"I want this to be much more frightening than the first movie as well, because I think that is true to what 'Silent Hill' is," said Bassett. "They are the most frightening computer games ever made..."

Even though the first film did poorly, it was however, one of the most faithful video game adaptations to date. Now with what the director has in mind, the sequel should be even better.

"For years, Heather Mason and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t fully understand. Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by terrifying nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever."

Even though Silent Hill: Revelation 3-D has no official release date, it has been reported be set for release sometime in 2012.

@WesleyGibson: Exactly! the movie was so much fun to watch, but any flaws i took the same way i took flaws in the game series. i wouldn't say the game had confusing moments.. more like wtf was that? lol but i find those very same wtf were they thinking to be some of my fav moments since they seem to have stuck with me all these years.

this movie is what i am waiting for, not another resident evil...
