Still think RACHEL NICHOLS is wasted on this... she should be RED SONJA!

And as for have that Rose chic in this who's actually going to be RED SONJA... um wtf?

Look cool though, I'm changing my mind about it lol!

LEEE777@ Yeah true! Movie looks awesome but Rachel Nichols is wasted in the role of that Tamara chick! But what i have heard and seen in the trailer she is going to kick McGowan´s ass bigtime!;)

I'm excited for this movie, but I'll admit the trailer left something to be desired. It had a very Scorpion King feel to it, whereas I would have preferred a style closer to 300 or maybe even more gritty. However, time and again, movies come out and surpass a not so great trailer. I'm not saying it was bad, and I'll definately still go see the movie, but it has to be more than just a generic action movie set in that period, like so many before it have been.

I don't get the Scorpion King comments that some make. I don't see any similarity in the style or feel for this one, but to each their own. I think this is going to be much grittier/darker than the prior Conan films. R-Rating is going to help a lot.

wenee@ yeah great year!

They have probably cut the all bloody and nude scenes from this trailer so they can show it everywhere! I bet we are going to get a unrated trailer before the movie comes!;)

@TheIntruder,

"Destroyer" was dreadful. "Barbarian" was magnificent, technology what it was notwithstanding.

I've never gotten the gist of the criticism raised against the first film. JEJ's portrayal is amongst the very best of villains in cinematic history (The Riddle of Steel!? Amazing.). The film's pacing was nigh pitch perfect, and the script...

Τhe movie looks great, and Momoa is really a perfect cast for the role. He bulked up and at the same time looks more agile than Arnie ever did in his Conan movies. Only one gripe: The music. I really miss the classic polydouris scores they set the atmoshere perfectly, they are certainly better than the new movies' rock like music...

I've read some of the original stories by Mr. Howard & they are awesome!!! if this movie can capture the essence of the books it will be a great movie franchise. Conan is more that just a musclebound killer in the books, he's like a Barbarian Indiana Jones so I hope they stay close to the classic stories.

Arnie´s movie was badass! And i bet my balls that this is going to be badass too!:P

Zounds & The Intruder@ Because the original film was far from what Howard wrote. Arnold was a slow and sluggish Conan and could only handle one liners as far as his acting skills go. The only thing that sold him as Conan was his physique. Outside of that the film missed the mark in so many ways. I thought the pacing was lacking. The script? Dumbing down a script to one-liners to match the lead is considered good script writing? Different strokes for different folks. The new film appears much darker to me and with the R rating we will hopefully see the violence and some of the nudity that were prevalent in Howard's books.

I can't help but agree. I think it's just a lot of misplaced nostalgia that has hung on the coattails of this just awful return to the 80's. Much the same as the 80's, we have terrible, disposable music and idiots seem to like cocaine again. At least we're NOW living in a great and creative time for cinema.

Not taking anything away from Arnie cause I love the first one! the only thing it did'nt have from the books was the way that Conan spoke, and strategized his attacks, but everything else was in there, the blood, the swords, the sorcery (James Earl Jones was awesome!) people don't give that movie enough credit!
