As I said in the teaser, I believe that we will see Adam Warlock in Guardians of the Galaxy. Why? Well on top of being one of the coolest Marvel characters, he's also actively on the Guardians roster. Keep in mind, this could all be nothing, but I truly do believe we will see the android in the movie in some capacity.
THE COCOON
As fellow ComicBookMovie user NovaCorpsFan
pointed out, we have the cocoon in the post-credits scene of Thor: The Dark World. While none of the characters directly address or acknowledge the cocoon or it's contents, the choice of shots is peculiar. Why this cocoon? There are a million other things that James Gunn and Marvel could put into that shot and they chose this cocoon. Something tells me that James Gunn chose this shot to perhaps let us know that Adam Warlock does exist in the MCU and that he's lying in suspended animation.
EL VERBAL DIARHHEA
I take almost everything El Mayimbe says with a 4 pound grain of salt, that said, I have to give credit to the man, he's occasionally right. He did know that Bradley Cooper is Rocket Raccoon after all...
So when El Mayimbe posted the following on his Twitter:
I thought, well he must be on some heavy drugs if he thinks that. However, seeing the post-credits scene in Thor: The Dark World; it gives me reason to believe that perhaps he's right in this rare occasion. We all like to diss this man, but sometimes he's right, and I'm starting to believe him about Warlock being in Guardians.
MARVEL'S GAMEPLAN
Marvel is notorius as of late for setting up a gamechanging event in many of their movies. I think back to Thor: The Dark World, and the twist that
*SPOILERS* Loki is impersonating Odin as King of Asgard. Similarly, I think that Guardians needs something like that, something to set a status quo going forward.
Let's look at the Official Synopsis for Guardians of the Galaxy:
Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits--Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon; Groot, a tree-like humanoid; the deadly and enigmatic Gamora; and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand--with the galaxy's fate in the balance.
CONCLUSION
This is where evidence stops and speculation begins; I think that in the third act of the movie Adam Warlock awakens and informs the Guardians that the orb is an Infinity Gem, and Warlock informs them of the risks and dangers associated with the Infinity Gems. All of this of course is a lead up to...
