Mark Ruffalo Reiterates Desire To Make PLANET HULK Happen; Is Marvel Developing It?

Does Avengers: Age of Ultron set the stage for the long rumoured Planet Hulk movie? We still don't know, but Mark Ruffalo talks here about his desire to adapt the popular comic book story and offers an updates of sorts in regards to its current status at Marvel...

Talking to IGN recently, Mark Ruffalo was asked what's next for Hulk following Avengers: Age of Ultron, to which he replied "I think there's a lot of places to go with him [Hulk]." When the site suggested that one of those could be outer space, the actor replied: "Well he's going to space. Yeah, I mean there's some talk of maybe Planet Hulk. I'd be completely interested in entertaining that." Don't get too excited just yet though, as Ruffalo went on to say that he hasn't been actively talking to Marvel about the project, and reiterated that it isn't part of Marvel's announced slate. Right now, it seems like the most likely place for Planet Hulk to happen will be in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, setting the stage for Avengers: Infinity War and keeping the Green Goliath off the table during Captain America: Civil War...be sure to share your thoughts and theories in the usual place!

Why does everyone want Planet Hulk WHEN THE INCREDIBLE HULK SET UP LEADER FOR THE NEXT HULK FILM?!?!?!?!

Oh wait I forgot, The Incredible Hulk is barely counted as a member of the MCU and is the MCU's bastard child.

"Are Marvel Developing It?"

I know that's probably grammatically correct over in the Isle of Tea and Crumpets, but I can't help but cringe at that.

Planet Hulk was a really stupid storyline, it made the focus on the Hulk solely rather than Bruce which is why it sucked. The whole point of the Hulk is the dynamic between him and Bruce, removing Bruce from the equation and you remove the character.

They attempt to solve this by making the Hulk think and emote like Bruce, but thats more combining the two aspects into one rather than keeping them seperate as intended.

Not a big fan of Marvel adapting Planet Hulk, decent storyline in the comics, but not a place I'd like to see Hulk go in the films (Literally). Just give us Incredible Hulk 2 with Leader, Tim Blake Nelson's balls must be oh so blue by now.

I want a Planet Hulk film, but I want to see it tweaked so that Ruffalo is as big a deal as the Hulk is. I want Bruce Banner to be seen as a god and for even the biggest monsters to fear him just because they know what he is capable of, even when he's normal. It'd be so cool to have someone like tiny Bruce Banner intimidate these great big monsters because they know he could Hulk out at any minute.

It wasn't good, but it happened.

Never understood why Marvel more-or-less disowns TIH. Is it because of Norton being such a cock and having to recast? If there's been a story, please tell me so I can quit whining, but I put TIH in the Top 5 MCU films and I'm ready to see more come from it.
