Since Marcus Nispel’s new
Conan film received the green light to begin production, many fans of the original Conan books, comics and films have been on the fence about supporting it. When actor Jason Momoa was announced as the man who would next portray the Cimmerian warrior on screen, fan approval seemed to spiral downward. The film did land a solid supporting cast, made up of Ron Perlman, Stephen Lang, Rose McGowan and Rachel Nichols; which has helped some fans hold their judgment until footage is released.
Today we have our first look at a
Conan set from Bistriza, Bulgaria, courtesy of OperationKino.net. Though none of the cast members are showcased in the stills, it does give us a feel of the film's overall tone:
No official synopsis for the film has been released by Lionsgate Entertainment, but
Conan is scheduled for release sometime in 2011.
