Lang: they just finished shooting in Bulgaria.

He also said he wasn't "an aficionado" of the previous Conan films.

He goes on to say: when he read the script for this film, he felt he could get behind it. It's very true to the world Robert E Howard created.

Jason Momoa is a "stud" and that he did a great job in the movie. Because Momoa outweighs him by 35 pounds "it took all of his old man wiles and strength to beat the hell out of him!" The film "starts with an action sequence and then goes for two hours with a break here and there"

Bad news is that there won't be any Conan stuff at Comic Con because the studio opted not to bring any.

That's a shame. And a bit worrying. Although it could just be that they have nothing ready of course. Be sure to watch the video for some more on Avatar and the soon to be released extended cut.

Here's a little something else for Barbarian fans. This is a wraparound cover for Dark Horse's Conan #25 by Geof Darrow, scheduled for September release. But apparently the cover may be deemed too violent and be withdrawn.
