To date, only six movies have managed to cross the $2 billion mark at the global box office, and only one actor has appeared in four of them!
James Cameron's Avatar: The Way of Water recently hit the $2B milestone, which means Zoe Saldaña - who plays Na'vi warrior Neytiri - has now featured in that sequel, the original Avatar, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.
The other two films are Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Titanic - which Cameron also directed.
It's an impressive achievement, and Saldaña has taken to Instagram to acknowledge her fans' support while sharing a video montage spotlighting clips of her as Neytiri and Guardians of the Galaxy's Gamora.
"Wow! What can I say about today?," she captioned the post. "It has been a rollercoaster of emotions for sure. Gratitude for the acknowledgment, and absolute exhilaration that I get to wake up every morning and go do what I love. Never in a million years did I ever aim to make history by being in these movies. I’ve always been lucky to have been chosen and asked to join these amazing, groundbreaking projects."
"Thank you to @jamescameronofficial @jamesgunn and @therussobrothers for trusting me with their vision. Thank YOU to all our fans for making these movies what they are today - history in the making!"
Saldaña didn't appear in the recent Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, but Gamora is expected to be a major focal point of the upcoming GOTG Vol. 3, and may show up in the next two Avengers movies.
Cameron also has at least two more Avatar sequels planned, so she might well get the opportunity to rack up a few more $2B hits!
