What JComicFan Would Have Done for Spider-Man IV-VI

Hi guys. It's been a while since I've uploaded an article, and this one will be different. Let me start off by saying I've officially changed my name to JComicFan to keep a similar name to my old one, but also to differenciate myself from the editor since there was some confusion.

It's a little late to do this but I mapped out a potential Spider-Man IV, V, and VI that would be sequels to the Sami Raimi films, which are all great and 3 has faced way too much criticism. They act as a trilogy similar to the first three. I just want to see what you guys would have thought if these were movies. This is just for fun.

SPIDER-MAN IV

Summary: It has been a while since the events of Spider-Man 3. Peter is coping with the death of Harry Osborn as well as the death of Aunt May between the events of 3 and 4, but has been repairing his life with Mary Jane and are going to get married. Meanwhile Curt Connors has been receiving funding through OsCorp from its new shady CEO Adrian Toomes for a serum that can regenerate lost limbs. After being pressured to get it done Connors tests the serum prematurely and turns into the Lizard. Spider-Man fights Lizard, and finds out it is Connors because his identification fell off of his coat. Toomes figures out about what happened and decides to hire famed hunter Sergei Kravenoff to take him out to cover up what happened. After a fight with Lizard, Kraven decides to take a shot at him from far away by Spider-Man saves him, engaging in a fight with Kraven. Kraven then decides that Spider-Man would make worthy prey. Meanwhile Lizard begins to regain some of his sanity and experiments on humans, turning them into lizard creatures as well. At the end there is a three way fight between Spider-Man, Lizard, and Kraven in Lizard's sewer lair. Lizard eventually regains his sanity and helps Spider-Man hold back his lizard creatures from getting lose into the city, but is subsequently killed by Kraven. Enraged by losing another one of his friends Spider-Man beats Kraven down to near death in his anger and Kraven reveals that it was Toomes who hired him to kill Connors. Spider-Man leaves, but Kraven stumbles into the pen filled with the lizard creatures and is attacked by them. Spider-Man visits Toomes, but Toomes tells him that there is no proof that he had done anything. Spider-Man tells Toomes that he will be watching him. The police rush into the sewer where they find Kraven crawling barely alive and arrest him. At the very end Peter and Mary get married on a hilltop, a nod to Spider-Man 2.

When planning this the obvious choice for one of the villains was Lizard, and I'm very disappointed we won't get to see that come to fruition. Kraven seemed like a natural enemy to use for him since one is the animal and one is the hunter. Toomes is of course in it to set up the Vulture, but is as you will see believe it or not the main antagonist of this trilogy. And Kraven's survival was important as well. I wanted the villain storylines to be more connected than in 3, where they didn't connect until the end of the movie.

SPIDER-MAN V

Summary: After the events of 4 Spider-Man has been keeping a close eye onto the affairs of Adrian Toomes. Also Mary Jane is pregnant. Peter finally gets solid evidence on Toomes and takes it. Toomes uses an experimental flight suit and weapons to become the Vulture to take Spider-Man out. Spider-Man beats him in their first battle, but he escapes. Meanwhile an OsCorp technician named Maxwell Dillon gets caught in an accident involving electricity. He quickly discovers his powers and decides to use them to help he and his wife's financial problems. He tries to rob a jewelry store, but the owner presses a silent alarm and he faces the police. Spider-Man also arrives and fights Electro, but he manages to beat Spider-Man and escape. Meanwhile Spider-Man sees another person inside of the jewelry store and pursues it, and confronts who it is on a rooftop. It is Black Cat. They have a scuffle until she jumps off of the roof and disappears. Maxwell's wife pregnant wife Norma finds out about what he did and they get into an argument. In his anger she gets electrocuted and put into a coma. Realizing just how dangerous those powers are he goes to the OsCorp building and confronts Toomes, demanding that he take the powers away. Toomes heard about the electrical man who defeated Spider-Man, and decides to strike a deal with him. He says that if he helps him kill Spider-Man that he'll help him take away his powers. Dillon excepts and Toomes gives him a suit that helps control his powers. Eventually Black Cat becomes Spider-Man's ally and in the end helps in the final battle against Vulture and Electro. They are both arrested and Norma visits Maxwell in his special rubber cell after waking from her coma. Maxwell is happy to see her but she breaks off her relations to him saying because of everything he's done, including killing their child, and leaves him despite his pleas. Spider-Man sits on a rooftop and is visited by Black Cat and they talk, ending with her kissing him and jumping away. Mary Jane gives birth to their baby who they name May after Peter's Aunt May.

As I said before I wanted to set up Toomes to become the Vulture which he does in this one. When thinking of another antagonist I honestly got the idea of using Electro when I read a comment from Sam Raimi that he said he'd like to use the two villains, and Electro is a good enough villain to use. Lizard and Kraven are character that go together very easily, it was harder to think of a plot that connected Vulture and Electro. I also wanted to use Black Cat since she is Spider-Man's most prominent ally. I kind of did an approach similar to how they did her in the SPIDER-MAN 2 game where I don't go into detail on Felicia Hardy, since it was already getting hard to keep a cohesive storyline but I think I did her enough justice and planted the seeds of the love triangle.

SPIDER-MAN: THE SINISTER VI

Summary: At the beginning of the movie Spider-Man stops a bank heist being executed by Shocker and his gang, his right-hand man being Rhino. Both are arrested and put into prison where they meet Adrian Toomes and Sergei Kravenoff, who were put into prison in 4 and 5. Together they conspire to escape from Ryker's Island. They are overheard by a security guard named Quentin Beck. A genius special effects man that was arrested for tax fraud and lost his career. Since then he's been doing low end jobs that he can't keep. Some being a ring announcer, usher, and a maitre d' as examples (hint hint). Anyway he offers to not to reveal their plan and provide inside help if they let him join their gang and they accept. Together they fight their way out of the prison, along the way freeing Electro from his rubber cell, and escape the island. After the escape Beck creates his Mysterio costume and gathers illusion technology originally made to help with special effects. Together as the Sinister Six they conspire to destroy Spider-Man and take over New York's criminal underworld, to in essence rule the city. Though there is tension between Vulture and Shocker since Vulture had pretty much makes himself leader and is taking control over his gang. Spider-Man has mutual feelings with Black Cat, but feels he's being disloyal to Mary Jane, who is busy taking care of their baby, and also trying to rebuild her acting career. Things turn for the worst when the Sinister Six discover Spider-Man's secret identity.
With Black Cat Spider-Man fights to defeat the Sinister Six. In the end of the final battle most or all of the Sinister Six members are dead, Vulture going down last after mortally wounding Black Cat and killing Electro who had decided to do the right thing and turn on him when he sees his ex-wife in a crowd. Black Cat dies in Spider-Man's arms saying that she wishes him the best with Mary Jane, and is then dead. In the end Peter returns to Mary Jane and their child. At the end it is possibly revealed that May has powers similar to her father.

I wanted to provide a conclusion but also have something open ended. I decided to introduce three of the Sinister Six members in 4 and 5 so it wasn't just six villains randomly appearing. I also wanted to given an introduction to Shocker and Rhino at the beginning of 6. Bruce Campbell was one of the top picks by the fans to play Mysterio, and I did use that, and as you should have seen exploited the fact that he had cameoed in all of them. I tried keeping as many of the original members as possible, but couldn't use Doctor Octopus since he died and Sandman since he wasn't really evil. Shocker and Rhino seemed like suitable replacements, and Vulture seemed like the best choice to make the leader in Ock's absence. If this were the last one the Sinister Six would be the best way to conclude it, and would make for an epic final battle. A hard decision was the final fate of Black Cat, but decided to have her die heroically and give her blessing to Peter and Mary Jane as a happier way of ending her character. The only plots I'm not sure on are the Peter Mary Jane plots and my hinting at May having powers (ala Spider-Girl), which may not be my strongest area.

So those are the ideas I had, but now they're just going back rather than moving forward. So what do you think of the ideas I had? What were some of your own?

i loved this idea!!!
You should have Sandman return in the 6th movie as an ally to help Spiderman and Black Cat, coz i dont think those two, even with Electro could beat the six alone.

also i would have Mysterio and Vulture's rivalry within the Sinister Six be a bigger issue, perhaps leading to infighting in the final battle.

the only thing i didnt like was that too many people died.

but great job mate!!!
