Sony's latest promotion efforts for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance depicts exclusive photos and interviews with co-director Brian Taylor, all inside the March 2012 issue of SFX Magazine. While Taylor dots on the Rider urinating flames, Nicolas Cage tackling dual roles, and how to dodge the PG-13 rating violence-wise, the photos featured in the mag' depicts Cage, and the Rider himself. Check out the interview excerpts below, and the pics!

Foremost commenting on The Rider urinating fire in the trailers, Taylor says:
"That was actually a joke. I think that [executive producer] Avi Arad came up with it one day, and you have to be really careful when you make jokes around us, because we'll just take it and run with it and it ends up in the movie. That was pretty much how Crank 2 got made"

Next, discussing Nicolas Cage portraying both Blaze and the later-CGed Rider, Taylor says:
"We thought it would be fascinating and a lot of fun to have Nic approach this dual role and create a completely new persona for this creature," says Taylor. "Nic took it on as a creative creature challenge. He did a lot of research and had a lot of nightmares, and really went deep into what his version of that demon would be. He was coming at us with some really crazy stuff, like ancient Egyptian ceremonial dances, and we wanted him to study insects, and the way that they move. Some of the things that we came up with are so leftfield that we almost didn't think they'd make the movie, but we ended up putting them in. As a character the Rider is constantly keeping you balance and doing odd little that you don't expect - as much as he's burning people alive, it's almost more about psychological warfare."

And lastly, commenting on stretching violence with the PG-13 rating, Taylor offers:
"The good news for us is that he's the kind of character where we can let him be just as gnarly as he wants to be and we don't really run into trouble," laughs Taylor. "Here's a little bit of advise for young filmmakers who are trying to make a PG-13 movie that's super violent. You can burn as many people as you want. It's not a problem. Where you run into problems is if you're slicing people's arms and heads off, but you can burn hundreds of people alive and they don't have a problem with it!"

Nicolas Cage returns as Johnny Blaze in Columbia Pictures' and Hyde Park Entertainment's Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. In the successor to the worldwide hit Ghost Rider, Johnny still struggling with his curse as the devil's bounty hunter is hiding out in a remote part of Eastern Europe when he is recruited by a secret sect of the church to save a young boy (Fergus Riordan) from the devil (Ciarn Hinds). At first, Johnny is reluctant to embrace the power of the Ghost Rider, but it is the only way to protect the boy and possibly rid himself of his curse forever.

From directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance" promises to show you ol' flamehead like you've never seen him before, the sequel also stars Violante Placido, Johnny Whitworth, Christopher Lambert and Idris Elba; releasing in theaters February 15, 2012!

yeah its like hey lets just throw everything in...kitchen sink included! Forget about scraping the bad stuff!! Heck that would be most of Cage's stuff anyway. And those pictures look awful. They honestly look like something i could do on my laptop at home. LOL. I was hopeful for this...but i shouldve known better. The more i hear and see about this the more my hope diminishes.

I'll at least see the movie, despite the fact that Nicolas Cage is one of my least-favorite actors.

A so-so film by a mediocre director gets a sequel by a set of crappy directors who simply throw everything in for the fun of it. Poor Ghost Rider.

At least, that's how I see it so far.

this movie is going to not be good. I just dont see it.. I just can't stand nick Cage as an actor. When you play yourself basically in every roll you are not doing your job, acting like someone else.

I just laugh whenever i think of him as superman, it is the dumbest thing i have ever seen in my head.

In the interviews I've seen with these guys, they come close to basically saying hey, we just made shit; it's cool though.
