Following our first look at Jamie Clayton (Sense8) as the new Pinhead last week, we have another image of the actress in full Cenobite mode thanks to a new Hellraiser promo still shared by USA Today (via Bloody Disgusting).

While the previous image suggested that Pinhead's overall design would be fairly similar to Doug Bradley's original take, this shot tells a different story.

If you look below the jawline, you'll see that this version of the Hell Priest appears to be sporting deep gashes in her skin, and what could be some kind of mechanical skeleton underneath.

It may simply be a couple of extreme upgrades, but we have seen machine-like Cenobites in the past, so this would be nothing new for the franchise.

Check out the image below, and let us know what you make of it. We're hearing that a first trailer might be right around the corner, so be sure to keep an eye out.

Notorious horror author Clive Barker's 1987 adaptation of his own novella introduced one of cinema's most recognizable and enduring movie monsters in Pinhead, the leader of a group of demonic beings known as Cenobites. The movie went on to achieve cult status, spawning multiple inferior sequels, a short-lived TV series, comic books, and more.

Specific details on this new version are still few and far between, but director David Bruckner (The Night House) recently gave us a better idea of what to expect. "It's the tale of a young woman, who's struggling with addiction and compulsive behavior, that comes in contact accidentally with the box and unfortunately begins to dabble with it. And chaos ensues."

Hellraiser is set to premiere on October 7.

Never been big on Hellraizer, but it looks intriguing and disgusting which I assume is what they were going for.

I don't see what's 'female' about it though. Isn't the character meant be non gendered.

@noahthegrand - Overall this 'feels' like hellraiser more than a lot of the stuff we've gotten since the first few.

@Deklipz - yeah they really lost the mood with some of the later ones where they’re taking plot threads from Jacob’s Ladder, Se7en, and generic slashers. I think a lot of it came down to misunderstandings of the original combined with a trend of them taking unconnected movies and rewriting them to be Hellraiser movies to make more money
