'Metamorpho' Set To Appear In Season Two Of ARROW

While it may just be an Easter Egg for comic book fans, a design of a van which is set to be used in the second season of Arrow seemingly hints that 'Metamorpho' (a.k.a. 'The Element Man') will be paying Oliver Queen a visit when the hit CW series returns.

Marc Guggenheim has Tweeted (see below) this mock-up for a van which is set to appear in the upcoming second season of Arrow. While it could just be an Easter Egg for observant fans, it could also be an indication that Rex Mason, a.k.a. The Element Man/Metamorpho will appear in the series. However, while the "No super powers" rule may mean we'll see a very different version of the character, the planned introduction of Barry Allen as The Flash might just see that all change!

The catalyst to superpower introduction should be Zods arrival in Man of Steel.

Flash, Count Vertigo, and Metamorpho would all be great.

I hope so much they're introducing superpowers.

Because if not then this is a huge waste of time. I don't wanna see some mechanical-alternative form of superpowers.

WB TV . . . think BIG!

And please, don't change the chemistry too much, wow you actually have a following!

Remember, don't "Human Target" Season 2. This show has a lot of possibilities it can bring:

YES!

NO!

I love Arrow and I am extremely excited about season with the Flash, Black Canary and very possibly even Ted Kord. I love all the nods to the DC comics universe, but just wish they would have done a much better job with Brian Markov than some coward scientist.

Hm. I never really like Metamorpho. Always came off as a dick to me (and not a funny Guy Gardner kind). But then again I havent read a ton of stuff with him in it. At any rate, I actually prefer Element Woman. Her eccentricity makes her interesting and oddly cute...

Um... so yeah did you guys noticed they killed off Geo-Force last season?

@lntrn8 So true. At first I was like "this show seriously needs a woman's touch" but then when it happened the women completely [frick]ed up the dynamic (I'mnotsexistsodon'tevenstartthatbs).

I'm sure its just a nice nod to the comics fans. Hardly worthy of trying to stir something up.

Metamorpho Chemicals? WTF? Wouldn't it make more sense to have it be STAGG CHEMICALS or something after Metamopho's villain Simon Stagg?

eh, whatever.

I bet Beware the Batman gets Metamorpho right... not so confident about Arrow. Batman and the Outsiders FTW!

It's just an easter egg. Unless they want to fill the show with characters who make Oliver look even more like a useless dick with a bow and arrows.

Call me crazy but if I am not mistaken it should be called Stagg Industries not Metamorpho Chemical? Because Simon Stagg created the company that would end up creating Metamorpho.

On a different note Human Target was a great show.

Hope this means superpowers are en route to....Starling....City. Will give me a reason to tune back in to this show. Also, have always wanted to see Metamorpho in live action.

Metamorpho is probably going to be a normal guy without super powers that uses some machine of chemical to use the elements as a weapon.

This show is not going to introduce super powers nor is it going to be part of the DCCU. People with super pwers don't fit in this world just like they didn't in the Dark knight Trilogy. Count vertigo is a drug dealer for Heaven's sake and the Royal Flush gang are a team of Bank robbers.

Well, they have confirmed Barry Allen/Flash will be appearing this season, so the "no super power" rule has apparently been amended since their original plan, which is fine by me. Time will tell.
mgeoff88
mgeoff88 - 8/8/2013, 11:37 AM
I think the whole Nolanverse approach just too limiting and problematic. You're bringing in these great superpowered characters and then they have to have be desuperpowered and grounded to make sense for the show.

I say just throw the whole no superpowers rule out the window. When I heard Barry Allen was going to appear on the show to serve as a spin-off for his own TV series, I assumed he will have superpowers on Arrow.

Why not have superpowered characters with their superpowers intact on the show before The Flash appears? I want to see the real Metamorpho. Not a grounded and realistic take on the character.

@marvel72 I would love to see a Nightwing TV show! Not on the CW though. I would want the show on another network.

They need Count Vertigo to return with fully developed psychic powers.

I am sure they realizing they need to introduce powers in the show due to the fact that it really limits you on characters etc...

Doing a no-powers show would be like doing The Avengers, but BEFORE they thawed Cap and the gamma radiation and the armored suit building with the lightning and the hammer-striking. Basically, a show about a couple of guys who will one day meet some powerful titans and become awesome larger-than-life powerful heroes themselves...only not today. Today, they're going on a blind double-date, only Barry's paired up with Dinah and Oliver's dating Iris! Oh, no! Twist!
