Screen-writers Guggenheim (Eli Stone, Call of Duty 3), Michael Green (2nd Unit & Asst. Director of Matrix Reloaded & The Perfect Storm) and Greg Berlanti (Director) have been working on the 3rd draft of the script, refining locations, and working around studio notes.

“This morning, we sat down to talk Green Lantern, and we ended up riffing for an hour and a half on another, much more obscure character...I’m sure the studio wouldn’t be happy about it, but we’re not going to blow the deadline. We’ll get it in.”
“[The changes are] nothing that’s affecting the storyline, really,” he said. “It’s pretty well set."

AND while the rumors abound as to who could portray the role of Hal Jordan (Ryan Gosling, Matthew Settle or David Boreanaz) the question of who is going to portray Superman is still up in the air as well, with Guggenheim having this to say;

"I love that stuff [cameos] in general, Robert Downey, Jr. in ‘The Hulk’ was awesome, and I think the fans would enjoy it. Brandon Routh or even Tom Welling [in 'Green Lantern'] would be awesome. And anything is possible. The beauty part of being the writer, though, is that I don’t actually have to make that judgment call.”

Please no David Boreanaz in GL, that would kill the movie for me. I really really hate his acting. He can stay on TV where if by random chance I see him I just change the channel. Although I would really like to see a GL movie, Boreanaz... would just really kill it for me.

Boreanaz is the man
Angel is a killer series and he kicks ass
now he probably is not the best pick for GL
but never speak ill of him!
