This is indeed some old news, but are you excited as I am about the The Texas Chainsaw

Massacre 3D? More importanlty, are you psyche because Plantinum Dunes isn't doing it? I

love the fact it isn't a remake, but a sequel to 1974 Tobe Hooper's film. If you been

surfing the internet like I have, you already know they have a awesome cast for the film.

We are told that Tobe Hooper (orginal Director) and Gunnar Hansen (original Leatherface)

will be making cameos in the movie. This is awesome S**T!. Not to mention, they already

found their new leatherface, Dan Yeager. He is describe as a man standing 6'6 with

"Hugh farm boy arms." He sounds like the perfect fit for the job. Also Clint Eastwood's

son, Scott Eastwood, will be in the movie. I wonder if he is going to be the hero in the

film and do some Dirty Harry S**t? Don't forget one of the best hip hop/R&B artist, Trey

Songz will be making his acting debut as well. This should be good! Other cast include Paul

Rae (True Grit), Keram Malicki-Sánchez (Punisher: War Zone, American History X) and Ritchie

Montgomery (Premonition, looper) Bill Moseley, Alexandria Daddario, Tania Raymonde, and Sue

Rock.

The plot of the movie involves Heather and her friends traveling to Texas to collect an

inheritance. We find out that she is the cousin of Leatherface. I haven't even seen a

teaser trailer for this movie and I think it will be better than the Michael Bay's version.

The movie is set for a release date in October 2012. I really hope this movie is so good

that someone from New Line/Paramount will allow Twisted Pictures/Liongates to have the

rights to make other future movies based on the horror icons we know and love. I will

cross my fingers. If they are successful with this film, I believe there will be more Texas sequels in the near future for Lionsgate.

i actually haven't heard about this at all.

I don't know about anyone else, but i thought the remake was very good! The sequel, not so much.

Feelings mutual. The remake was pretty good, with the characterization of Letherface and the intense moments. And the prequel that ties with that movie was a waste of money (better off being an ACTUAL sequel).

I am still debating either Letherface or Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 is the best of the series. I enjoy the dark humor in the TCM 2 but Letherface was just brutal.

No love for Bill Moseley? Devil's Rejects, House of 1000 Corpses. this man is a psychopath and a pretty decent actor. this movie does look pretty cool, but its definitly lacking in the fanbase department, not too many people in this generation have seen the original, and thats a damn shame
