With the imminent arrival of Quentin Tarantino's
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Sony Pictures has released the first official teaser trailer for their long-awaited
Zombieland sequel,
Zombieland: Double Tap, which will see Ruben Fleischer (
Venom) return to the director's chair with a screenplay from original scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. David Callaham (
Wonder Woman 1984) also contributed.
The upcoming sequel features the return of America's favorite post-apocalyptic family played by 3x Academy Award-nominee Woody Harrelson, Academy Award-nominee Jesse Eisenberg, Academy Award-winner Emma Stone and Academy Award-nominee Abigail Breslin.
We'll also be introduced to a number of hilarious new characters played by Zoey Deutch (
Set It Up), Avan Jogia (
Shaft), Rosario Dawson (
Daredevil), Thomas Middleditch (
Silicon Valley) and Luke Wilson (
Old School). Plus, Dan Aykroyd (
Ghostbusters) and Bill Murray (yes, really) are also set to make cameo appearances as fictionalized versions of themselves.
After the events of the first film, Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita and Little Rock move to the American heartland as they face off against evolved zombies, fellow survivors and the growing pains of the snarky makeshift family.
