ZOMBIELAND: DOUBLE TAP - It's Time To Nut Up Or Shut Up In The Hysterical Official Trailer & Poster

With the imminent arrival of Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Sony Pictures has released the first official teaser trailer for their long-awaited Zombieland sequel, Zombieland: Double Tap, which will see Ruben Fleischer (Venom) return to the director's chair with a screenplay from original scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. David Callaham (Wonder Woman 1984) also contributed.

The upcoming sequel features the return of America's favorite post-apocalyptic family played by 3x Academy Award-nominee Woody Harrelson, Academy Award-nominee Jesse Eisenberg, Academy Award-winner Emma Stone and Academy Award-nominee Abigail Breslin.

We'll also be introduced to a number of hilarious new characters played by Zoey Deutch (Set It Up), Avan Jogia (Shaft), Rosario Dawson (Daredevil), Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley) and Luke Wilson (Old School). Plus, Dan Aykroyd (Ghostbusters) and Bill Murray (yes, really) are also set to make cameo appearances as fictionalized versions of themselves.

After the events of the first film, Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita and Little Rock move to the American heartland as they face off against evolved zombies, fellow survivors and the growing pains of the snarky makeshift family.

Zombieland: Double Tap features:
Director: Ruben Fleischer
Woody Harrelson as Tallahassee
Jesse Eisenberg as Columbus
Emma Stone as Wichita/Krista
Abigail Breslin as Little Rock
Zoey Deutch as Madison
Avan Jogia as Berkeley
Rosario Dawson as Nevada
Thomas Middleditch in an undisclosed role
Luke Wilson in an undisclosed role
Bill Murray as himself
Dan Aykroyd as himself

Zombieland: Double Tap hits theaters October 18

I feel like this movie is going to get the Sin City: A Dame to Kill for treatment. It’ll be a somewhat well-received follow-up released 5 years too late.

Also my favorite part of this trailer was Edgar Wright subtly acknowledging that the trailer rips off the doppelgänger survivors joke from Shaun of the Dead.

That was fun. My favorite part was when Woody Harrelson pushed away Jesse Eisenberg off his lap.

@FearTheLiving - If you only think of Iron Man when you hear AC/DC, you're probably too young to be on the Internet.

@Omegacron - Yeah that must be it, not that I've watched Iron Man a ton of times... yup I'm just a child.

Thanks for the unwarranted hostility much appreciate it.

@FearTheLiving - No hostility intended. But AC/DC has been one of the world's most popular bands for 40+ years, with their music being used on hundreds of soundtracks for popular movies... yet, based on your comment you immediately associate one of their best songs with a movie that came out, what, 11 years ago? That makes you sound very young.

@Omegacron -

"No hostility intended. But AC/DC has been one of the world's most popular bands for 40+ years, with their music being used on hundreds of soundtracks for popular movies... "

Never stated otherwise, but it just makes me think of Iron Man now.

"yet, based on your comment you immediately associate one of their best songs with a movie that came out, what, 11 years ago? That makes you sound very young."

Maybe but we've also been with the MCU for those 11 years and AC/DC has essentially become an anthem for Iron Man/Tony Stark (at least for the MCU) so to instantly assume I'm young for associating them with said character and movies is a little odd especially on this site of all places. So while I'm not 40+ years of age or "too young to be on the internet" 11 years is still a large chunk of my life so yeah I associate it with Iron Man, just like I associate all types of music with some of my favorite movies, shows, and games. It's just how I'm wired... sue me.
