Care to discover which iconic scene from the original will be re-created for the show? For those few who still have faith in horror reboots or are hoping for a show that lives up to the original series...

Late last October, MTV ordered a full 10 episode season of a TV reboot of the classic horror franchise, Scream. The series is set to star the likes of Willa Fitzgerald, Bex Taylor-Klaus, John Karna, Conner Weil, Amadeus Serafini, Carlson Young, and Joel Gretsch. The latest actress confirmed to join the roster is none other than Bella Thorne.

Speaking in an interview with Yahoo Celebrity, Thorne revealed that a specific scene from the original 1996 film will be re-created for the contemporary show. Not just any scene but the iconic opening scene to the franchise, which starred Drew Barrymore. As specifically quoted (and simply put) by Bella Thorne, "I will re-enact the famous scene of Drew Barrymore in the original series."

This is definitely interesting, though it is already known that the show will have an original storyline that will focus on "a YouTube video going viral, which soon leads to problems for teenager Audrey and seemingly serves as the catalyst for a murder that opens up a window in the quiet town of Lakewood with a troubled past."

Also worth mentioning is that Wes Craven (director: Scream, Scream 2, Scream 3, Scre4m) recently tweeted out this photo, stating that it was  a "Sneak peek of new Ghost Face Mask! Fun World is introducing it tomorrow at the Halloween Show in NYC."

This has led to some confusion, as many people misunderstood the Tweet, believing that this was our first look at the re-designed "darker, more organic" mask that this show will use. However, it turns out that this is NOT a reveal of the show's version of the mask and fans of the franchise can rest easy knowing that it's a newly created variation of the mask that the company has license to distribute.

The show is intended to air in late 2015, with a pilot directed by Jamie Travis. Wes Craven is a producer, though Scream creator Kevin Williamson is reportedly un-involved. Stay tuned for more news on the series as it comes.

Welcome, I am Darkknight2149. I am primarily a fan of comic books and their various adaptations, as well as horror and other classic film franchises.

As far as the "DC vs. Marvel" rivalry goes, I'm really not biased when it comes to studios and publishers. Preferences are fine, but I've never understood the basing of opinions purely by the studio/publisher that makes it.
