Look Back at TV Addicts' Cast Breakdown of CW's Arrow

Oliver Queen: A 27-year-old reformed bad boy, who after having spent five years shipwrecked on a tiny, brutally dangerous island in the South China Sea returns to town a different man. Or to be more specific, a tortured, thoughtful master of the bow with a ferocious determination to make a difference.
.......................................

Tommy Merlyn: 28 years old and devil-smooth, Tommy is a trustafarian like Oliver, a spectacularly rich young man whose life revolves around parties, clubs, liquor and lots of anonymous sex. Unlike Oliver, he can’t seem to understand his former best friend’s sudden change of lifestyle and direction.

CW's Arrow stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, Katie Cassidy as Dinah “Laurel” Lance, Susanna Thompson as Moira Queen, and David Ramsey as John Diggle.

Why can't there be a great Batman show? It seems like his villans and universe would adapt more easily to the screen then Superman's did in smallville.

Please don't tell me he's going to spend 10 years before actually donning the costume....(or calling himself Green Arrow for that matter).

Eh. I love Green Arrow but I'm concerned for this show. The CW's original programming sucks IMO.

You know, like what the above poster said... a syndicated Batman procedural would have the potential to be something really, really special. Imagine a young Bruce Wayne returning to Gotham after training and cutting his teeth as Batman and carving out his legend.

Something like "The Dark Knight" but on a slightly smaller scale. With the write team behind it, it would be a "Sopranos"-level hit. Take a page from Nolan's book and make it dark, brooding, and true to the source material.

But INSTEAD... they waste resources on this...

There will never be a live action batman tv show. Warner Bros. sees him as too valuable a character for tv, they only want him in movies.

People are judging all ready?

We have no idea of the context of what we're looking at.
It could be a flashback, it's obviously not an action scene which is why he has no GREEN COSTUME on ... obviously!

People need to be patient.

Hollywood does not copy the comic exactly my nerdly friends, its just not practical, and if the same people that brought you Smallville are bringing us this think about how long it was before you saw Clark in the old blue and red tights .......

I'm glad DC isn't quitting in the live-action tv department, and I'm really excited that their using this medium to show off lesser known heroes like Christopher Chance and Green Arrow. Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman are all big enough characters to reserve for the big screen. Besides, they all had, at least one, good tv show.

@MoonKnight91: Ummmmm....he does have blonde hair. Maybey, your looking at the pictures of Colin Donell and mistaking them for the pictures of Stephen Amell.

@comix: There already was a live-action Batman tv show, and it was excellent. I know you probably are talking about a modern age Batman, but you did say the word "never".

I don't believe, we will have to wait for the last episode of the series to see GA put on his costume. The producers, writers, and directors of Smallville were all able to pull that off because Superman was an already well known character.

Could be a good show, or could be another Wonderwoman!!!

I just wish they would get their acts together and release the bigger characters in movies and use the medium of TV for smaller comic book heros, like Nightwing.

I would also love a decent punisher TV show.

Will we ever see this rumoured new Justice league movie?!!

Il give it a chance it could be good who knows, but wouldn't it make more sense to set it in the same continuity as smallville seeing as how he was already a character on that show

This is probably when he first gets back to town. So he hasn't made his Green Arrow costume yet.

I don't see blonde hair, but I do see some facial hair. No goatee though. That's disappointing.

I hope the costume somewhat resembles the costume from the comics. From what I heard, that may not be the case. :/

@PeterParker1991 I think it's supposed to premiere in the fall.
