Just a little more insight on "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance--with Cage assuring us that this time it will be what the fans want.

"Cage continued by stating that the Ghost Rider sequel will focus on the more supernatural elements of the character."

"It's not going to be like any other comic book movie you've seen," said Cage. "We keep stressing that Ghost Rider is the most supernatural superhero of all and that's going to really come out in this movie."

Starring alongside Cage, Idris Elba, Ciarán Hinds, Christopher Lambert and Violante Placido, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance opens in theaters in 3D on February 17, 2012!

Yeah yeah yeah, I'll believe it when I see it. 'unlike any CBM you've seen'? Sounds really plastic to me.

When was the last time Nic Cage didn't suck in a movie?
RaMan
RaMan - 2/28/2011, 6:02 PM
I still like the first Ghost Rider movie...but then again I guess I like all of the Marvel movies (except 2003 Hulk, though it was entertaining the story line sucked and Hulk was 50 feet tall when he got angry)

I truly thing Spirit of vengeance will be better than the first.

The look of the actual ghost rider was bad ass. I think
that dog turd of a movie "Face Off" was it for me. Cage
sucked in it. he sucked in Con Air. Buscemi was the best
part of that whole thing. His last good movie was Raising Arazona and that was in 1987. Stick a fork in that guy. He's done.

@manofmidgard- Agreed. I didn't think the first Ghost Rider film was all that bad.

Kick Ass was good. thank good his part was a small one.
he has ten crappy movies to each one of his good ones.
in one of his newest movies he plays a wizard. Nic Cage
as a wizard... dont make me laugh. thats as bad as Ray
Liotta playing a wizard in " the name of the king". that
movie was a hugh piece of crap.

All they need to do is fix the bad acting, the cheesy spots, and the formulaic plot from the last movie and they've got themselves a winner.

Every time you watch a Nic Cage movie, you loose two
hours of your life you'll never get back. I'd rather
have an air horn blown in my face for two hours.

GR looked great in the first one but I could not care less about this movie. The first one was trash and I'm hesitant to see anything with Lambert in it...aside from Highlander obviously.

Bad Lieutenant was good. I enjoyed National Treasure.

My main problems with Ghost Rider were that the battle sequences were all the same. There was no suspense to them and they all lasted at most 5 minutes and most ended the same exact way.

Minor problems I had were his accent (which I got over upon my second viewing of the film) and the ride to the final battle. Caretaker was like "Welp here it is...lates." I was hoping for some epic Ghost Rider & Ghost Rider versus Blackheart action, but instead he hands him a shotgun and leaves.

I think the first one had problems because they re-shot so much of it and took the film from a "hard" R to PG-13. Nic Cage is a good actor, not great, but good. I'd much rather see someone else in the role of Johnny Blaze (My vote was with Josh Halloway from Lost), but regardless, Ghost Rider was one of my first comics as a kid and I'll go see this movie in theaters.

this movie looks extremely promising. i liked the first but it could be better.

Belive it or not, i'm a hugh comicbook fan and for the
most part a fan of the comic movies. it just pisses me
off when studios or actors screw up the characters I
grew up with. my hope is all the comic movies great.
but some just plain suck. in the case of ghost rider
who i'm a big fan of, the lead role was miscast and
the script was bland. I expected more.

It seems to me like he's begging us to like him. Iactually have faith in this movie though. It kind of sounds like a reboot even though Cage is still involved. Kind of like the approach Aronofsky is taking with Hugh Jackman in The Wolverine. I mean cage is even promising a new origin which excites me and scares me because the first movie had the origin mostly right with some small changes. Not to mention in the comics, Danny Ketch is later revealed to bbe the brother of Johnny Blaze. In this movie, Blaze is said to be helping a little boynamed Danny so that could be something they screwed with.

I wish a supernatural power would magic his ass out of the starring role and replace him with someone who hasn't already effed it up.

I like Cage, he is one of us (a comic book fan and an everyman) people should really cut him some slack, if I was an actor, I would definitely love to portray a comic book hero. I'll definitely pitch my money into this a 100 times over before I would First Class, at least the Ghost Rider movie got the characters and origin right...
