Earlier today, set photos from the resumption of filming for Iron Man 3, in Dania Beach, Florida, showcased the return of actor Robert Downey Jr., recovering from his ankle injury, and the latest armor of his genius playboy Tony Stark. While also teasing the Iron Patriot armor, which is said to be an upgraded version of (Don Cheadle) James Rhodes' War Machine suit, new photos via Daily Mail has uncovered both of their armors in full glory.







Described as a “technological crisis thriller,” set in the world of international war, arms & terror, Marvel Studios' “Iron Man 3” stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Dale Dickey, Ashley Hamilton, James Badge Dale, with Sir Ben Kingsley and Jon Favreau. Shane Black (“Kiss Kiss Bang Bang”) takes over directorial duties from Jon Favreau, who helmed the first two “Iron Man” films. Principal photography will occur primarily in North Carolina and China. And “Iron Man 3” is set for release in May 3, 2013.

I guarantee there will be a line like, "Looks like Stark hooked Cap up with some armor of his own."

As for the suits, meh.... Still don't care for the new Mark suit.

I love the difference between set photos and final product look. Here these look like plastic knockoffs (Look at some of the bolts), but you know on screen, even the non-CGI'ed versions will look fantastic.

Huh.... The Iron Man suit looks bulkier than he War Machine/Iron Patriot armor.
Not sure how I feel about that but I'm liking the colors they used an it still looks cool.

Norman Osborn is the Iron Patriot. I'm sure in the movie it will be a totally different person. Let's just take out Tony Stark and make Iron Man some guy from England, Bangladesh, or Russia. Not like "fans" would care.

Those are some kick-ass armors right there. Not as great as the ones featured in the last two films and the Avengers, but kick-ass nonetheless. Plus, Louis D'esposito said that we should expect the first trailer by mid-October. That means we've only got a couple more weeks to wait!!!
