A follow-up to the 2009 release of G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra, which grossed over $300M worldwide, Paramount Pictures, MGM and Skydance Productions, in association with Hasbro and di Bonaventura Pictures, commences production on G.I. Joe: Retaliation. In this sequel, the G.I. Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra; they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence.

According to the guys over at Generals Joe's, an article in
USA Today reveals that a good four-minute featurette has been produced and is expected to air in theaters on the 25th of January in front of Jeremy Renner's latest film Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters 3D. check out the excerpt from the article below:

But Moore has a different marketing strategy this time: A four-minute scene in 3-D that went over well when it was unveiled in Asia (to take advantage of popular South Korean actor Lee Byung-hun) will premiere in theaters showing Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters on Jan. 25.

G.I. Joe: Retaliation stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Bruce Willis, Channing Tatum, Adrianne Palicki, D.J. Cotrona, Ray Stevenson, Byung-hun Lee and Ray Park. The film, which is directed by Jon Chu, is set to blast into theaters March 29th, 2013.

I hope so, would be nice if they release a new trailer or something. Release some new stills and posters, the marketing sucks so far, lol.

Isn't odd to put this film with a R rated movie? I guess Hansel and Gretel is rated R. There was two restricted trailers, but I haven't seen an official rating yet.

Change it from Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity to A Real American Hero or IDGAF.

@PatriotSuperguy, Yes, tremendously. The 12" dolls, the comics, the cartoons, the action figures, all of it, it was never suppose to be an army for the League of Nations or whatever it is suppose to be. G.I.Joe is the code name for America's daring, highly trained special mission force. Its purpose: to defend human freedom against Cobra, a ruthless terrorist organization determined to rule the world.

They aren't a black ops team for the New World Order, they're the U.S.A.'s special forces team.
