, and then harness their quintessence so that he may become the most powerful being in the world. He is responsible for the creation of Morphs, golden-eyed beings that travel the world looking for the quintessence of powerful individuals to give him even greater strength so that he may call dragons through the Dragon's Gate, where he keeps hold of Ninian, Nils, and Eliwood's father Lord Elbert at the beginning of the story. He stirs up war in Lycia by using an assassin group called the Black Fang, which he controls through one of his morphs, Sonia."
How's this for 'six degrees of separation'? At one point Jarvis filled in for David Warner in voicing another immortal villain, Ra's Al Ghul, in Batman: The Animated Series. Later on, Warner would voice a suited demon on The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, who in later appearances would be voiced by Jarvis. The demon's name? Nergal!

-Derek Stephen Prince as the voice of Ephidel
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/derek-stephen-prince/

"Ephidel is one of the Morphs--artificially-created humanoids--crafted by Nergal, who sends him to stir up a war in Lycia to generate an enormous amount of quintessence. He kills Lord Helman of Santaruz and orders Jaffar to execute Leila. He meets his untimely demise in the first battle at the Dragon's Gate, where the closing gate vaporizes an escaped fire dragon--and him along with it."

-Laura Bailey as the voice of Limstella
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Laura-Bailey/

"The most powerful of the Morphs Nergal created, and almost the most emotionless. She primarliy gathers the quintessence of the strongest of people, including some of the Black Fang's top members and Lord Darin of Laus. During the final battle on Valor, she is defeated by Eliwood and company, but not before the power that Nergal granted her completely overwhelms her."

-Marina Sirtis as the voice of Sonia
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000642/?ref_=nv_sr_2

"Little is known about Sonia except that she sees the vast majority of humans as inferior, calling them "waste" and "human refuse", and is a morph, though she believes otherwise. She has deluded herself into believing that she is human and was selected, rather than created, by Nergal. Like all morphs, she has dark hair, golden eyes, pale skin, and red lips. Since Sonia fancies herself a human, she holds her fellow morphs in contempt, calling Limstella a "puppet" on numerous occasions. She believes herself to be a "perfect being" and says that Nergal also said she was perfect, which might indicate that she was Nergal's favorite morph before Limstella was created; indeed, after learning that she was wounded in the process of killing Brendan Reed, Nergal sneers "Sonia, you're a failed work. You're no match for Limstella in any way," implying that Sonia may have been a 'previous model' of Limstella and is now obsolete."
A combination of Sirtis' Demona and Queen Bee would make Sonia downright bone-chilling.

Also, YIKES, do Morphs look like vampires or what?

+The Black Fang
-Enn Reitel as the voice of Brendan Reed
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0718572/?ref_=nv_sr_1

"Brendan originally founded the Black Fang in Bern to be a group of respectable mercenaries who would aid people in need and take any pay the people in need could afford after the fact. Eventually his two sons, Lloyd and Linus, joined the Black Fang. Brendan's group of good-doing mercenaries eventually grew to a huge number. In the process, a few unkind characters were recruited purely for their combat prowess. Because of this, when Nergal learned of the Black Fang, he decided to use them for his own means. Nergal sent one of his morphs, Sonia, to seduce Brendan into marrying her. She succeeded in doing this and Nergal little by little gained control of the entire Black Fang through Sonia's influence. Brendan was always good to his sons, Linus and Lloyd, and also his step-daughter, Nino, whom he believed at the time to be Sonia's daughter. However, due to Sonia and Nergal, Brendan's sons were sent to their deaths in battle against Eliwood's forces. Eventually Brendan figured out Sonia's motives when she was talking of her plans with another morph, Limstella, in the Water Temple and he happened to walk in. Sonia then decided that she had no further need for him. Brendan charged at Sonia, but she swiftly killed him, although he did manage to severely wound her. In his dying moments, Brendan Reed asked his sons to forgive their 'foolish father'. In the final battle, Nergal creates a squad of Morphs modeled after fallen warriors, one of which being Brendan.

-Stephen Amell as the voice of Lloyd Reed, the White Wolf of the Four Fangs
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1854386/?ref_=nv_sr_1

"Not much is known of the Swordmaster, though it is likely that when his father, Brendan Reed, formed the Black Fang, he was taught the craft of the sword and eventually became a skilled swordsman. Along with his brother, the Mad Dog Linus, he became one of the legendary Four Fangs. Later, the Valkyrie Ursula and the Assassin Jerme joined them, though Jerme was soon replaced in favor of Nergal's top assassin, Jaffar. Sometime after Nergal gets wounded, he sends his morph, the seductive Sonia, to persuade Brendan to order the Black Fang's Four Fangs to slay Eliwood, Hector, and their companions. Sonia easily convinces the leader to issue his orders, though three of the four fangs, Linus, Ursula, and himself, are suspicious. Despite this, they are forced to comply. Lloyd later discovers his fallen brother Linus, dead moments after his skirmish with Eliwood's forces in a small town in Bern. Not realizing that Limstella had actually killed Linus by draining his quintessence, Lloyd vows revenge, and faces the Lords and their army at the Shrine of Seals. Despite pleas from Nino, Jaffar, and Legault, Lloyd perishes in the fight. In the final battle, among Nergal's squad of Morphs modeled after dead warriors, Lloyd is one of them."

-Robbie Amell as the voice of Linus Reed, the Rabid Hound of the Four Fangs
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2064412/?ref_=nv_sr_1

"Not much is known of his childhood, though what is known is that, when his father, Brendan Reed, formed and became head of the Black Fang, an assassin guild situated in Bern, he and his brother, the White Wolf Lloyd, quickly flew through the ranks and became one of the legendary Four Fangs. Despite being skilled, he is also rash and impulsive, tending to misjudge his opponents before charging into battle. Because of this, he and Lloyd were nearly inseparable as the latter usually watched over the former. He and Lloyd were quickly joined by the Valkyrie, Ursula, who is cold and ruthless, and the Assassin, Jerme, who was obsessed with his craft. Later, when Nergal and Sonia began to take ahold of the Black Fang, Jerme was replaced with Jaffar. Shortly after Nergal is gravely wounded by Lord Elbert of Pherae, he orders Sonia to bring together the Four Fangs to hunt down the Lycian lords, Eliwood, Hector, and Lyndis. She complies, but, after she gives her orders, Linus, Lloyd, and Ursula remain suspicious of the Sage. Nevertheless, they carry out their orders. In a small lakeside town in Bern, against Lloyd's orders, Linus and his troops face off with Eliwood's forces, but is defeated. He learns that they are really good people, and leaves to relay this information to Lloyd, only to be killed by Limstella. Among Nergal's squad of Morphs based on fallen warriors in the final battle is one based on Linus."

-Erica Luttrell as the voice of Ursula, the Blue Crow of the Four Fangs
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Erica-Luttrell/

"Ursula is the only one of the Four Fangs to be a magic user. Ursula is an extremely devoted member of the Black Fang, seen as a cold, heartless assassin to her targets. She never hesitates to coldly remind those under her the punishment for failure, and expresses little concern for any members of the Black Fang, with the exception of Sonia, whom she worships (her last words, in example, are a last request to give Sonia a report about the situation in the Bern Manse). She is also rather honorable, accepting the Fang's Judgment for failing to accomplish her attempt at assassinating Prince Zephiel; Limstella drains her of her quintessence as such. She expresses deep dislike of Vaida, most likely because of her treachery toward Bern, and possible fear of losing her place. Her likeness was among the fallen warriors used for Nergal's squad of Morphs in the final battle."

-Beau Billingslea as the voice of Uhai, the Soaring Hawk of the Black Fang
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Beau-Billingslea/

"One of the original members of the Black Fang, he is from the Djute tribe of Sacae. Unlike many members of the Black Fang, Uhai has a strong sense of honor. This is shown when he pretends to kidnap Lyn and use her as a hostage, but releases her when he could have easily killed her, because he only wants to prove himself as an honorable rival. When Uhai dies, he acknowledges his defeat gracefully, and gives hints to the heroes about where to locate the Dragon's Gate. Both Lyn and Eliwood mourn him and say that they wish that they could have met him under different circumstances. He is one of the fallen warriors used as a model for Nergal's squad of Morphs in the final battle."

-Greg Ellis as the voice of Teodor, the Shadow Raven of the Black Fang
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Greg-Ellis/

"Teodor is a studious young man, dedicated to the study of dark magic. Upon encountering Eliwood's group as they march on the Dragon's Gate for the first time, he tells the group that to gain true power, one has to sacrifice their identity and their sense of self to the darkness like Bramimond did many years before on Valor, The Dread Isle, to obtain the Silencing Darkness, Apocalypse. Given his interest in the dark arts and the fact that he only engages Eliwood's army when they travel far off the beaten path, it is possible that Teodor only joined the Black Fang to study the secrets of Valor undeterred."

-Stephen Root as the voice of Kenneth, the Shrike of the Black Fang
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0740535/?ref_=nv_sr_1

"Kenneth is a heretical priest who denounced his faith in the gods in favor of worshipping Nergal. He and fellow Black Fang member Jerme face Eliwood and company when they're left to guard the Black Fang's mountain fortress, where the stolen Fire Emblem is kept. He is one of the fallen Fangs used to model a Morph in Nergal's squad in the final battle."

-Steven Blum as the voice of Jerme, the Death Kite of the Black Fang
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Steve-Blum/

"Jerme used to be the greatest assassin in all of the Black Fang, being one of the Four Fangs himself, but was replaced by Jaffar when Nergal took control of the organization. As such, Jerme holds a deep-seated hatred for Jaffar and remains bitter over how things turned out. Jerme is a psychopath who joined Nergal due to his love of killing. He does not expressly agree with what Nergal is planning, but could not care less as long as he got to "feed his blade". He and fellow Fang Kenneth are left to left to guard the Black Fang's mountain fortress, where the stolen Fire Emblem is kept, only to fall to Eliwood's army. He is one of the fallen Fangs used to model a Morph in Nergal's squad in the final battle."

+Royal Foes
-Neil Ross as the voice of Lundgren
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Neil-Ross/

"Lundgren is the younger brother of Marquess Caelin, Lord Hausen. He wanted his grandniece Lyndis dead, as she could be able to take the throne from him, because she is the rightful heir. He attempted to kill Lyn by sending Caelin's army after her. He poisoned his brother in order to kill him, and gain the throne, but ultimately failed. He eventually falls before Lyn's blade."

-Jim Cummings (imitating Sidney Greenstreet) as the voice of Lord Darin of Laus
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Jim-Cummings/

"Lord Darin was well known by the people of Laus for his uneasiness to Ostia, always claiming that Laus should be the strongest of the Lycian territories. However, under the influence of Ephidel, a servant of Nergal, and the Black Fang, Darin began preparing his territory for full-scale rebellion against Ostia. Unknown to him or the Laus soldiers, this was actually a well-conceived plot by Nergal to cause a war within Lycia that would generate enough quintessence for Nergal to open the Dragon's Gate. When his plot of rebellion is thwarted, Darin even goes so far as to abandon his own son Erik. He makes a last stand at the Dragon's Gate, where he ultimately falls to Eliwood and Hector. In the final battle, Nergal creates a Morph based on Darin as part of his squad of Morphs based on dead warriors."

-Eric Stuart as the voice of Prince Erik of Laus
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Eric-Stuart/

"The son of Darin and Prince of Laus, was jealous of Eliwood and Hector due to not being able to match them during their school days. After he is defeated, Eliwood and Hector interrogate him. It is from him that Eliwood learns of Darin's dealings with Ephidel and Lord Elbert's connection to the rebellion. Erik is last seen laughing madly and fleeing after finding out about Darin's abandonment of him and telling Eliwood his information. Though it is later implied Erik turned over a new leaf as he inherits the title of Marquess of Laus."

*WHEW* This took a lot out of me. Again, sincerest apologies for the length of this thing.

Next time: Twenty years later, Elibe finds itself in war again, with the fate of the continent in the hands of Eliwood's son Roy. All this, and more revelations about The Scouring, in "Fire Emblem" Season Two: The Binding Blade.

So... many... characters... (*o*)'

I have only played the one Fire Emblem on the 3DS (and liked it a lot), so I have no idea who these people are. But the voices seem to be chosen well, just going by the characters' appearances. I like me some good anime, and good fantasy themed ones all the more. So I'd likely watch this. :)

@Kyos - I focused on the characters who were both playable and important to the narrative. If I'd included all the minor bosses, this would be even longer. Hopefully when I cover Sacred Stones it'll be a bit shorter.

Was the 3DS game you played Fates or Awakening?

@FlixMentallo21 - Urm... Awakening, I believe. One of the main characters was Chrom?!

FlixMentallo21 - 5/7/2017, 11:18 AM
@Kyos - Yep, that's Awakening. Funny thing, the other day I saw someone come up with a voice cast for an Awakening animated movie. Robert Downey Jr. as Chrom, Elijah Wood as Robin (the male Avatar), Jessica Alba as Lucina, Alyson Stoner as Lissa, Jodi Benson as Emmeryn, Jon Hamm as Frederick, Idris Elba as Basilio, and Zoe Saldana as Flavia.

Of my cast, any favorites?

@FlixMentallo21 - RDJ seems like a pretty weird choice for Chrom to me. As for your cast, there's a lot of veteran voice actors you can't really go wrong with, who I have no problem believing you would fit the roles well.

I like the Tom Felton casting a lot, that seems interesting on a few levels.

@Kyos - Yeah, I had an it of a head-scratched when casting Lucius.
