In an interview with
COLLIDER promoting the second season of the hit TV show
Justified, Star Timohy Olyphant was questioned about the rumor that stated he was screen testing for the starring role in
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter along with Benjamin Walker, James D'Arcy, Adrien Brody, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Josh Lucas. Olyphant had this to say about the rumor:
Is it true that you’re also testing for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter?
OLYPHANT: No, that’s not true. I’m not doing that, no. Thanks for asking, but no, that’s not true.
Production is set to star later this month in New Orleans and Los Angeles with a June 22nd, 2012 release.
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter re-imagining of Lincoln's life that depicts the 16th president as an axe-throwing, highly accomplished killer of vampires, an obsession of his since those bloodsuckers supposedly took the life of his mother. Lincoln eventually learns that the vampires have fled to the southern states of the U.S. and are concocting a plan to conquer and enslave the entire country – this in turn leads to the Civil War between the Union and the Confederacy, the latter of which the vampires are aligned with.
