We know that Adam Warlock is most likely going to be introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but is there a chance Quasar will be joining him?
Director James Gunn Tweeted the image below, which has led to speculation that the script he's currently writing for the third film will feature an incarnation of the space-faring Marvel hero. Of course, Gunn could just be having some fun, or perhaps he did simply get a bit nostalgic about his family's antique VCR.
Like Peter Quill, Wendell Vaughn is originally from earth, so his introduction could spark an intriguing dynamic between the two characters. Plus, we know Marvel Studios is planning to expand the cosmic side of the MCU substantially following Captain Marvel and GOTG Vol. 3, so Quasar showing up would make a certain amount of sense.
What do you guys think? Are people reading way too much into this, or could Quasar blast his way onto the team in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3?
