Connecting The First Couple Of Iron Man 2 Photos

Iron Man 2 is the most talked about sequel Marvel has to offer. Slashfilm ran a comparison on the first 2 official photos from the set and it is pretty interesting what they came up with.

These in depth photos were released on slashfilm from a reader that put two and two together.

Below we see the pic that is Mickey Rourke as Whiplash. Many are speculating that this is a first time in the tech armor shot for Mickey as the suit looks as though it is in its preliminary stage.



Here we see Tony puzzling over his computer with the Iron Man suits in the background, but what has got Tony looking so concerned?


If you look closely and pay attention to the news, Tony is actually looking at a map of the race track (Monaco Gran Prix) that Whiplash is at. Check it out.


On the computer screen in the left hand corner of the above pic it looks like there is a spec picture of the Whiplash armor.


Could these pics give us a glimpse of when Tony Stark realizes he has a major problem that is Whiplash?

That's some constructive criticism DarkAvengers, I am glad you put some thought into it.

On a side note, I don't get the whole referring to someone as gay to be a negative comment thing. Aren't Ian McKellen and Niel Patrick Harris Gay? Hell isn't Shibazz? Doesn't that actually mean calling someone gay would lean more towards coolness? Sorry, tangent....

Dark Avenger- Why do hate on the man...lol He is a fairly decent actor .. All the guy needs to play cap is to bulk up which i reiterate a good regiment would def accomplish it....

Armor Wars? Or the Five Nightmares? I suspect using elements of the updated story would make more sense. Using a young Stane for this movie would seem too cheesy, so Hammer is playing that part.

I see what you're saying but Hammer was responsible for the Armor Wars though. He's the one that hired the Ghost to break into Stark Industries to steal all of the Stark tech so that storyline makes more sense to me.

It could be that Hammer broke Whiplash out, gave him the tech, and sent him to televised race in order to get Starks attention.

What's this about Whiplash wearing armor? We don't know for sure if he even has a suit, or just wears regular clothes over that harness. He never wore armor in the comics! Not ALL of Iron Man's villains are armored, y'know! And I don't recall Whiplash being Russian either. IDK why they would combine him with the Crimson Dynamo. I'd much rather see Dynamo and Titanium Man vs. Iron Man I(in the silver centurion suit) and II(Rhodes)! Even though this was kinda done in the first film with Iron Monger, the ante could be upped, with a Mandarin sub-plot moving steadily along!! No War Machine please! Rhodes needs to become a second Iron Man!!!
