Has Howard Stern been cast as Doctor Doom in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
As bizarre as this notion may seem, it does appear to be the conclusion many have jumped to after the controversial radio shock jock had a "hot mic" issue while signing off for the day. Seemingly unaware that his mic was still on, Stern revealed that he was involved in an upcoming Doctor Doom project when asked if he had any work lined up for the summer.
“They’re going over the schedule with me and it’s gonna suck,” Stern said, before adding: "Well, I told you I’m gonna do Dr. Doom, but believe me, I’m f*cking miserable about it. [I] called Robert Downey, Jr. and I was asking him acting techniques.”
Yeah, we're not really sure what to make of this. Though there's always a chance Stern is simply having some fun with his listeners, most seem to believe that this was a genuine mistake, which would obviously confirm that Marvel Studios is developing some sort of Doctor Doom movie or TV series.
Of course, even if this does prove to be the case, it doesn't necessarily mean Stern is playing Victor Von Doom himself, as he only indicates that he's involved with the project in some capacity. Another theory doing the rounds is that Stern was actually referencing the planned Fantastic Four reboot, and has indeed been cast as the iconic villain.
